With the increase in the use of technology in education, it is important to understand why some implementations of one-to-one computing programs have been successful where others have failed. A questionnaire containing measures for the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM: Davis, 1989) was distributed to a high school in the rural Midwest to determine how the students’ perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use ratings of iPads change with experience across their high school careers. A multivariate analysis of variance showed that both ratings for perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use changed with experience.

Financial inclusion refers to the use of financial services such as electronic money. Digital money receives tremendous attention globally, from buyers to sellers, as an alternative form of payment. The passions on this technology enormous and infectious, therefore attracting more followers from large merchant to smaller one including the cooperative. School cooperative serves as a center of economic with a wide range of activities, such as mini market, canteen, to serve the needs of students, teachers, and people in the surrounding area. One of the programs launched by the Central Bank of Indonesia is a financial inclusion to increase the financial literacy of people living in the remote area. In this case, Islamic conventional boarding school cooperative can become influencers in most of the surrounding community to attract people’s interest to adopt the technology. The purpose of this inquiry is to find out factors influencing the adoption of mobile payment and user’s intention and decision to adopt m-payment. Authors proposed an innovative research model based on the theory of technology acceptance model with the innovation characteristics of the diffusion of innovations, perceived security and intention to recommend the technology. The research model has empirically tested at 205 employees Islamic boarding schools across four regions. The independent variables under study include perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, perceived credibility, subjective norms, and trust while the dependent variables are mobile payment adoption and intention to recommend the technology. The study uses structural equation modeling as a tool for analysis. The result indicated that perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, and subjective norms have a significant influence on the adoption of mobile payment. The study also confirmed the relevance of users’ intention to recommend mobile payment technology. Thus, future research needs to include social media campaigns and technology adoption studies. For researchers, the result of this study act as a basis for further refinement of personal technology acceptance model. For practitioners, understanding the key constructs is crucial to design, refine, and implement mobile payment services, applications, and products that achieve high consumer acceptance, value, and high rates of positive recommendations in social networks.

The advent of technology has led to a major change in the delivering of knowledge and lecturers are in the forefront of this. No longer can projectors or black boards solely be used as a means of communication, as the student of the new millennia is an astute user of technology. Lecturers and students are both therefore expected to make use of technology in the transfer of knowledge and academic interaction. Students have a right to expect their lecturers, and the institution that they study at, to incorporate the latest technology in the delivery of their qualifications. The main aim of this study was to determine lecturers perceptions on social media networking systems and their use of it in an academic context. The study also focussed on whether lecturers make use of, and believes in, social media networking systems as an effective tool to use in teaching and in providing study content and material to students. These were tested by making use of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) constructs namely; Perceive ease of use, Perceived usefulness, Attitude towards using, Intention to use, and System accessibility. A survey was distributed to lecturers, and it was found that social media is being used by the majority of lecturers, but more for social purposes than educational purposes. It was also found that Facebook is the most popular social media networking system to use.

1989. Still this model is most popular to predict anyone’s technology intention to use it. So this study used TAM to find out its scope of application in Pakistani context. Secondary level education is a big milestone in any student’s learning career. To know about the use of Technology is considered important literacy skill in twenty first century, so this study aimed to explore the scope of Technology Acceptance Model in teaching practices at Pakistani secondary level institutes. The population of this study was delimited to the secondary level Public school teachers of district Gujranwala (Punjab). According to Punjab School Education Department, 4921 teachers were working in District Gujranwala; 2497male teachers and 2424 female teachers at secondary level. So 500 teachers, 250 male and 250 female were randomly selected as participants of this study. This study was descriptive research. Researcher developed a tool on the constructs of TAM. This tool was consisted of 20 statements on seven point Likert scale. Researcher observed teaching practices of participants in learning environment also. During observations some of their students were interviewed to triangulate the data. Researcher used mixed methods approach to analyze the data. This study proved that Perceived usefulness (PU) plays significant role in developing attitude towards use of technology. Previous experience and technology aversions or harmonies were influencing the perceived ease of use (PEOU) and then behavior intension (BI) to use technology. The findings of this study proved that teachers should be trained and facilitated to integrate technology in teaching learning process so teachers will be able to better perform. Moreover this study contributes to the related literature and provides new dimensions to future researches.

Insight into the reasons why people adopt or reject technology is one of the most challenging issues in information technology research. This chapter draws on the Electronic Commerce Technology Acceptance (ECTA) framework, which is in turn based on Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and examines Jordanian government’s employees’ attitudes towards adoption and use of Electronic Mailing systems within their job. The chapter is aimed at providing an overview of the current state of use, adoption and implementation of electronic mailing innovation within organisations, specifically governmental institutions in developing countries like Jordan. More precisely, the author first quantify constructs relating to the current state of governmental institutions’ beliefs and attitudes toward E-Mailing systems technology in Jordan, and then develop and validate the relationships between the various factors that drive the adoption and acceptance of such innovation. A quantitative survey is used to establish and illustrates employee’s behavioural intention and decision to e-mailing systems. The main influencing issues discussed in this chapter that affect these employees imply perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, employees’ attitudes towards new technologies, and behavioural intentions to use. Whereas, these various issues are suggested in the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), the enhanced Technology Acceptance Model extends them to include the external social factors proposed in this chapter such as trust, cultural beliefs, and sociology of technology. Eventually, the significant insight emanated from the findings identifies ways of assisting and spurring employees to make use of technology more effectively.

The aim of the study was to examine the determining factors of students' video usage and their learning satisfaction relating to the supplementary application of educational videos, accessible in a Moodle environment in a Business Mathematics Course. The research model is based on the extension of Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), in which the core TAM constructs – perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, attitude – and internet self-efficacy were included as the explanatory factors of video usage. As regards the determinants of learning satisfaction, beside the core TAM constructs, the role of learning performance, learner-learner interaction, and learner-teacher interaction was examined. Data were collected from 89 students using a questionnaire, on which the partial least-squares structural equation modelling approach was used to evaluate the research model. The results confirmed that perceived usefulness, attitude, and internet self-efficacy had a direct effect on the video usage. Learning satisfaction was directly influenced by learner-learner interaction, perceived ease of use, and learning performance. Furthermore, the results indicated that video usage had a significant effect both on learning performance and on learning satisfaction. The findings show that the extended TAM model can be applied for predicting the university students' video technology usage and their learning satisfaction regarding the usage.
