Purpose: This research aims to examine the association between perceived ethics and SMEs performance; also determine the mediation effect of organizational culture on the relationship.Design/methodology/approach: Based on the literature review, this research developed a conceptual model of Perceived ethics, organizational culture and performance. This research applied purposive sampling to gather data from owners/managers of SMEs in Kano State North-West of Nigeria. Apart from assessing the reliability and validity of the constructs through confirmatory factor analysis, this research also used Partial Least Square Techniques (PLS) of analysis approach to test the proposed hypothesis.Findings: Statistical result reveals that the relationship between perceived ethics and SMEs performance was found to be significant at p.value less than 0.001. Similarly as postulated the organizational culture mediates the relationships with significant value.Research limitations/implications: The sample for this study is based on SMEs and cross sectional in nature, In addition, the present study employed quantitative techniques future study can employed qualitative or case study method for design and analysis of information.Practical implications: The finding of this study can assist practitioners and policy makers in SMEs to support the idea of social responsibility in designing strategic plan for superior performance. As whole, the outcome of this research will assist managers for better understanding of the business social responsibility antecedents under the perspective SMEs.Originality/value: This paper has tried to provide a comprehensive understanding about business social responsibility antecedents under the perspective SMEs context in Nigeria. Since there was a lack of such research in SMEs context, this research can provide theoretical contribution and managerial basis for future researches as well as implications for the managers.

Abstract Background: Functional degradation among community-dwelling patients with schizophrenia can negatively influence their recovery. Given the importance of patient empowerment during recovery, the current study aimed to examine the mediating effects of patient empowerment on the relationship between global function and recovery among such patients.Methods: This cross-sectional study recruited community-dwelling patients with schizophrenia from northern and central Taiwan. Questionnaires with verified reliability and validity were provided and collected on site by trained nurses. The causal steps approach proposed by Baron and Kenny and the Sobel test were utilized to verify the mediation effect.Results: A total of 373 participants completed the survey. After controlling for factors associated with recovery, empowerment was determined to exert “full mediation” over the effects of global function on patient recovery, with the mediation effect reaching 85.9% and the Sobel test indicating significant mediation.Conclusions: Although improving the global function of community-dwelling patients with schizophrenia could likely encourage recovery, the present study suggested that offering empowerment-oriented care services may be more effective than global function improvement on recovery among these patients.

Purpose- Organizations that enforce effective supervisory support through their cultural traits see their employees reciprocating through positive outcomes. The study explored the impact of supervisory support on employee engagement in Ghana’s telecommunications sector and the moderating effect of supportive organizational culture on the relationship. Design/Methodology- A correlational descriptive research design was adopted. A sample of three hundred and fifty-three (353) employees was drawn randomly from a top selected telecommunication company in the Accra Metropolis of Ghana. Information collated were analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS version 26) and partial least square based on Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) Findings- The findings indicate that supervisory support significantly influences employee engagement. Again it was revealed that supportive organizational culture influences employee engagement and substantially moderates the relationship between supervisory support and employee engagement. Practical Implications- The findings provide valuable suggestions for organizations, managers, and supervisors to emphasize on measures such as a robust feedback system, training of supervisors, and enhancing employees' freedom to operate within the organization, which increases employee engagement and optimizing the organization’s competitive advantage.

A nurse performance greatly determines the quality of health services in a hospital. The purpose of this study was to prove the influence of transformational leadership on nurse performances, both directly and indirectly through organizational culture and work motivation. The research method used was a quantitative approach with cross-sectional design. The number of samples consisted of 86 nurses in a private hospital. Data collection used a questionnaire. Data analysis techniques used Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Research results shew that transformational leadership had a positive and significant effect on nurse performance both directly and indirectly through organizational culture and work motivation). The study results have shown that Transformational Leadership is effect on Organizational Culture. Transformational Leadership is effect on Work Motivation. Transformational Leadership, Organizational Culture, and Work Motivation are effect on Nurses Performance. Organizational culture mediated the effect of the transformational leadership on performance.

The purpose of the organization is to obtain maximum results and also pay attention to performance in the process of these objectives. The description of the research aims to explore the relationship between leadership and organizational culture on job satisfaction and employee performance. The independent variables of this research are leadership and organizational culture. Meanwhile, job satisfaction and performance are included in the dependent variable. This research was conducted at the Department of Transportation (Samarinda City) consisting of 83 respondents. Research is descriptive and quantitative. Data collection by questionnaire by testing the leadership and organizational culture on performance and moderated by the variable job satisfaction. Data analysis uses the Partial Least Square (PLS) technique. Empirical findings indicate that leadership and organizational culture have a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction. Leadership and organizational culture have a positive and significant impact on performance. On one hand, the results of the study also showed that job satisfaction had a negative and not significant effect on performance. Researchers who have a focus on the variables in this study, in order to be able to use the criteria for selecting more respondents and more detailed in the future.

The focus of this research is how to improve employee engagement at the PT.X head office by examining the relationship between organizational culture and organizational perceptions of employee engagement with organizational commitment as a mediator. This research uses quantitative approach, which is a study that aims to explain a cause of the occurrence of social phenomena, which the phenomenon will be explained by conducting an objective measurement. Primary data collection through the dissemination of questionnaires to 74 respondents. Data analysis using the partial least square equation model or can be known as SEM-PLS. Based on the results of research that has been found, it can be concluded that organizational culture variable does not give a significant direct positive influence on employee engagement, whereas when viewed on variables perceived organizational support and organizational commitment, these two variables have a significant positive direct affect on employee engagement. If the direct influence relationship between organizational culture and employee engagement does not have a significant influence, but when the variable is mediated by organizational commitment, then the results state that there is a significant positive influence relationship between the two variables.  This shows that the organization's commitment to succeed has a significant role in mediating the relationship between organizational culture and employee engagement.

Abstract - This study aims to describe the influence of leadership style and organizational culture with the mediating variables of job satisfaction on organizational commitment. This study uses a case study method for employees of educational institutions in Purwokerto. Respondents in this study were 74 employees from management level to staff level. PLS (Partial Least Square) analysis using SmartPLS 3.0 is the analysis technique used in this study. The results obtained are first, Leadership Style has no significant effect on Job Satisfaction. Second, Organizational Culture has a significant effect on Job Satisfaction, and Third, Job Satisfaction has a significant effect on Organizational Commitment. Based on the research results prove that Job Satisfaction can only mediate the relationship between Organizational Culture and Organizational Commitment while the relationship between Leadership Style and Organizational Commitment cannot be mediated by Job Satisfaction. The purpose of this study is to assess the factors influencing the adoption of e-banking in a developing country and to explore the moderating effects of trialability on the relationship between behavioural intention and the actual use of e-banking services. The study has employed the convenience and cross-sectional data collection approach in three of the 16 regions in Ghana. Data was collected from 568 respondents through an online survey. The Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) was used to analyse the data. The findings indicate that performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence and facilitating conditions positively and significantly influence the intention to adopt e-banking. The structural path analysis also showed that trialability positively and significantly moderates the relationship between behavioural intention and actual use of e-banking platforms. This research fills the existing gap in the e-banking literature by integrating trialability into the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) model to assess its moderating impact on the relationship between behavioural intention and actual e-banking adoption in a developing country.

Purpose: - The purpose of this research paper is to test the relationship with God and to know the strength among the variables of love - Intimacy, Passion and Commitment, through Triangular Love Scale (TLS). To study the direct and indirect relationship between variables of Love in context with God and to know the mediation effect of Passion between the two variables of love, namely, Intimacy and Commitment. Research Design: - In this study, data was collected through well structured questionnaire from 210 respondents who identified themselves as God-believers. The Partial Least Square (PLS) -Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was used to measure the relationship among the variables and to conceptualize the model. Findings:- In context of the past studies, a conceptual model is developed to measure the direct relationship as well as indirect relationship among the three variables of love, namely, Intimacy, Passion and Commitment in relationship with God. Structural Equation Modeling analyses revealed that the association between Intimacy and Commitment is mediated by Passion. Limitations:- Other tools can also be used to analyse the same study to know relationship between variables of love with God. Different variables which are not explored can be used to test the relationship with God.Practical Implications:- This study makes significant contributions for religious leaders and researchers who associate themselves with spirituality in order to understand the strength of relationship with God by knowing the impact on variables of love-Intimacy, Passion and Commitment.Originality: - The current study aims to know the strength of relationship with God through the three variables of love, namely, Intimacy, Passion and Commitment. There are lots of studies on Triangular Love Scale in knowing the different perspectives. The results of this study will help to know in actuality as to how much the individual is close to God, attracted towards him and able to maintain his love towards him.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to study the impact of ethics and social responsibility on employees’ affective commitment in the context of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Design/methodology/approach This is a quantitative research. The authors employ multistage sampling technique, non-probability and judgmental sampling method. Data were collected through questionnaire survey to measure the respondents’ perceptions of the ethics and social responsibility, as well as internal corporate social responsibility (CSR) practices. The data obtained were analyzed through variance-based structural equation modeling (SEM), i.e., partial least square SEM. Findings The findings reveal that perceived role of ethics and social responsibility (PRESOR) and internal CSR are positively related to employees’ affective commitment. Job satisfaction is found to be mediating the relationship between PRESOR and affective commitment. The result also showed that internal CSR practices mediate the relationship between PRESOR and affective commitment. Research limitations/implications There are few limitations in the present research. First, present research merely investigates the practices of ethics and social responsibility by SMEs and did not perform a comparison with larger organizations. Second, the use of non-probability sampling method is unable to generalize results for the entire population. Future research could address the shortcoming of present research in order to further contribute to the academic and business world. Practical implications The findings provide insights to entrepreneurs and SMEs on the manifestation of ethics and social responsibility in enhancing employees’ affective commitment. In turn, it reduces employees’ turnover intention and enhances SMEs sustainability to strive in the competitive environment. Social implications These findings highlight the positive chain effects of enterprises in discharging their moral obligation as well as their social responsibility. The enterprises are benefited from the good reputation which may act as a magnet to attract talent-employees and also sustaining their enterprises through employees’ retention. Originality/value This research paper contributes to current knowledge by painting a better picture on the importance of ethics and social responsibility and internal CSR from the employees’ perception. As to date, employees’ perception of ethics and social responsibility and internal CSR practices are still under-investigated. Moreover, past research often focuses the impact of ethics and social responsibility in the larger corporation but scant research is conducted in the smaller organization such as SMEs.

Global function, empowerment, and personal recovery were measured using the Global Assessment of Functioning (developed by the American Psychiatric Association), Empowerment Scale, and Questionnaire on the Process of Recovery, respectively. The causal steps approach proposed by Baron and Kenny and the Sobel test were utilized to verify the mediation effect. The causal steps approach tested the four following pathways (regression coefficients): global function on empowerment (Path a), global function and empowerment as predictors of personal recovery (Path b), global function on personal recovery (Path c), and global function and empowerment on personal recovery (Path c’). Results A total of 373 participants completed the survey. After controlling for factors associated with recovery, Paths a (β = .24, p < .001), b (β = .68, p < .001), and c (β = .19, p < .001) were found to be significant; however, Path c’ was not significant (β = .03, p = .452). Empowerment was determined to exert “full mediation” over the effects of global function on personal recovery, and the Sobel test indicating significant mediation (Z = 3.61, p < .001). Conclusions Empowerment fully mediates the association between global function and personal recovery. This study suggested that offering empowerment-oriented care services may be more effective than global function improvement in recovery among these patients.
