Urban parks play a distinctive and important role in satisfying residents’ demands on leisure and recreation, and thus have become the focus of research in the field of urban planning and sustainable development. This paper used equity as indicator to combine both the supply and demand sides of urban park service. Taking Xiamen as the study case, the relationship between spatial distribution of population and park services was analyzed. The results show that while population density has a significant spatial relationship with urban park service level at the city scale, Xiamen has the problem of neglecting the equity of urban park service between people and regions within the city. The proposed approach builds up the linkage between urban park service and urban population in order to evaluate the performance of urban park. Although the mechanism remains to be discussed, this study provides a useful auxiliary tool for constructing a guideline for urban green space planning, since urban park is increasingly seen as a kind of restricted public resource and ensuring its equity should be an important task for city mangers.

ABSTRACT In recent years the visitation of Conservation Units for recreational purposes has become quite popular, something that can be noticed in Parque Estadual do Cocó (PEC). It is an urban park, located especially in the eastern part of the city of Fortaleza in the state of Ceará. Although designed to protect its natural resources and biodiversity, low impact recreational activities are possible. However, it is necessary to know if these activities are compatible with the resilience of the environment, as adverse impacts may occur due to site carrying capacity thresholds. From this observation, the present study intends to trace its visitor profile, identify the main recreational activities and evaluate the satisfaction levels with the social (leisure and recreation) and environmental (environmental quality) functions of the park. For this, a bibliographic research was made and 3 field visits were made and a form was applied with the park visitors. Results indicate that most visitors are young, aged 20-24 years. Keywords: Conservation Unit; Parque do Cocó; recreation; public use. RESUMENEn los últimos años, la visita de Unidades de Conservación con fines recreativos se ha vuelto bastante popular, algo que se puede notar en el Parque Estadual do Cocó (PEC). As population ages, ensuring that the elderly get their due rights has become a common concern of scholars in many fields. However, as an important public service facility in daily life of elderly, the research on the equity of urban parks is mostly based on the evaluation of accessibility. The equity of the elderly's access to urban parks services has been rarely discussed from the perspective of supply and demand balance. In the context of the concept of spatial equity, we used urban parks in the main city of Harbin as a case study, the actual travel mode of the elderly was considered in the evaluation, adopted an Integrated Spatial Equity Evaluation (ISEE) framework, quantitative evaluation of the equity of different levels of urban park under multiple traffic modes. In this study, the results showed that under the three modes of travel, the degree of spatial equity was higher for non-motorized trips than for the other two modes. In terms of urban parks hierarchy, the spatial equity of urban parks at district level were much higher than those at the neighborhood level and street level. The inequity between supply and demand for urban park for elderly people was significant and varies between administrative districts. The empirical evidence in this research may provide references and suggestions for urban parks planning and decision-making. In cities where the scale of land use is basically stable, such as Harbin, we can start from the spatial configuration of park green space system and public transportation system to improve the efficiency of urban parks provision. Thereby promoting the construction and development of an “old age-friendly” society.

The increasing popularity of street redesigns highlights the intense competition for street space between their different users. More and more cities around the world mention in their planning documents their intention to rebalance streets in favor of active transportation, transit, and green infrastructure. However, few efforts have managed to formalize quantifiable measurements of the balance between the different users and usages of the street. This paper proposes a method to assess the balance between the three fundamental dimensions of the street—the link, the place, and the environment—as well as a method to assess the adequation between supply and demand for the link dimension at the corridor level. A series of open and government georeferenced datasets were integrated to determine the detailed allocation of street space for 11 boroughs of the city of Montréal, Canada. Travel survey data from the 2013 Origine-Destination survey was used to model different demand profiles on these streets. The three dimensions of the street were found to be most unbalanced in the central boroughs of the city, which are also the most dense and touristic neighborhoods. A discrepancy between supply and demand for transit users and cyclists was also observed across the study area. This highlights the potential of using a distributive justice framework to approach the question of the fair distribution of street space in an urban context.

The subject of research in this paper is the planning of urban mobility development in the narrow part of Sarajevo using a model based on the growth matrix. The hypothesis of this research is: Based on the analysis of supply and demand of the city traffic system, good practices in sustainable urban mobility and existing strategies and development plans, a model for managing the whole planning process of sustainable urban mobility of the city traffic system in Sarajevo by 2026 can be proposed. In accordance with the experience of Europe’s main urban mobility observatory (Eltis) and sustainable urban mobility plans (SUMPs), the key elements are defined. The next step, after defining the elements of urban mobility, is to carry out the quantification of elements for 2016. Thereafter, there is a concise explanation of the growth matrix and model of managing the urban mobility planning process is created. In the research results, direct and indirect growth rates were elaborated and analyzed, i.e. the individual and synergic effects of the model. Finally, the synthesis of the research results was presented.

Service level in the call center is calculated based on the number of calls answered during the certain time intervals compared to the total number of calls received. The measurement of service level on the call center operator starts when the caller presses the menu to talk to the  operator on interactive voice response (IVR) menu, and is expressed as a percentage. The higher expected percentage of service level will be higher the needs of operator in the services.  Regulation in Indonesia determines service level for the call center of Basic Telephony Services is in the amount of more than or equal to 90% in 30 seconds. The author uses a business approach to the operational of the call center to analyze existing statutory data. Through the comparative method between operator occupancy and the costs required for the operation of call center using supply and demand curve, the optimum service level value at the call center of Basic Telephony Services can be known, which is 85% in 25 seconds. This means that 85% of incoming calls must be answered by the operator with a maximum waiting time of 25 seconds.

The customer has become a source of strategic information about the quality of products and services. For this reason, the objective of this research was to analyze the level of service and mental processes of clients in making decisions to consume milk in the province of Chimborazo. Non-probabilistic sampling was used and data were collected from 50 clients and 75 representatives of small- and medium-sized companies in the city of Riobamba which participated in the Production Exhibition, Macají, Riobamba 2019. An electroencephalogram was used to determine whether the purchasing decisions were made at the unconscious level by reading brain waves. Three brands of milk that are sold locally were used. The study revealed that there were representative differences in stimulating people to different perceptions (visual, olfactory, gustatory) that influence the appreciation and purchasing decisions of milk. Similarly, it was found that there are decisions that the consumer makes unconsciously based on memories and past experiences that influence their present behavior at the time of consumption. The study also revealed the need to improve the level of service. Keywords: neuromarketing, perception, strategies, service level.
