To foster continuous learning in governance, it is imperative to use technology in such a way that learning and knowledge exchange becomes a normal engagement without external interventions (http://digitalindia.gov.in/newsletter/2016_july/index.php). Web- or computer-based learning is easy, anytime and anywhere. It has in fact become a well-established, diversely applicable practice through a software application, known as learning management system (LMS). The LMS designed for e-governance under Digital India initiative is unique and one of a kind; it takes forward the vision of competency-based learning and is a tool to deliver right knowledge and skills to right personnel. LMS deployed by National e-Governance Division serves as a tool for learning and training the government officials and other stakeholders involved in planning, developing, implementing, monitoring, and sustaining governance in Government of India. This chapter broadly discusses the significant facets of the LMS like its prominent features and framework, key benefits, services rendered, and the outcomes and impact as a consequence of its structured implementation.

Pandemi COVID-19 menuntut sektor pendidikan untuk melakukan berbagai perubahan maupun inovasi dan adaptasi demi pelaksanaan proses pembelajaran tetap berjalan baik. Pandemi COVID-19 mendorong sektor pendidikan terutama perguruan tinggi untuk melakukan perubahan pada model proses pembelajaran dimana proses pembelajaran berpindah dari pembelajaran konvensional atau tatap muka di kelas menjadi pembelajaran online atau daring. Dengan demikian, tenaga pengajar yaitu dosen dan mahasiswa harus siap beradaptasi dan menghadapi terobosan maupun tantangan baru terhadap perubahan sistem dalam  pembelajaran yang diterapkan perguruan tinggi. Learning Management System (LMS) adalah salah satu cara yang digunakan oleh perguruan tinggi untuk mendukung dan mengelola pembelajaran secara online agar proses belajar mengajar tetap berjalan dengan baik selama pandemic COVID-19. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode semi deskriptif   kuantitatif. Dimana tujuan  dalam  penelitian ini adalah untuk  menjelaskan pemanfaatan Learning Management System sebagai media pembelajaran online yang digunakan selama pandemic COVID-19. Aplikasi Learning Management System seperti Google Classroom, Edmodo, Moodle, serta SEVIMA Edlink dan LMS yang dikembangkan oleh perguruan tinggi maupun yang disediakan oleh pemerintah sangat bermanfaat sebagai media pembelajaran online atau daring selama pandemi COVID-19. Dimana dengan aplikasi LMS ini, sistem pembelajaran dan komunikasi tetap berjalan dengan baik dengan memanfaatkan fasilitas yang tersedia dalam aplikasi LMS tersebut.   Kata kunci: komponen; Learning Mangement System, Pembelajaran Online, COVID-19   Abstract: The COVID-19 pandemic requires the education sector to make various changes and innovations and adaptations for the implementation of the learning process to continue. The COVID-19 pandemic encouraged the education sector, especially universities, to make changes to the learning process model where the learning process moves from conventional or face-to-face learning in the classroom to online or online learning. Thus, faculty, lecturers and students must be ready to adapt and face breakthroughs and new challenges to the system changes in learning implemented by universities. Learning Management System (LMS) is one of the ways used by universities to support and manage online learning so that the teaching learning process continues well during the COVID-19 pandemic. The research method used in this study is a semi-descriptive quantitative method. Where the purpose in this study is to explain the utilization of Learning Management System as an online learning medium used during the COVID-19 pandemic. Learning Management System applications such as Google Classroom, Edmodo, Moodle, and SEVIMA Edlink and LMS developed by universities as well as provided by the government are very useful as online or online learning media during the COVID-19 pandemic. The traditional distance education for mathematics has heavily relied on the application of LMS. However, the Standards for Mathematical Practice have provided the requirements to mathematics educators at all levels for the students' development. This chapter presents the introduction of the transformation from LMS to Internet-based research in the mathematical education. This is the viewpoint of the patterns, developments, changes, or phenomena within their respective fields with regards to distance education of mathematics. It also creates a broad, multidisciplinary understanding of online education across educational boundaries and demonstrates the unique future trajectories that online education has within these mathematics.

Coronavirus is a widespread dangerous disease in recent months, originated in China but with a great impact at the global level. As a result, the education process is choked by shut down of college & universities and maintaining social distancing for reducing the outbreak from community transmission. The purpose of this study is to explore the effectiveness of Learning Management System (LMS) in higher education to support teaching and learning in this ‘new normal’ by providing a stand-alone platform for online & distance learning. LMS is a software application for administering, documenting, tracking, reporting, automating, and delivering educational, training, or learning and development programmes; which originated directly from the concept of e-learning. With the detailed conceptual approach of LMS, the study also associates with the practical implementation of Blackboard LMS in Chandigarh University. Additionally, the study also tastes a comparative analysis between Blackboard, Canvas & Moodle LMS.

[Id] Ujian merupakan salah satu tahapan yang biasa digunakan untuk mengevaluasi kemampuan seseorang dalam melakukan serangkaian kegiatan. Dalam serangkaian kegiatan pembelajaran di Sekolah Tinggi Tarakanita juga perlu suatu tahapan dalam mengukur kemampuan seorang mahasiswa. Tahapan ujian tersebut dilakukan dua kali dalam satu semester, yaitu ujian tengah semester dan ujian akhir semester. Dengan jumlah sekitar 900 mahasiswa, setiap ujian berlangsung maka Sekolah Tinggi Tarakanita harus menyiapkan sekitar 64.800 sampai 108.000 lembar kertas atau sekitar 130 sampai 216 rim kertas ukuran F4 (folio) yang hanya digunakan saat ujian berlangsung. Setelah kegiatan ujian selesai maka lembaran soal ujian tidak digunakan dan akan ditumpuk dalam gudang. Selain mendukung program pemerintah dalam kampanye o Green/em> ternyata soal ujian berbasis Computer Based Test (CBT) juga mampu menghemat biaya sampai 80% untuk setiap kali kegiatan ujian berlangsung. Melalui integrasi Learning Management System (LMS) yang dibangun di Sekolah Tinggi Tarakanita maka soal ujian berbasis Computer Based Test (CBT) ini dapat dilaksanakan dengan baik. Dengan menggunakan metode penelitian eksperimen maka dirancang sebuah aplikasi soal ujian berbasis Computer Based Test (CBT). Sedangkan metode pengembangan aplikasi yang digunakan adalah waterfall model dengan black box testing sebagai metode yang dipilih untuk pengujian aplikasi. Adapun hasil ujicoba aplikasi menunjukkan bahwa soal ujian berbasis Computer Based Test (CBT) dapat dilaksanakan dengan baik melalui dukungan sarana dan prasarana yang sudah tersedia. Bahkan hasil ujian pun dapat langsung diketahui beserta lokasi benar dan salah ada di nomor mana saja. Oleh karena itu, aplikasi ini juga dapat digunakan sebagai latihan dalam persiapan menghadapi ujian. Stages of the exam is done twice in one semester, the midterm exam and the final exam of the semester. Peace-loving-themed short stories have some potential to reconstruct national characters. Such characters are paramount in response to the lack of tolerance during the millennial era. Such short stories can be implemented through various modes, one of them being short-story appreciation. When the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic hit Indonesia, the government suggested shifting schools to online learning. One of the online learning platforms used in Indonesia is the Learning Management System (LMS). The purpose of the current research is to develop via LMS instructional materials for short-stories appreciation using peace-loving-themed short stories that aim at strengthening national characters. This study used the research and development design proposed by Borg and Gall. The instructional materials developed are in the form of e-learning website which consists of formulated tasks of short stories appreciation. The validation test shows that this type of learning material is valid and applicable to be used. The instructional material includes contents focusing on the theme of peace-loving stories. Moreover, the aspects of national characters boosted by this type of material includes tolerance, equality, altruism (caring for others), empathy, and sympathy, which are depicted through the characters in the stories. The forms of tasks are also designed in a way to expose the national characters conveyed in the stories. Keywords: materials, peace-loving short stories, national characters, LMS

Computer Based Test (CBT) menjadi salah satu yang banyak dilirik dalam dunia pendidikan dalam beberapa dekade terakhir karena keuntungan yang dapat diperoleh, soleh karena itu CBT sangat perlu diterapkan terutama dalam bidang evaluasi kepada siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan tes berbasis CBT pada materi pokok usaha dan energi. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan penelitian dan pengembangan. Penelitian ini meliputi 4 tahap, yaitu: (1)define, (2)design, (3)development, (4)disseminate. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan hingga tahap design, dikarenakan keterbatasan waktu dan kemampuan peneliti dalam pelaksanaan penelitian ini. Define yaitu dilakukan analisis kebutuhan siswa. Instrumen soal yang ada pada CBT ini dibuat sesuai dengan kurikulum 2013 revisi. Instrumen soal sebelum diberikan kepada siswa dilakukan validasi oleh pakar dan validiasi ramalan. Design yaitu perancangan CBT. Development, melaksanakan uji coba terbatas dan melakukan revisi. Tahap disseminate, uji coba skala luas dan revisi. Software yang digunakan dalam perancangan CBT ini yaitu learning management system Moodle. CBT dicobakan terlebih dahulu dan divalidasi oleh pakar. Hasil yang didapat pada penelitian ini yaitu diketahuinya proses tahapan pembuatan, penggunaan, dan keefektifan CBT. Kata Kunci: evaluasi hasil belajar, CBT, moodle
