В статье рассмотрено современное состояние энергоснабжения и перспективы развития альтернативных источников энергии на территории Крайнего Севера. Отмечено, что несмотря на острую потребность во внедрении возобновляемых источников энергии, установленные мощности всех ветряных и солнечных электростанций в регионе не превышают 7-8 МВт. Также в работе рассчитаны технический и экономический потенциал ветровой энергии региона, на основании которых подобрана наиболее эффективная установка. The article discusses the current state of energy supply and the prospects for the development of alternative energy sources in the Far North. It is noted that despite the urgent need for the introduction of renewable energy sources, the installed capacities of all wind and solar power plants in the region do not exceed 7-8 MW. Also, the technical and economic potential of the region’s wind energy was calculated based on which the most efficient installation was selected.

Energy security and independence is one of the key points in sustainable development. In modern conditions of rapid growth and development of technologies, more and more attention is paid to finding practical solutions for environmentally friendly and inexpensive energy production. For a long time, scientists from various fields of scientific activity around the world have been engaged in the development and use of alternative energy sources. The share of renewable energy sources in the generation of electricity around the world is growing steadily, which indicates an increase in the use of energy obtained from alternative sources, such as, for example, wind and sun. These trends testify to the desire of consumers to abandon the use of fossil energy sources and nuclear power plants as much as possible in order to ensure further sister development. Under the current conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic, the demand for electricity worldwide has decreased, however, as the study shows, this pandemic has not affected the development of renewable energy. The article analyzes modern trends in the development of renewable energy, taking into account the experience of the EU countries and leading countries of the world in this area. As a result, it was concluded that in modern conditions, to achieve sustainable development, transformation processes are needed in such an important area as energy. Various processes in the global economy, which contributed to the intensive development of alternative energy sources, served as a powerful impetus for such changes. Many countries have made significant progress in the development of renewable energy.

The use of alternative energy sources, in particular solar energy, has gained rapid growth in recent years. This trend is prompting manufacturers of equipment for solar power plants to increase production volumes. At the same time, the question arises of the disposal of used modules, because each material has its service life. According to technical specifications, the average life of solar modules and batteries is 25-30 years. Decommissioning may occur earlier than this time due to the following reasons – moral and physical deterioration, mechanical damage, replacement of obsolete equipment with new, modernization of solar power plants. Already in 2030, it will be necessary to replace the solar modules installed in 2000. Therefore, there are acute questions not only regarding the development of technologies for processing waste equipment from solar power plants but also organizational and economic methods. This article discusses the main problems that arise during the utilization and recycling of solar modules, analyzes the experience of countries in resolving these issues. After all, the use of renewable energy sources should minimize the negative impact on the environment from energy production at all stages – from the production of equipment for a power plant to the disposal and recycling of this equipment. Pollution and far-away location of generation are the main disadvantages regarding bulk power generation from conventional power plants like gas plants, thermal and nuclear power plants. These constraints give scope to look for alternative energy sources reducing pollution and distance of location. Distributed generation (DG) is a viable option to generate power at distribution level without pollution and further reducing transmission line losses due to distance. Sending power from renewable energy sources needs an inverter to be integrated with grid. Inverter also performs the task of harmonic filtering in source components acting as active power filter. This paper presents integration of distributed generation from PV array to grid via an inverter controlled with DG controlled PQ theory. When power is fed from distributed generation, the source power from main grid to load will decrease and this variation is shown in results. MATLAB/Simulink software was used to develop the proposed model and the results are discussed for different cases. Results are presented for two cases where the source current is affected by the load without APF and variable active power to grid with the integration of DG along with APF.

The article is devoted to the current state and analysis of factors affecting the use of alternative energy sources on a global scale. There is a constant growth in volumes energy consumption, which is associated with the stability of the global economy, increasing costs for heating and cooling in various parts of the world. At the same time in the most densely populated areas (China, India), coal accounts for up to 80 % of the energy balance, which leads to an increase in CO2 emissions. In this regard, the article notes the need to switch to the use of alternative energy sources (wind, solar, hydro, geothermal and biomass, nuclear energy). The article analysis the current state of energy sources in developed countries according to statistics for 2018. The authors concludes that the growth rate of renewable energy resources is insufficient, despite their advantage over traditional sources. In this regard, the factors affecting the efficiency of renewable energy sources were summarized. In addition, the article identifies barriers that prevent the acceleration of the rate of replacing traditional energy sources with RES. At the same time, state support measures and relevant legislative acts play a special role in stimulating and attracting the necessary investments.

The current state of the development of bioenergy in Ukraine is presented. Prospects for the production of heat from biomass by sectors of consumption until 2050 are estimated. The most important barriers to the development of the sector are analyzed, ways for their complete or partial overcoming are suggested. The current state of the development of bioenergy in Ukraine is presented. It is shown that according to Ukraine’s energy balance for 2010-2016, the average annual growth of bioenergy is 45 % by the «production of biofuel and wastes» and 35 % by the «total primary energy supply from biofuels and wastes». Despite quite good dynamics of the development, to reach key figures of the National Renewable Energy Action Plan until 2020 it is necessary to speed up bioenergy growth. Prospects for the production of heat from biomass by sectors of consumption until 2050 are estimated. The obtained results show that the share of renewables in the total heat production may be over 57 % in 2050. At that the consumption of renewable energy sources will be about 13.8 Mtoe/yr (of which biomass accounts for over 90 %), and the respective replacement of natural gas will come to about 17 billion m3/yr. The most important barriers to the development of bioenergy sector are analyzed, and ways for their complete or partial overcoming are suggested. Ukraine has quite good legal basis for the development of renewable energy. In particular, it includes the feed-in tariff for power produced from alternative energy sources and stimulating tariff for heat produced from alternative energy sources for households and public buildings. For the wider involvement of biomass in the fuel and energy balance of Ukraine it is necessary to provide legal basis and implementation of a number of important measures.Among others, they include creating preconditions for increasing harvesting of wood in Ukraine’s forests, introduction of the electronic biofuel trade system, ensuring fair access of independentproducersofbiomassheattoheatnetworksandother.

The article is devoted to the study of the development of «green» energy in Ukraine. Extraction of non-renewable resources reduces our reserves, and using in the process of production and consumption leads to global warming. Further development of «green» energy will reduce the problems associated with environmental pollution and ensure consumer demand for clean energy at low prices. The article analyzes in details the current state of «green» energy of the country, considers promising opportunities for investment in the industry by Ukrainian and foreign entrepreneurs, which will create and implement new technologies in production, modernize obsolete enterprises. The main problems of using alternative energy sources are highlighted, the prospects for the development of «green» energy are determined, the possibilities and expediency of the transition to ecological types of energy are considered, taking into account the features of the country's economy. The article considers and analyzes the energy balance of the state, which is significantly dominated by the use of nuclear fuel, coal and gas. The use of modern and advanced technologies in the use of renewable energy sources will increase the share of clean energy in the energy balance of the country. The chronology of development of solar power plants in Ukraine is considered. It is noted that due to scientific and technological progress, reduction of prices for solar power plant equipment, «green» tariff capacity of generating alternative energy facilities will continue to grow. The volumes of energy production, which is produced with the help of renewable sources, are analyzed, the number of enterprises that receive income from the sale of electricity at the «green» tariff is considered. A comparative analysis of the size of the «green» tariff in Ukraine and European countries, the prospects for solving existing problems, proposed measures to fully disclose the potential use of alternative energy sources. The positive aspects of the use of alternative energy are analyzed; the role of the country in the process of implementing an effective energy strategy, creating an electricity market and the country's transition to a carbon-neutral economy is analyzed.

The article considers promising areas of green tourism development in Vinnytsia region. Describes a number of extremely unique and interesting objects that are little known to tourists. These include the «Illinets astroblem» ˗ craters at the site of a meteorite fall 400 million years ago. The crater is located between the villages of Ivanky, Lypovets district and Luhovo, Illinets district. They arose as a result of the fall to Earth of a cosmic body with an approximate weight of 40 million tons. The diameter of the meteorite is about 230 - 300 m. At the time of the fall, the meteorite was divided into 3 parts. As a result, 13 craters appeared. The largest of them have diameters of 7-10 km. According to experts, the initial depth of the largest crater was about 800 m. The local places are witnesses of a unique phenomenon of planetary scale and are interesting for the tourist business. There are no analogues to Ilyinets Crater in the world. The problems of exhaustion of traditional energy sources are analyzed, and in this connection the inevitable increase in their price. The necessity of wide introduction of alternative energy in the field of green rural tourism is proved. The use of autonomous, network and hybrid solar semiconductor power plants is. promising. Grid-connected solar power plants as an object of solar energy can be used both to generate electricity for household consumption and for the purpose of further sale to the national grid at a green tariff. It is shown that the introduction of solar energy by tourism businesses significantly increases their profits and competitiveness, reduces electricity costs, significantly improves the quality of services, increases the level of tourist service in rural areas. The need for state support and investment for the development of renewable energy sources in rural areas and green rural tourism is substantiated.

The article considers the legal basis for the formation and development of the country's energy sector, in particular, the issue of energy production from renewable sources, among which the leading place belongs to wind energy. The tendencies of the world energy market, which minimize the negative impact on the environment, as well as the tendencies of development of this branch in Ukraine are investigated. It was stated that for our country wind energy is one of the strategic directions of development of the sector of alternative energy sources, given the high dependence of the country on imported energy, primarily natural gas, and significant potential for wind power, taking into account the location, climate and terrain. However, unfortunately, the pace of development of wind energy in Ukraine still lags significantly behind European ones. It is noted that the legislative provision of the use of wind energy in Ukraine as a source of alternative energy is characterized primarily by the number of bylaws, general declarative legislation, as well as some inconsistencies in legal regulation. An analysis of current legislation and a number of regulations governing the development of the industry in general and wind energy in particular. A review of the norms that relate purely to the issues of the research area and their features and direction of legal regulation. In addition, it was stressed that Ukraine's accession to European initiatives, as well as borrowing international experience in this area should positively affect the energy balance and ensure the development of the sector, in particular, in the light of the need to create a full competitive environment in Ukraine's energy market; changes in heat generation by renewable energy sources and the full transformation of coal regions, which means the gradual closure of unprofitable enterprises with the parallel creation of alternative jobs in these regions.

The article examines topical problems of the role of international organizations in the direction of the development of alternative energy and strengthening of energy security in the world. Considerable attention is paid to the importance of the introduction and development of alternative energy in the context of ensuring environmental human rights and economic well-being. Analyzed the main international legal treaties regulating the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions into the atmosphere and the use of alternative renewable energy sources. The main international governmental and non-governmental organizations in the direction of ensuring environmental and energy security have been identified. Attention is drawn to the need to strengthen the role of these organizations by strengthening the functions of supervision and monitoring to increase the possibility of influencing states that do not comply with the provisions of signed and ratified international conventions. It is concluded that it is necessary to adjust the vector of development of instruments for the protection of environmental rights in the direction of its world globalization. The existing global concept for the development of alternative energy sources requires changes. Given that the environmental problem is universal and, although to one degree or another, it still affects every person, regardless of country or nationality, the obligation to protect the environment must be universal, fulfilled and enforced not only by the government bodies of sovereign states, but also international government organizations. It is noted that the programs and recommendations of international organizations are developed directly for individual states, taking into account their geographical and economic location when choosing the types and methods of developing alternative energy.

The article is devoted to the issues of the functioning and development of energy in each country, caused mainly by the economic expediency of renewable energy and the requirements of energy independence. Also, the article examines the importance of replacing traditional fuels with alternative energy sources. The international experience of the countries in the field of efficient use of available natural resources of the fuel and energy complex and enhancement of the potential of the energy sector have been analyzed. A number of common characteristics and directions of energy efficiency improvement for European countries are highlighted. Alternative types of energy and measures necessary for their implementation have been offered. The potential resources of renewable energy sources have been analyzed. The article is devoted to the use of economical and ecological type of fuel - biofuel for Ukraine. On the basis of the analysis of the situation on the energy market, renewable energy is examine, which plays a compensatory role in global energy consumption in the conditions of growing exhaustion of non-renewable sources.
