Keeping this in the background, the study aims to examine the relationship of HRIS system quality, HRIS information quality, HRIS service quality, and HRIS perceived usefulness in determining HRIS system use and its users' satisfaction. Further, the study also aims to analyze the relationship of HRIS system use and HRIS users' satisfaction in determining HRIS success in Indian organizations. A sample of 116 HR staffs and managers working in IT-enabled service sector from National Capital Region (India) has been taken for step-wise regression analyses. The findings of the study revealed that HRIS service quality and perceived usefulness showed a significant positive relationship with HRIS system use. The results also revealed that HRIS system quality and perceived usefulness showed a significant positive relationship with users' satisfaction. Further, the findings also revealed that HRIS system use and HRIS users' satisfaction has a significant relationship with HRIS success.

The study made an attempt to reveal the role of human resource information system (HRIS) on the operational efficiency (OE) of selected multi-national corporations (MNCs) in Bangladesh. For due purpose, five components of HRIS (Job analysis, e-recruitment & selection, e-compensation & benefit, e-performance appraisal and e-communication) have been selected based on literature as the independent variables while OE has been considered as the dependent one. The study was conducted based on a sample size of 256 top & 308 mid level managers of 11 MNCs operating in Bangladesh. The respondents were selected through convenience sampling technique and the data was collected using a detailed structured survey instrument. The authors utilized Pearson’s correlation coefficient for testing the relationship between the variables; and, linear and multiple regression analysis for testing the validity of assumed hypotheses. After utilizing the specified statistical tools, the results indicated that all the five components of HRIS had positive relationships with operational efficiency while the relationship is strongest for e-recruitment & selection followed by e-communication. The findings of this study are expected to be valuable for HR managers in adopting and understanding the conductive results of HRIS applications at organizations as well as for academicians to study the contribution of HRIS to a further extent.

This paper examines whether social influence (SI), perceived usefulness (PU) and ease of use (EU) play an important role towards encouraging the mandatory use of a human resource information system (HRIS) in Saudi ministries. The review of the existing literature indicates that no previous research has examined the mandatory use of HRIS in the Saudi context. Thus, this study has developed a conceptual model by integrating (SI) with factors from the technology acceptance model (TAM) to investigate factors affecting the use and user satisfaction of HRIS. The structure equation modelling technique was employed to test the proposed conceptual model by utilising a questionnaire-based survey data collected from a total of 195 respondents. The findings from this study suggest that (SI) exerts both a direct and indirect effect for encouraging employees to use HRIS. The findings also suggest that TAM factors (i.e. PU and EU) had a significant effect on both the use of the system and user satisfaction.

Organizations are facing stiff market and other external pulls and pushes, thus HR will become vital source for managing future challenges. HRIS is an information system that makes use of computers to monitor, control, and influence the movement of human beings from the time they indicate their intention to join an organization till the time they separate from it. The purpose of the HRIS is to provide service, in the form of accurate and timely information, to the clients of the system. As there are a variety of potential users of HR information, it may be used for strategic, tactical, and operational decision making (e.g., to plan for needed professionals in a merger), to avoid litigation (e.g., to identify discrimination problems in hiring), to evaluate programmes, policies, or practices (e.g., to evaluate the effectiveness of a training programme), and/or to support daily operations (e.g., to help managers monitor time and attendance of their professionals). However, in order to maximize HRIS success, researchers and practitioners have to know more about its underlying drivers. The study is undertaken looking to the importance of HRIS in the organizations. The paper identifies the factors of HRIS as perceived by professional users. This study is also an attempt to study the impact of designation on identified factors of Human Resource Information System (HRIS). The results of this research will increase researchers comprehension on difference in factors that influence effectiveness of senior and middle-level professionals.
