Purpose. The purpose of the article is to clarification of approaches to the improvement of logistics and marketing support of managing the oil and fat export supply chain. Methodology of research. Theoretical and methodological basis of the study has been formed by the scientific works of domestic and foreign scientists in the field of logistics and marketing (to identify scientific approaches to marketing and logistics management of export supply chain management), methods of critical, systematic and comparative analysis (to analyze the features of marketing and logistics management of export oil and fat supply chain), methods of graphical analysis (to clearly display the research results), as well as the abstract and logical method (for the logical generalization of theoretical principles and formulation of research conclusions). Findings. It has been formed that the global situation in the oil and fat market, consumer preferences and tastes in the world are changing dynamically and pose new challenges to companies that can be addressed by gaining more sustainable competitive advantages than those already gained due to the marketing- and logistics-oriented approaches to business activity. It is determined that logistics and marketing are defined as the main orientations of management in a company and interpreted in the real sense as significant spheres of functional and integrated processes in company, and in a modern company marketing must be logistic, logistics must be a marketing one. It is established that a key position in the export supply chain of oil and fat products is occupied by the consumer. It is proved that one of the possible directions of effective consideration of market challenges is the logistization of the marketing activity of oil and fat enterprises and the use of integrated marketing logistics. It is substantiated that formation of sustainable competitive advantages of oil and fat companies in the global supply chains is possible due to the development of marketing-mix that will include marketing and logistics components. Originality. Theoretical and methodological principles have been deepened and of scientific and applied recommendations for improving the logistics and marketing support of export supply chain management have been developed. In particular, a logistics scheme for the export chain of oil and fat supply has been developed, which, in contrast to the existing ones, involves the use of river transport, which will reduce logistics costs, improve logistics services and increase customer satisfaction. Practical value. The results of the study can be implemented in the practice of managing export supply chains of domestic enterprises, which will increase the efficiency of export activities by reducing logistics costs, improving the level of logistics services and increasing the degree of customer satisfaction. In 1998, the Council of Logistics Management modified its definition of logistics to indicate that logistics is a subset of supply chain management and that the two terms are not synonymous. Now that this difference has been recognized by the premier logistics professional organization, the challenge is to determine how to successfully implement supply chain management. This paper concentrates on operationalizing the supply chain management framework suggested in a 1997 article. Case studies conducted at several companies and involving multiple members of supply chains are used to illustrate the concepts described.

La littérature ensupply chain management(SCM) a délaissé un type desupply chains : lesconsumer-to-consumer(C2C)supply chains, qui relient les consommateurs lorsqu’ils échangent des produits. Reposant sur une approche conceptuelle, cet article montre à la communauté logistique et SCM l’intérêt qu’il y a à explorer cessupply chains. L’article dégage quatre spécificités de ces chaînes : 1) leur orientation perpendiculaire auxsupply chainsclassiques, 2) le fort amateurisme de ses acteurs, 3) leur large encastrement social, 4) leur structure plus directe. L’étude des C2Csupply chainsest susceptible d’élargir le spectre du SCM en y intégrant plus fortement le consommateur.

The customer-oriented approach is actively developing within the global trend of the modern industrial revolution that is Industry 4.0. The focus on customer interests has led to cooperation and integration in supply chains, improving their efficiency and increasing transparency, awareness, and trust. However, an issue emerging in this scenario is that conventional supply chain management (SCM) procedures are unable to identify the potential proposal for a particular user. Modern businesses need to build integrated supply chains, which require well-developed infrastructure and easily available complementary services, relying on logistics as a networking technology. Supply chains of this generation grow from traditional individual desynchronized economic relations (linear models with some feedback and the simplest network configurations) to scalable, adaptable, harmonized partner networks. The logistics potential allows additional income by reducing the total costs of participants in the network, thus increasing the competitiveness of companies; this can be implemented based on new models of interaction in the current digital environment through, firstly, system integration. Our goal consists of identifying the essential characteristics of system integration and substantiating the methods for its implementation in the digital economy. The study is based on the analysis of global best practices, considering the reports from leading consulting companies and competent analytical agencies. We have confirmed that the role of a virtual system integrator of supply chains belongs to logistics platforms; the effects of a transition to platform business models are discussed in detail.

This case study has been developed to facilitate discussion about current supply chain management issues and potential solutions. The scenario presented in this case is very representative of the pressures experienced by supply chain managers. Namely, the need to reduce costs while maintaining quality and customer service. This case presents some unusual challenges and constraints that are unique to the cruise line industry. These constraints can provide an opportunity to explore new supply chain paradigms.

Purpose This study aims to present a competitive advantages framework suited for disaster prone regions in the era of climate change, present supply chain cooperation (SCC) as an integral part of GrSCM within the automobile industry and evaluate the competitive advantages framework merits based on SCC as a new implementation tool. Design/methodology/approach In an effort to address limited green supply chain management implementation strategies in disaster prone regions, the paper presents SCC as an economic, social and political implementation tool. To explore this; the study introduces SCC in a three-phase competitive advantages model adopted from the Barney 1995 model (with slight differences). Smart PLS 3.0 software package was adopted to carry out multi-variable data analysis. The study’s assumption is a capital economic system and bases its argument of analysis on stockholder theoretical lenses. Findings Big company size does not significantly affect SCC, suggesting that companies of all size can organize and enhance their network to be cooperative. Companies with cooperative supply chain network tend to have competitive advantages. SCC is also a viable way to manage business risks, be there internal or external. Research limitations/implications One of the study’s limitation is the stockholder theory it adopts, which shoulders its assumptions on a capital economic model of operation. Indeed, the study covered China, which is seen to be a communist-based economy. Another study’s limitation is that it narrows its data collection to disaster prone areas as documented by Guha-Sapir et al. (2012). Consequently, the findings of this study might be only applicable to areas that experience significant level of disruptions usually caused by disaster incidents. Originality/value The study is also the first of its kind to propose a model for automobile manufacturing in disaster prone regions. This is done by introducing SCC as an economic, social and political factor, while risk ranking is introduced as an environmental factor to constitute the external changes that Barney 1995 introduced.

In this paper we take a closer look at developments in supply management. The main change in this discipline seems to be (2011) that cooperation and risk management are taking over the classical silo based way of looking at business. Companies start to learn that transactions block the profits throughout the chain. Or, to put it the other way around, supply chain parties learn that sharing interests is earning much more money and that supply chains become ‘faster, cheaper and better’.

The territorial approach is the basic approach to a region management. At the same time, the “territory” component is the basis of the logistics complex used in Supply Chain Management. In this regard, a need is to clarify and supplement the theory and methodology of the territorial approach to the management of both the region and the supply chains.The subject of this study is the relationship between the regional authorities and the focus enterprise of the supply chain regarding the development of the territories and resources of the region on a mutually beneficial basis.The research methods are methods of analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction, as well as classification, and the tools are binary matrices that provide for the joint use of two classification attributes of the object under study and their dichotomies.The results of this study are the management principles by the competitiveness and sustainability of the management object; classifications of approaches to the management by the region and supply chains; of territories from the point of view of the focus enterprise of the supply chain and the region; the management decisions in the interaction of regions with the links of supply chains; the sequence of the formation of supply chains and the development of territories and resources of the region on the basis of the territorial approach and the relationship between them.The obtained results allow to reduce the costs and time for the development of territories and resources of the region by reducing the lost profits of the supply chain links due to their rational placement and increasing sustainability by achieving a synergistic effect both by the region and by the supply chains.
