Study on Parametric Design of Roller Conveyor Based on Top-Down Assembly Modeling Technology

To improve the quality and precision of the conveying equipment, in addition to strictly control the production craft, more important is to improve the design quality and the design efficiency. In this study, Solid Edge ST4 3 d modeling technology will be proposed to be used in synchronous roller conveyor design. A double chain transmission roller conveyor will be designed. In the process of design, synchronous modeling, parallel design, cooperative modeling technique and Top-down Assembly Modeling technology are combined with during the design. Modular design train of thought is used to consider the overall structure of design scheme. Design of roller conveyor will be divided into different design module to consider, the aim is to promote the standardization of product design. The key point in this paper is focused on the parametric design, top-down assembly modeling technology, synchronous modeling technology [1] in roller conveyor design. Meanwhile exploring roller conveyor and other general transportation equipment design process of standardization implementation is another main work. The results show that the application of the technology can reduce design error and design iterative process, thus greatly improve the design efficiency and engineer the design of the product quality.

Corner conveyor is widely applied in all kinds of automatic transmission line, and it is the most important members in the family of conveyors. To improve the product quality and the precision of the corner conveyors, in addition to control strictly the production techniques and monitor its manufacturing process, the most important is to improve the design level and the design efficiency. In this paper, a new type of the side of the V belt drive friction with friction type of new structure will be studied by using Solid Edge ST4 3 d synchronous modeling technology. In the process of design, synchronous modeling, parallel design, modular design technology and top-down assembly modeling technology are combined with in the design of corner conveyor. With modular ideas for design of thought to consider the overall structure of design scheme, design will turn into different parts of conveying design module to consider, and promote the standardization of product design. The key point in this paper is that synchronous modeling technology is used in the three dimensional modeling of corner conveyor, and shows that the technology in different modules and the cooperation between different designers. The results show that the application of the technology can reduce iterative design process and design error, thus the design efficiency of engineer is greatly improved.

Industrial robots are widely applied in all kinds of automatic production line. It is the most important members in the family of robots. To improve the product quality and the precision of the robots, in addition to control strictly the production techniques and monitor its manufacturing process, the most important is to improve the design level and the design efficiency. In this paper, a new type of automatic four degrees of freedom industrial robots will be studied by using Solid Edge ST4 3 d synchronous modeling technology. In the process of design, synchronous modeling, parallel design, cooperative modeling technique and Top-down Assembly Modeling technology are combined with during the design. The whole product modeling design has included module and subsystem, has accomplished chassis module, and turn arm module and grab module design. The key point in this paper is that synchronous modeling technology is used in the three dimensional modeling the design application, and shows that the technology in different modules and the union between different designers. The results show that all the technical application above can improve the design efficiency, reduce design error and design iterative process, thus greatly improve the product quality and production efficiency

Abstract In order to improve the design efficiency and quality of traditional airborne electronic equipment, the structural forms of traditional equipment are summarized. Based on the creation of basic structure modules, the parametric design of series structure modules and access devices is carried out. According to the functional requirements of the equipment, different series of structural modules are selected, combined and installed in the access device to quickly realize the modular design of airborne electronic equipment. A series of structural modules are repeatedly applied on a variety of equipment to improve the design reliability.

With the use of Visual C++ 6.0 programming development tools as the secondary development of Unigraphics NX (UG), dynamic link library DLL plug-ins were created. This paper takes fixed pedestal which is a standard part with assembly level of mold as an example, describing the parametric assembly modeling technology and implementation method of automatic virtual assembly process. The method can improve the design efficiency greatly by changing the related parameters of the parts to regenerate model fast and complete the design as well as assemble of fixed pedestal. It is proved that this method can meet the mould design requirements, and can be expanded and used for parameterized modeling and assembling of other standard parts with assembly level of mold in the practice.

Belt conveyor is widely used in all kinds of automatic production line and bulk material delivery is its important applications. In order to improve the operation accuracy of the belt conveyor, in addition to strictly control the production process, tracking the manufacturing process, the most important thing is to improve the design level and design efficiency. The research used Solid Edge ST4 three-dimensional synchronous modeling technology to complete 3 d model design of belt conveyer, at the same time for the standardization of belt conveyor design research. Standardized design uses synchronous modeling, modular design technology, top-down assembly modeling technology complete standardization process from scheme design to detail design. According to the structure characteristics of belt conveyor, the integral reasonable structure is divided into several modules, modules are related by key parameters. When you modify the parameters related to realize the automatic modification of model of the structure, the standardization of product design is promoted. Research focuses on synchronous modeling technology in three dimensional modeling design and application of a belt conveyor design standardization implementation, validating the fusion of synchronous modeling technology in different design module. Through the module assembly process, within the scope of certain and realize module exchange, so as to realize the belt conveyor series, universal design. To realize the standardization of structure design can reduce repeated design and design errors, thus greatly improve the engineer design efficiency.

This paper proposes a dual-mode modeling technology based on software- Computer Aided X Alliance (CAXA), and verifies the method with a belt conveyor as an example. The purpose of dual-mode modeling technology integrating innovation design pattern and engineering design pattern is to achieve a fusion between open design and accuracy design technology. Dual-mode modeling approach breaks single thought constraint owned by traditional parametric modeling, which has a strict relationship like father and son between part elements. By means of design example, this paper described the help that unique three-dimensional sphere functions only owned by CAXA give the solid modeling. This paper took belt conveyor for an example, introduced dual-mode modeling process and verified this approach. Combined with the help of the idea of modular design, this paper has accomplished assembly design of the driving motor module, roller device module and transmission device module. The results show that the design speed under the condition of dual-mode modeling can improve more than one time compared with the traditional methods, design error is greatly reduced and design efficiency is also greatly advanced.

In view of sofa product’s features such as demand of great types and inefficient design, the paper presents a method of parametric design on the simple sofa based on RhinoScript. With analysis of simple sofa’s modeling characteristics, the model of simple sofa could be presented by different parameters. Then models of different sizes and appearance styles could be created easily and quickly by inputting different parameters. This method improves the design efficiency and avoids industrial designers’ repeat work. The design process of a kind of simple sofa testified the method and a series of sofa proposals were easily generated.

To realize CAM of impeller cast moulds, this paper developed an automatic 3D modeling system of impellers, based on hydraulic models and UG/Open technology. The system has functions of hydraulic model database correction, vane surfaces modeling, vane surfaces check, impeller solid modeling, and so on. It achieves design quality inspection and automatic solid modeling of centrifugal impeller as well as CAD/CAM integration of cast mould, with the design precision effectively improved and the product development cycle greatly shortened.
