Managing corporate and foundation relations is a challenging and dynamic responsibility in higher education as well as inside companies. The role of corporate and foundation relations development officers (CFRs) is to orchestrate and navigate a complex resource development portfolio by finding, negotiating, acquiring, and managing inter-organizational relationships with businesses and corporations. CFRs must be intimately familiar with their own institution, organizational priorities, and key leaders to be able to create and leverage touch-points, engagement and volunteer opportunities, and mutually beneficial partnerships.

Corporate and foundation relations development officers (CFRs) play a vital role in philanthropy and resource development within higher education. Specifically, these leaders focus time building relationships with individuals who represent corporations and foundations that are able contribute to the needs and programs of an academic institution (Clevenger, 2014; Hunt, 2012; Sanzone, 2000; Saul, 2011; Walton & Gasman, 2008). CFRs must be intimately familiar with their own institution, organizational priorities, and key leaders to be able to create and orchestrate touch-points, engagement and volunteer opportunities, and mutually beneficial inter-organizational partnerships. CFRs manage a complex intersection of internal constituents' programs and interests while simultaneously trying to meet aggressive signature philanthropic platforms for companies or foundation programmatic initiatives.

<p><em>Human Resource Development is a continuous process. It helps to increase the competencies of people as per the changing requirements in present day world. The development of human resource (teaching Faculty) in higher education department is of utmost importance. The higher education department is responsible for providing skilled and competitive workforce to organizations at global level. Higher education department also contributes towards the economic growth of the country. It can fulfill the workforce need of organizations only when its own workforce is developed and competitive as per present day requirements. In the recent past, the role of learning technologies in the human resource development and higher education sectors has changed, and today technology plays a central role in learning in many courses, subjects, and programs. In several places in the literature, learning technologies have been classified and categorized, resulting in the development of theoretical or conceptual bases upon which an understanding of the nature and role of learning technologies can be built. In many cases these bases are intended to inform the process of decision making regarding the planned use of learning technologies with some degree of confidence in the appropriateness of the result. Two clear levels of decision making regarding the use of learning technologies have been identified in the literature as the strategic and tactical (Bates, 1995).

A majority of the black community of Dullstroom-Emnotweni in the Mpumalanga highveld in the east of South Africa trace their descent back to the southern Ndebele of the so-called ‘Mapoch Gronden’, who lost their land in the 1880s to become farm workers on their own land. A hundred years later, in 1980, descendants of the ‘Mapoggers’ settled in the newly built ‘township’ of Dullstroom, called Sakhelwe, finding jobs on the railways or as domestic workers. Oral interviews with the inhabitants of Sakhelwe – a name eventually abandoned in favour of Dullstroom- Emnotweni – testify to histories of transition from landowner to farmworker to unskilled labourer. The stories also highlight cultural conflicts between people of Ndebele, Pedi and Swazi descent and the influence of decades of subordination on local identities. Research projects conducted in this and the wider area of the eMakhazeni Local Municipality reveal the struggle to maintain religious, gender and youth identities in the face of competing political interests. Service delivery, higher education, space for women and the role of faith-based organisations in particular seem to be sites of contestation. Churches and their role in development and transformation, where they compete with political parties and state institutions, are the special focus of this study. They attempt to remain free from party politics, but are nevertheless co-opted into contra-culturing the lack of service delivery, poor standards of higher education and inadequate space for women, which are outside their traditional role of sustaining an oppressed community.

The article outlines the conceptual framework for adapting Ukrainian higher education to the Standards and Recommendations for Quality Assurance in the European higher education area. The role of the Bologna Declaration in ensuring the quality of higher education in Europe has been explained. The conceptual foundations and the essence of standards and recommendations on quality assurance in the European higher education area have been defined. The Ukrainian realities of the adaptation of higher education of Ukraine to the educational European standards of quality have been characterized.
