Current Status and Analysis of the Study on Quality Control

During the past years, Automatic control theory was founded. Especially in the foundation of engineering control theory, control science has formed a number of branches, such as population control, large system cybernetics, biological control and etc. Quality control of product in its whole life cycle is an important research object, especially driver development strategy in national innovation, quality and efficiency should be more collaborative developing. However, that several major engineering practice, the quality control of the situation is very serious, and urgent need to further study on the quality control theory.This paper puts focus on quality control and surveys the source of quality control, especially makes attentions to the development of theory method among quality control, control theory and engineering control theory, and then shows the developing map between quality control and control theory and finds that the quality control system caused by the fusion between quality control and control theory is one new method to break the bottleneck and suggests 4 block models of the quality control system.

This research is aimed to determine the quality control system of production process in PT Industri Sandang Nusantara unit Patal Secang, measure the efectivity of quality control system by using control P-Chart and determine factors that cause defect product. This research is explorative descriptive by case study method. Data used in this research is the procedure of production process and the number of defect product. Product used in this company is  thread R30/1 UW and R 40/1 UW PT Industri Sandang Nusantara Unit Patal Secang in 24 periods of production between April – Mei 2006. Data is collected by interview, documentation, and observation. Data is analyzed by control p-chart and fish bone diagram. The conclusion of this research are: (1) The quality control system which is consists of controlling raw materials, production process and final product is appropriate with the company’s standard; (2) the number of defect product R 30/1 UW is 26.956 bale with the average 0.0167; Control P Chart shows that there are three periods which are out of control. They are in April 30, Mei 5 and 21, 2006. (3) The number of final product R 40/1 UW is 2159 bale with the average 0.0214; control p-chart shows that there are tw periods which are out of control. They are ini Mei 6 and Mei 12, 2006. (4) Factors that cause defect product are obsolete machines, employee performance, control system, and raw materials. Based on that condition, management should impove the controlling of machines, improve motivation and commitment of the employee, improve the method of inspection and control the quality of raw materials.

This paper analyses the quality study based on the whole life cycle actions of the product by transformation of the Technology Readiness Level (TRL) and Project Progress by Fourier ,and designs the quality control system used by PID controller which simulated by Matlab software. Results show that the model is stable and accords with real situation, the outputs of quality control system and PID controller meet monotonically nondecreasing property and deviation convergents.

The features of the technology for the monolithic floors construction using void formers have been studied, its disadvantages have been identified and the ways to eliminate them have been proposed. At the first stage of this work, the reasons for the low quality of monolithic floors with void formers were studied by the method of visual and measuring control, and by comparing with known scientific and industrial data. At the second stage, by the method of systematization the main defects and damages arising in the construction, repair and usage of these floor slabs were classified and ways to eliminate them were proposed. At the third stage, the features of the quality control system, carried out directly during the construction of monolithic floor slabs using void formers, were studied, the composition of operations and control tools were proposed. According to the research results, it was found that the use of steel-fiber concrete in floors with non-removable void formers allows to reduce the percentage of reinforcement by 9.82%, compared to other known options, and also to reduce the consumption of concrete in comparison with a solid monolithic slab almost by half. The proposed quality control system will improve the efficiency of monolithic floor slabs using void formers.
