A Mobile Ad-hoc network (MANET) is a network which forms a kind of self organized network without any pre-established infrastructure over radio links. Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANETs) are more effective in node –to- node communication. In current era of technology where most of the things are based on networks, MANETs are more suitable for wireless communication and data transfer medium due to the advent of 3G, 4G & 5G technologies. The primary objective of such an ad-hoc network routing protocol is to create appropriate and efficient route between a pair of nodes so that messages can be transmitted in a timely fashion. The dynamic design of this network makes routing protocols a prominent part in creating efficient routes between pairs of nodes The design of routes should be achieved with minimal overhead and bandwidth usage In last two decades many multicast routing protocols are designed and implemented. This paper focuses on some of the MANETs protocols and their characteristics along with their advantages and disadvantages.

Mobile ad hoc network is a collection of wireless nodes that dynamically organize themselves to form a network without the need for any fixed infrastructure or centralized administration. The network topology dynamically changes frequently in an unpredictable manner since nodes are free to move. Support for multicasting is essential in such environment as it is considered to be an efficient way to deliver information from source nodes to many client nodes. On-Demand Multicast Routing Protocol is a protocol for routing multicast and unicast traffic throughout adhoc wireless mesh networks. ODMRP creates routes on demand so they suffer from a route acquisition delay, although it helps reduce network traffic in general. In future this  results will be compared with AODV and FSR protocol and ODMRP performs better as compared with AODV and FSR protocol.

Mobile Ad hoc network is a temporary network. It helps to communicate two or more devices for short range. Routing Protocols are use to establish a communication in MANET. As it is a open network , it has many vulnerabilities from security point. Black hole Attack is one of the major concern in MANET. In this paper, we have implemented Black hole Attack in random mobility environment and analyse its impact on MANET using various parameters for single and multiple connection in MANET. Black hole attack disturbs one of the connection in the network while remaining connection are unaffected. During our analysis, we found that performance result of black hole attack in multiple connection network give a similar kind of output mentioned in various research paper related to gray hole attack, which will make difficult to analysis the type of attack in the network.
