The use of construction work performance and service life depends directly on the quality of construction and building construction technology management level. If the building construction unit is unable to ensure the improvement of the quality of construction, it is bound to waste more physical, human and financial resources, and competition in the market is always in a passive position. Quality construction has not reached the demand, the consequences will be self-evident, that is it will shorten the life of the building, slowing the progress of the construction works, construction works explicit and hidden disease prevalence. This paper analyzes the common construction quality problems in the building construction process and related technology management issues, and it proposes some practical improvements.

The increase in Indonesia's development activities increases people's consumption of more quality construction materials and is easy to reach in terms of price. Building materials with good quality can improve the quality of building construction. The increasing need of the community for building materials triggered the development of the brick-making industry. Redbrick is an element of building used in building construction made from clay base material with or without other mixed materials. This research is a type of experimental research. The purpose of this study is to know and analyze the composition of the addition of corn bark ash and ash corn cob appropriately to produce the quality of bricks with high compressive strength, low water absorption, and large density. Additional materials in this study in the form of corn bark ash and ash corn cob. The quality of red bricks is seen from three aspects, namely compressive strength, water absorption, and density. The largest compressive strength was obtained in the addition of ash corn cob by 2.5% by 37.2 Kg/Cm2 and the compressive strength of 49.5 Kg/Cm2 on the addition of corn skin ash by 2.5%. Water absorption measurement of all types of red bricks the results of the study showed all the results of water absorption is not eligible sni. The highest density was obtained from a mixture of 2.5% ash corn cob material of 17.5 gr/Cm3. the best composition to produce bricks with strong compressive value and high density and have low water absorption is 2.5% addition of ash corn cob and the addition of 2.5% corn skin ash. At present we can see how the quality of building production presents many facts for dissatisfaction. The amount of losses is extremely large and the national economy cannot tolerate it. In the EU attempts were made to solve quality problems by organizational means. Consequently, in the 1980s appeared and in 1994 were altered the codes ISO 9000 which are to be used up to 2004. On the other hand, a different tendency may be observed. So-called “lean production” in Japan industry showed that good quality can also be achieved by low prices. It should be mentioned that the above-mentioned experience and knowledge are first of all applied to industry. Hence they cannot be adopted directly in building construction. A control through self-control is an essential part of quality management. Self-control becomes an effective means when tasks and steps are formulated in written form. This process is divided into 10 steps. The application of this system encounters many difficulties. The principal difference between building construction and industry is that in building construction separate, not serial, objects prevail. Every client expresses individual demands for building structures. A successful quality management must embrace all phases. Besides, the common interconnection points of contracting and interested parts are very important, too. Quality management should clearly define the responsibilities at an enterprise. A correctly treated and applied quality management should optimise the inner processes and structures of an undertaking; the employees should be motivated and all the participant of building processes are to be effectively co-ordinated.
