Based on the research on development situation of college English teaching in computer network environment, the essential task of the thesis is to explore the ecological teaching model. In this paper, the author focuses on presenting the overall design process of empirical research undertaken in the paper. Specific arrangements of the structure are as follows: firstly, to define the research questions and select proper research subjects, variables and research methods, then to list the design process and specific steps in great details. Finally to make a classified study and ecological analysis based on the collected data and textual information.

Teachers suffer from educating while students struggle with examination. College English teaching is too time-consuming and inefficient. These have been topics of concern and interest in the reform of college English teaching and learning in China. With the large expansion of the number of universities, the shortage of teaching resources has reached a bottleneck of the quality improvement of higher education in China. In the face of such a dilemma, the integration of computer network technology and curriculum teaching and the realization of the efficient integration of limited resources are an effective way to solve the pressing challenge. In this paper, the problems and advantages of the integrated mode of computer network technology and college English curriculum are discussed.

With the rapid development of social and economic globalization, China starts to pay more and more attention to college students’ English language education. At present, the rapid development of network technology in China has an obvious influence on People’s daily life, work and study, especially on China’s education cause. As a result of the influence, English language education of our country has been constantly reforming its teaching model, so as to improve the comprehensive English ability of college students and enable them to contribute to the development of China’s economic globalization. In this paper the research mainly focuses on the teaching model of college students’ English language education at current stage, and the proposal of education platform based on network technology, so as to promote college students’ comprehensive English ability and meet the requirements of current social development for college English teaching.

Through interviews and induction, this paper attempts to discuss the importance of college English teaching methods in the teaching process under the network context and point out issues like teachers’ inadequate awareness and abilities of collecting network resources and information and insufficient background monitoring on students’ study activities. Based on this, this paper proposes that college English teachers should free their minds, change their views and improve their network operation skills to know more about students’ study activities and update their knowledge bases to improve their own quality so as to redefine their roles under the network context.
