Nowadays, the short of water resource has been a problem. To make the use of water resource more effectively, especially the underground water, we designed the IC card paid water wells Remote Monitoring System. The system consists of 3 parts--water wells terminal control unit, the data transmission network and supervisory and trade center. The process includes hardware design and software design. The core point consists of the IC card reading and writing processes and RS485 multi-device communication using MODBUS protocol. After testing, the basic function is completed, and it will be in the future having broad prospects for development in many fields.

In order to realize supervision of water withdrawal, it is necessary to establish a modern monitoring system. This study focuses on the design of a remote monitoring terminal system that is operating in a south province in China. This terminal system adopts GPRS mode to establish communication with monitoring center. Detailed hardware design is provided, as well as its software functions. This terminal device finishes the basic function of water quantity collection. At the meantime, remote upgrade function and picture collection function are proposed in order to perfect the overall function of the system. Kinds of tests were conducted to verify its performances and functionalities. We conclude that the proposed remote monitoring terminal might become a useful tool for supervision of water withdrawal in the dispersed areas.

To improve the efficiency of the remote monitoring system for logistics transportation, we proposed a remote monitoring system based on wireless sensor network and GPRS communication. The system can collect information from the wireless sensor network and transmit the information to the ZigBee interpreter. The monitoring system mainly includes the following parts: Car terminal, GPRS transmission network and monitoring center. Car terminal mainly consists by the Zigbee microcontroller and peripherals, wireless sensor nodes, RFID reader, GPRS wireless communication module composed of a micro-wireless monitoring network. The information collected by the sensor communicates through the GPRS and the monitoring center on the network coordinator, sends the collected information to the monitoring center, and the monitoring center realizes the information of the logistics vehicle in real time. The system has high applicability, meets the design requirements in the real-time acquisition and information transmission of the information of the logistics transport vehicles and goods, and realizes the function of remote monitoring.
