Achieving performance remains the desire of entities, both those present in the competitive market, and new start-ups that break the existing markets, capitalizing on the opportunities offered by an external environment characterized by volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity, but also the present digitalization, internet of things (IoT), 5G internet, and e-platforms. Seen as a reflection of the clear vision of extremely powerful leaders, the overall performance of the entity is attained today against the background of the innovation process. This chapter presents radiography of the new research and deepening directions at the intersection of accounting and management, between science and practice, with the role of potentiating performance as a result of managerial accounting and leadership vision.

Seen as a reflection of the clear vision of some extreme leaders, the overall performance of the entity is achieved today against the backdrop of the innovation process. The value of the company is necessary to become the key element in any entity development strategy. However, it requires a comparative analysis of the entity with other market players or emerging markets. This chapter analyzes the new research directions at the intersection between accounting and management, with the role of potentiating the important valorization of managerial culture and the implementation of an integrated system of performance indicators to accurately determine the value of a company.

Startups, as they are bounded to their liabilities of newness and smallness, need to collaborate extensively with their external partners through the open innovation process. This study aims to depict Co-working space's pivotal role in building up a working innovation ecosystem that facilitates open innovation for startups. To get a more deep understanding of the phenomena, this study used an exploratory study based on three case studies of Co-working spaces operated in the Jakarta region. The study shows that the open innovation process among startups is not naturally existed, but instead, it is purposefully designed by the role of a community manager who acts as the ecosystem catalyst. The community manager becomes the ecosystem enablers that facilitate the networking process by connecting members. As a result, these activities will help the emerging of mutual connection and collaboration processes among members that empower open innovation among startups members. The multiple-case design makes the study conclusions might be difficult to generalize. Future research, including quantitative studies, will help the conclusions examination and the knowledge enrichment of start-ups' open innovation process. This paper will enrich the knowledge concerning how Co-working spaces member seizing opportunities that lead to the open innovation process.

Internet of Things (IoT) has become a significant topic of interest in recent years. Billions of everyday devices will be connected and new forms of interaction grow with this new paradigm. However, the future role of IoT in regarding to inclusion in smart environments is not well defined yet. Further studies are still needed to investigate whether these technologies will be an enabler or whether it will introduce more barriers. In this paper, we conducted a systematic mapping to provide an overview of how accessibility has been considered in the development of IoT systems. The results show that the community has presented Assistive Technology solutions based on IoT resources and a lack of studies addressing accessibility and user studies in IoT projects. Therefore, the findings provide an overview of current research in IoT, as well as give implications for new research opportunities.

In the age of next-generation computer, the role of the cloud, the internet and smart devices will become stronger. These days we all know the word smart well. This word is often used in our daily lives. The Internet of Things (IoT) will generate a variety of information from a variety of resources. It can store big data in the cloud. Fog computing acts as a signal between cloud and IoT. Fog extensions in this framework apply to material under IoT. IoT devices are called Fog nodes, which can be accessed anywhere within the network range. A blockchain is a novel way of recording in a secure sequence. Creating a new framework in the development of Internet of Things is one of the critical problems of wireless communication where solving such a problem can lead to continued growth in the use and popularity of IoT. Proposed research creates a framework for providing a framework for middleware on the internet of smart devices network for the internet of things using blockchains technology. Our great offering connects new research that integrates blockchains into the Internet of Things and provides secure Internet connection for smart devices. Blockchain (BC) Internet of Things (IoT) is a new technology that works with low-level, distributed, public and real-time leaders to maintain transactions between IoT sites. A blockchain is a series of blocks, each block being linked to its previous blocks. All blocks have cryptographic hash code, previous block hash, and its data. Transactions in BC are the basic components used to transfer data between IoT nodes. IoT nodes are a variety of portable but smart devices with embedded sensors, actuators, systems and the ability to communicate with other IoT nodes. The role of BC in IoT is to provide a process for processing secure data records using IoT nodes. BC is a protected technology that can be used publicly and openly. IoT requires this type of technology to allow secure communication between IoT nodes in different environments. Events in BC can be tracked and monitored by anyone who is certified to communicate within IoT.

The globalization of the modern economic system, the scarce nature of the resources used, the depressive and stagnant nature of the current processes, the increasing complexity of the geopolitical situation and the deterioration of the environmental situation, etc. predetermine a serious transformation of the functions of accounting services and the role of accounting in the modern management system. In these conditions, the need to study the impact of environmental factors on the nature of the enterprise activity and the mechanism for the development and adoption of managerial decisions are especially relevant. It is indisputable that the accounting organization system in a crisis situation should be different from its management in a sustainable development environment; this determines the need to improve managerial accounting methodology in conditions of unpredictability and instability of the external environment. An analysis of the specialized literature suggests that there are insufficient studies of many aspects concerning the methodological content of the anti-crisis model of managerial accounting, the construction of its categorical apparatus, and the provision of a managerial accounting model in crisis processes in the economy, etc., which predetermined the choice of the topic of our study.

Open innovation and the use of suppliers and start-ups as external idea sources have become increasingly important in the automotive industry. Since the purchasing function in a company has correspondingly become more strategic, scholars have taken the role of procurement in innovation more intensely into account. This study examines procurement’s role in the innovation process of the automotive industry and investigates which and how open innovation instruments are used in order to benefit from the innovation capability of suppliers and start-ups. The empirical evidence is based on an in-depth case study of the automotive manufacturer AUDI AG. Several arguments are elaborated which justify a key role for procurement in the innovation process (e.g., interface role, economic activities). Furthermore, we identified nine pull and push instruments enabling procurement to contribute to Audi’s innovation performance. Since the instruments are designed to meet different internal requirements (e.g., in relation to a vehicle project or not), interesting insights for scholars and practitioners are provided.
