<p>This research and development aim at knowing the effectiveness of web-based animation videos application on environmental education of elementary school students in East Jakarta in Indonesia. Web-based animation videos for environmental education produced consisted of climate change, mangrove forest, waste recycling, biodiversity, and ozone depletion animation video pages.  Student environmental education measured was related to satisfying student natural curiosity, enhancing environmental awareness, and strengthening student pro-conservation values.  In the conclusion, it is highlighted that there is a positive effect of web-based animation videos application on student environmental education at elementary school students in Jakarta in Indonesia</p>

This research aimed at designing and improving the web-based integrated peer and self- assessment. WesPASS (web-based peer-assessment system), developed in this research, allows students to assess their own or their peers’ performance and project assignments and to report about the result of these assessments so that they correct their assignments. This study employed design-based research. The participants included 102 fourth grade primary school students and their 4 teachers from 2 state and 2 private primary schools in Ankara, Kecioren (Turkey) who employed the system and were engaged in a questionnaire survey to assess its quality. The findings were analyzed through quantitative data analysis. The findings revealed that the system can be used by elementary school students for peer and self-assessment system. The participants stated that WesPASS is simple and user-friendly, and it accelerates the assessment process by employing information technology and allows to share opinions

The article considers both theoretical issues related to the specifics of the environmental education of younger schoolchildren and the aspects of the teacher’s organization of the relevant work, which involves a combination of lessons and extracurricular activities. The relevance of individual extracurricular work, including the joint activity of an adult and a child, is substantiated.

The actions of the research aimed at making elementary students aware of the importance of raising the concern for the environment, facilitating the construction of knowledge about birds and their biomes through playful environmental education. A total of 18 students, aged between 8 and 9 years, participated in the study. The research included stages that had theoretical and playful activities within the classroom, a semi-structured form with discursive and objective questions was applied at the beginning and end of the activities. As a result, it was seen that the lectures associated with the playful ones contributed to a better learning of the students in the construction of knowledge about the topics studied. Thus, the use of playful activities as a tool within the classroom helps in the construction of knowledge of the elementary school students about the topics seen in the classroom.
