The electric energy data acquisition system is an important part of smart grid construction, and as well it is the essentail platform and core support of intelligent electricity service system. As the “neural network” of electric energy data acquisition system, the communication technology plays a vital role for improving the system performance. In this paper, we performed a comparative test associated with the application performance of electric energy data acquire solution, whilst considing both narrowband power line communication (PLC) and broadband PLC technologies. While comparing the test resuls in both laboratory ideal environment and comprehensive interference environment, it provides an important data support to master the performance of different PLC technologies in electric energy data acquisition system.

Electric Energy Data Acquisition System (EEDAS) is not only the critical basic system of the intelligent electric consumption service area, but an important part of building a unified and intelligent grid. Its technical advancement will directly relate to the energy efficiency and cost effectiveness of smart grid. This paper introduces the framework and functions of EEDAS, presents the differences between EEDAS and AMI, analyzes the current situation and obtained effectiveness in State Grid Company of China and prospects the development trend of EEDAS in the future.

Electric energy data acquisition system is the necessary requirement to construct "Marketing" infrastructure and smart grid, change the development mode of the company and grid. To solve the problems of the 230MHz wireless private network of the electric energy data acquisition system, such as low communication rate, fewer access points, low acquisition success rate and poor real-time performance, a new-type data transmission scheme of electric energy data acquisition system is proposed. The key technologies, such as carrier aggregation, software radio, multi-antenna, networking, OFDM, safeguard and other technologies, are discussed. The new-type communication technology based on SGWM in the electric energy data acquisition system is elaborated. The experimental results show that the field application effect of the new-type 230MHz communication key technology based on SGWM in the electric energy data acquisition system is improve the interactivity, real-time instantaneity, reliability of smart grid.. Thus it provides technical support for the popularization of the information bidirectional interaction and construction of smart grid.

This paper presents an experimental work to monitor data acquisition of weather buoy by applying measurement sensors and wireless communication technology. The sensors were used to measure air pressure , air temperature, humidity, wind velocity, wind direction and the global position. Specifically, the communication of data acquisition system used in the weather buoys was developed using wireless modems and data communications software. Commands were issued from a computer to instruct the data acquisition system to acquire data from sensors. The RMS of each component is recorded and entered into the measurement range of 0.28-0.69 %. This range changes slightly when they were incorporated into the data acquisition system with the error of RMS 1.761% . However this was still in a good performance since the RMS error was less than 2%.
