The problem of finding the optimal power spectrum of nuclear reactors for the projecting power system for the whole country is presented. It considers a large contribution of NPP and formalized in the form of a multicriteria optimization problem. Potential damage reduction from various risk factors and construction costs at maximum power generation is estimated. The genetic algorithm is proposed as solver algorithm. Recommendations are given for optimizing the power range of reactor plants on the basis of the performed calculations and reduce the overall risks of NPP operation during strategic planning.

A numerical method for the identification of parameters of nonlinear higher order differential equations is presented, which is based on the Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm. The estimation of the parameters can be performed by using several reference data sets simultaneously. This leads to a multicriteria optimization problem, which will be treated by using the Pareto optimality concept. In this paper, the emphasis is put on the presentation of the calibration method. As an example identification of the parameters of a nonlinear hydrological transport model for urban runoff is included, but the method can be applied to other problems as well.

This paper proposes an external archive-based constrained state transition algorithm (EA-CSTA) with a preference trade-off strategy for solving the power dispatch optimization problem in the electrochemical process of zinc (EPZ). The optimal power dispatch problem aims to obtain the optimal current density schedule to minimize the cost of power consumption with some rigorous technology and production constraints. The current density of each production equipment in different power stages is restricted by technology and production requirements. In addition, electricity price and current density are considered comprehensively to influence the cost of power consumption. In the process of optimization, technology and production restrictions are difficult to be satisfied, which are modeled as nonconvex equality constraints in the power dispatch optimization problem. Moreover, multiple production equipment and different power supply stages increase the amount of decision variables. In order to solve this problem, an external archive-based constrained state transition algorithm (EA-CSTA) is proposed. The external archive strategy is adopted for maintaining the diversity of solutions to increase the probability of finding the optima of power dispatch optimization problem. Moreover, a preference trade-off strategy is designed to improve the global search performance of EA-CSTA, and the translation transformation in state transition algorithm is modified to improve the local search ability of EA-CSTA. Finally, the experimental results indicate that the proposed method is more efficient compared with other approaches in previous papers for the optimal power dispatch. Furthermore, the proposed method significantly reduces the cost of power consumption, which not only guides the production process of zinc electrolysis but also alleviates the pressure of the power grid load.

Game theory encompasses not only the familiar concept of scalar optimization, but the less known concepts of multicriteria optimization and multiple optimizers as well. This paper examines the role of game theory in the engineering design process. This is done by demonstrating how game theory as a design tool applies beyond scalar optimization to the multicriteria optimization problem. The multicriteria optimization task is examined not only from the perspective of a single designer but from the perspective of team design as well. In the latter case the design problem has been assigned to several designers each responsible for one aspect of the total design.

The article studies the processes of structure formation of baked dough pieces using wheat and hop starters and changes in the properties of finished products and semi-finished products depending on the baking methods. A whole complex of physical, chemical and biochemical processes takes place in the dough piece during baking under the influence of heat and moisture, which causes considerable changes in the bread dough. These processes cause changes in the baked dough piece, that cause turning the dough into bread. Duration and intensity of the processes occurring on the surface and in the inner layers of the dough piece during baking depend on the temperature. Therefore, creation of optimal modes of heating the baked dough piece at various stages allows you to get products of the required quality. To simulate the processes of crumb formation, changes in temperature inside the dough piece of baking, and specific volume over time with different methods of dough and baking, regression models were used, that take into account the influence of qualitative factors. Each qualitative factor having two grades was replaced by one binary variable. The solution of a multicriteria optimization problem showed that the studied indicators reach the optimal values when baking in an air-o-steam and preparing a dough using hop starter.
