Transit Oriented Development (TOD) is a pattern of intensive land use within Sustainable Development Strategy. BRT Transportation Station is an important part of TOD model, and this paper try to link the TOD model to transit passenger flow forecast. Closely connecting different factors of BRT transportation station, three kinds of Urban Public Transport Hubs were put forward based on TOD. The manner and process of terminal passenger flow forecast were designed based on the study of current passenger flow scale and characteristics in the hub.

Robustness studies on integrated urban public transport networks have attracted growing attention in recent years due to the significant influence on the overall performance of urban transport system. In this paper, topological properties and robustness of a bus–subway coupled network in Beijing, composed of both bus and subway networks as well as their interactions, are analyzed. Three new models depicting cascading failure processes on the coupled network are proposed based on an existing binary influence modeling approach. Simulation results show that the proposed models are more accurate than the existing method in reflecting actual passenger flow redistribution in the cascading failure process. Moreover, the traffic load influence between nodes also plays a vital role in the robustness of the network. The proposed models and derived results can be utilized to improve the robustness of integrated urban public transport systems in traffic planning.

Urban public transport is the basic and guiding industry for the cities development. And it is also important livelihood projects. In this paper, the main problems of urban public transport development are analyzed, and the strategic measures are proposed for the problems to promote the sustainable development of public transport. This paper aims to provide decision-making reference for urban management department.

For the contradiction between the current urban public transport system and land use status in many small and medium-sized cities, the purpose of the paper is to present the counterplan framework of the land using mode and to provide mechanism and ensuring for the land using mode that matches the conventional public transit system.

Investment in the transport system with the aim of fostering attractiveness and land use in urban structures is of great interest for planners and investors. Investment in urban public transport would especially contribute to revitalising distinct city areas. The samples of high population density and diversified area use are organised around accessible means of urban public transport. The main objective of this case study was to find an adequate model for the solution of urban public transport on the location Novi Jelkovec in Zagreb after the construction of a new urban settlement, with the aim to revitalise the peripheral parts of the city. The theoretical assumption on the influence of better organised transport on land use is hereby researched through the example of correction of timetables and reduction of travelling time between nodes on the line in the Novi Jelkovec settlement. In preparing this paper the following methods were used: analysis and synthesis, mathematical and statistical methods, methods of interviewing. The theory of correlation of land use and urban public transport is based on models that develop the “compact city”. The obtained research results confirm the significance of the correlation between urban land use and urban public transport. It can be concluded that this paper proves the influence of the correlation between land use and urban public transport on the concrete example of Novi Jelkovec. Its implementation could result in solving the concrete traffic problem and along with it a faster urbanisation of the new settlement.

Optimizing the public transport and synergizing the land use can reduce the impact of urban development by attracting the development around the transit station. This situation encourages the accessibility of public transportation by creating conditions between passenger expectations realted to the concept Transit Oriented Development (TOD) between land use, mobility, and environment. This study was conducted by TOD with the area located in the center of local wisdom by cultural city, Yogyakarta Railway Station. The purpose of this study is to provide an alternative location where bus stops or Trans Jogja shelters are more easily accessible by users of rail services and facilitate the model’s transfer. The method of this research is descriptive quantitative. It explains the trans it function, needs and condition of Trans Jogja as the existing public transport and the accessibility of the bus stops. The conclusion is the recommendation for the bus stop location can be relocate near the dropout East and South area of the Railway Station

This paper has introduced the TOD mode into the optimization design of all levels of urban public transport hubs, and probed TOD mode that effectively combines land use and urban public transport hubs. A TOD planning model for the land use of urban public transport hub was built by means of a multiple objective mathematical programming model. Four objectives were considered: to increase the express public transport capacity, to improve the environment of the planned region, to maximize the returns on investment, to ensure the balance of mixed land use. The model can be used for designing the rate of public transport hub area. The Shisheng public station area in Wuhan is chosen as case study to illustrate the model application and planning results. The result indicates that the model would be efficient in practice.
