We discuss the form of application of renewable sources of energy including solar energy and geothermal energy in the environment of construction, and an integrated project on renewable sources of energy is taken as a case study. We also analyze the feasible plans that utilize multiple renewable sources of energy in the construction. The significance of the energy conservation and reduction is presented as well.

This paper suggests methods of using of alternative sources of energy for SIP-houses building in conditions of Kazakhstan. The model of "Polygon for the use of renewable energy” was developed. This model demonstrates possibilities of transforming wind and solar energy into electric and heating energy.

This paper reviews the current state of the renewable energy use in Serbia. Further on, the paper describes energy potential and gives examples of the use of solar energy, wind energy, hydropower, geothermal energy, biomass and biogas in Serbia. Extensive body of information is given about support systems and measures of incentives for the investment in the construction and sale of electricity from plants using renewable energy sources. In conclusion, achieved results of the use of renewable energy sources in Serbia and the incentives for their use are presented.

Abstract This chapter discusses the greenhouse environment and its energy use. Energy conservation or energy saving is one of the most important methods for reducing CO2 emissions, which is known to be associated with global warming. Although development of renewable energy sources such as solar or wind energy is necessary, we must first pay attention to the fact that enormous amounts of energy are consumed uselessly at present. Energy saving should therefore be one of the first problems to be tackled. It may not only bring reductions in CO2 emission, but also may lead to savings in expenditure on energy. This paper introduces some of the initiatives taking place in Japan aimed at energy conservation.

In recent decades, global events and extreme changes make sustainable development and renewable energy a frequent subject of discussion in numerous global meetings. To analyze the energy matrix of a region in order to optimize it sustainably, is a way to reduce the impacts of these changes. Currently, the world energy matrix is made up of 81.0 % of non-renewable sources (78.4% oil and oil products, natural gas and coal, and 2.6 % uranium) and 19.0 % from renewable sources, (traditional biomass 9.0 %, bio-heat 2.6 %, 3.8% hydropower and 3.6% others renewable energies such as solar, wind, geothermal, biodiesel, ethanol, ocean power, etc.). In this sense, the aim of this work is to establish a sustainable model of energy planning in a region taking into account local characteristics and the efficiency in the power generation for residential systems. Energy demand data was collected from different Brazilian companies. From the data obtained, it was found that the method/model used is very efficient for the case study related to the energy efficiency of housing systems using renewable energy.

The Net Zero Energy Building is generally described as an extremely energy-efficient building in which the residual electricity demand is provided by renewable energy. Solar power is also regarded to be the most readily available and usable form of renewable electricity produced at the building site. In contrast, energy conservation is viewed as an influential national for achieving a building’s net zero energy status. This chapter aims to show the value of the synergy between energy conservation and solar energy transfer to NZEBs at the global and regional levels. To achieve these goals, both energy demand building and the potential supply of solar energy in buildings have been forecasted in various regions, climatic conditions, and types of buildings. Building energy consumption was evaluated based on a bottom-up energy model developed by 3CSEP and data inputs from the Bottom-Up Energy Analysis System (BUENAS) model under two scenarios of differing degrees of energy efficiency intention. The study results indicate that the acquisition of sustainable energy consumption is critical for solar-powered net zero energy buildings in various building styles and environments. The chapter calls for the value of government measures that incorporate energy conservation and renewable energy.
