This paper examines empirically the factors affecting the adoption of internet banking in Tunisia using the Theory of Acceptance Model (TAM) and the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB). Security and privacy construct were selected as additional factors because of their potent influence on the use of internet banking system. For this purpose, a Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) is employed to examine the inter-correlations among the seven proposed constructs. A survey involving a total of 284 respondents is conducted and confirmatory factor analysis used to determine the measurement efficacies. This study confirms the appropriateness of TAM, TPB, and the security and privacy construct in predicting intention to use internet banking in a Tunisian banking environment. This research reveals that TAM and TPB could be used to provide a solid theoretical foundation of internet banking in Tunisian acceptance case. The study contributes to the literature of internet banking in Tunisia.

Internet banking is a prominent example of Internet-based applications. Previous research has found that satisfaction, trust, commitment, and loyalty are important factors for Internet banking success. Resistance to adopt Internet banking is often attributed to the role of trust, security, and privacy in e-commerce systems. This study proposes a framework to examine behaviors toward Internet banking services in Indonesia and South Korea. A research model was empirically tested with data captured in a large-scale study. The results show that Indonesians’ use of Internet banking is strongly influenced by perceived security, while Koreans use of Internet banking is strongly influenced by privacy concerns. Trust and user satisfaction have a greater influence on loyalty for Indonesians while commitment has a greater influence on loyalty for Koreans. The study develops related conclusions including a discussion of the research implications.

Recently information technology is one of the vital elements in human daily activity supports. One example of information technology measurement is based on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), which is an information system that shows how users come to accept and use the technology. Usefulness and Ease of Use are the main reasons that would predispose a person to use such technology. The TAM is also applied to the use of Internet Banking, but there are some more factors that will affect the Behavior Intention in using the Internet Banking including Risk and Trust. The aim of this study is to prove the hypothesis of the variables that affect the Behavior Intention. Research variables were measured using a questionnaire that is processed with SPSS software. The results showed that the four variables studied positive influence on Behavior Intention in the use of Internet Banking.

Increasing consumer needs in parallel with technological developments brought different demands with it. One of the activities to meet these developing and changing needs in the banking sector is the development and utilization of web-based applications. The main aim of the chapter is to approach the perceptions of internet banking customers and the factors that affect the adoption of internet banking. To explain the acceptance of internet banking in the study, the extended technology acceptance model, “UTAUT2,” which is called the most comprehensive of the technology acceptance models and the latest developed, has been applied and expanded by adding the perceived risk factor. A structural equation model (SEM) was used to analyze the collected data from the applied questionnaires. The results show that behavioral intention is significantly influenced by performance expectation and price value. However, perceived risk, social impact, effort anticipation, hedonic motivation has not been seen to have a significant effect on behavioral intentions.

Smart City Mobile Apps is currently being developed by property developers in major cities in Indonesia and is used by businesses to market their products through the application. The method used to see how well the implementation of digital marketing in Smart City Mobile Apps is to combine the TAM (Technology Acceptance Model) and UTAUT (Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology) models. Questionnaire data were processed using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method. The results of the study stated that the company's digital marketing strategy through Smart City Mobile Apps is already good where it can be seen from the value of adoption of Smart City Mobile Apps users in utilizing this application which is quite large at 0.764 based on the coefficient of determination. The variable that most influences consumers to use applications in finding trade information in the Smart City is the attitude variable with an influence value of 0.412 and the behavior intention to use with an influence value of 0.726. This shows that the intention behavior of the application and the trust in the benefits of the application can encourage users to use this application for purchasing their daily needs.

Purpose This study aims to explore the factors affecting customers’ attitudes to the adoption of robots in hotels and travel agencies. Design/methodology/approach Structural equation modelling was used to test the extended technology acceptance model based on data collected from 570 customers of hotels and travel agencies. Findings The findings revealed that hotel customers have more positive attitudes to service robots than their peers in travel agencies. Originality/value This research contributes to the literature on robots in tourism and responds to the call to investigate customers’ attitudes to the adoption of robots in developing countries.

A growing phenomenon in the Internet is the rising exploitation of sophisticated security means (e.g. cryptography, digital signatures etc.) toward the development of novel commerce services for providing electronic transactions, collaborating with business partners or serving customers, regardless of geographical and time limitations. This paper discusses, presents and elaborates on the various factors that affect the adaption of Internet banking services in Greece. In particular, it deals with the factors that have been developed within the framework of providing e-banking services over an insecure shared medium like the Internet and affect the Internet Banking customer acceptance. A factor analysis is performed based on the gathered results provided by customer-questionnaires of ALPHA Bank branch in Greece in order to quantify the various parameters that affect the use of an Internet Banking System. The findings of the analysis show that despite the fact that Internet Banking in Greece is steadily increasing its penetration, factors like security, ease of use and perceived usefulness of a system play a major role on the final decision of the customer to adopt an Internet Banking System.
