The refugia plant is one of the flowers that can be used as a shelter for natural enemies and as a feed sources for insects.  The purpose of this study was to compare the use of refugia and without refugia plants in controlling environmentally friendly red rice pests in Soporaru Hamlet, Sigotom JuluVilalge, Pangaribuan District, North of Tapanuli Regency, North of Sumatra Province. This study uses a purposive sampling method with 3 types of traps, namely: yellow traps, fall traps and net traps. The samples was identified in the Plant Disease Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, University of North Sumatra in July 2020  until February 2021.  The results showed that 8 orders of refugia were caught on land using refugia, 23 families, and 1,952 individuals, while on land without refugia there were 8 orders, 22 families and 1,807 individuals.  On land using refugia (r) compared to land without refugia (k) it is known that the Species Richness Index (R) (Rr=2.9 and Rk=2.8), Diversity Index (H) (Hr=2.67 and Hk=  2.19), and Evenness Index (E) (Er=0.85 and Ek=0.71).  Function status identified on land using refugia and without refugia as many as 5 species, namely herbivores, pollinators, predators, parasitoids and scavengers.

Abstract In this study, GSTAR modeling was carried out with the inverse of distance weight matrix obtained from Geoelectrical Resistivity data at several peatland locations around the Universitas Tanjungpura, Pontianak. This data can identify the subsurface layer of the soil through the electric current that binds into the soil. However, due to the limitation of the tool to measure the resistivity value, it can only measure 1/5 of the depth of the observation length. To overcome this problem, predictions are made at the next depth using the GSTAR model. The study began by measuring the resistivity value of the land using the geoelectric method and mapping it. Through this GSTAR modeling, predictions are made for the unobserved subsurface to determine the type of soil layer. Knowing the type of deeper soil layer can help contractors build plant concrete stakes to keep buildings safe on peatland. The results of the GSTAR(1.1) model are not accurate enough to estimate the resistivity value data. This is possible because the correlation between rock ages is not the same, so further analysis is required.

The article considers the problems of modern use of urban areas, which are mostly related with the lack of reasonable scientifically and economically rational land policy. The issues of rational urban land using and land management in settlements have been studied by many domestic scientists, but to achieve the goal of rational and efficient land using, there is a need to continue research on these issues, especially at the regional and local levels. In particular, this applies to the formation of the mechanism of payment for land in conditions where the collection of taxes on labor and entrepreneurship significantly exceeds the amount of payment for land and other natural resources. The article gives an example of effective transformation of reserve lands which are not provided for permanent use and rent, located in the peripheral zone of the city, in the land of solar energy. The issue is considered from the standpoint of the value of unused urban land in their ability to generate additional income. Calculations to determine the efficiency of land transformation in the land of solar energy were made on the example of the commissioned solar power plant LLC «NOVE TEPLO", which is in the northern industrial hub of Kremenchuk, Poltava region, which covers an area of 150.00 hectares, and the total capacity of installed solar panels 75 MW. The total income of land transformation from reserve lands to solar energy lands for 10 years and rent income from 150 hectares of land for the specified period for reserve lands in Kremenchuk according to the values of capitalized rent income standards are determined. The total income after the transformation of land was almost 300 times higher than the total income received before the transformation. Rating of ground-based SES was created by using the PV GIS web application. This tool allows you to estimate the average monthly and annual energy production from a solar electrical system connected to the grid. PV GIS calculates the optimal slope and slope exposure, which maximizes annual energy production.

The accelerating speed of urbanization has a negative impact on environmental degradation, leading to the imbalance in land-use structure and scarcity of its resources. The imbalance of the existing land-use structure and function distribution, along with the scarcity of land resources, were improved in this article to provide people with more a rational use of land service space. This article specifically contributes to the establishment of an evaluation index system for the evaluation of the suitability of urban land using Geographic Information System (GIS) technology. The topographic aspect of the planning area was determined by the filling and excavation of depth factors and terrain elevation of the planning area. This article also contributes to determining the topographic slope of the planning area and evaluation index weight for the analysis of superposition factors. GIS data processing methods, document analysis methods, and mathematical models are used to evaluate the suitability of construction land. The results of geological engineering, geological foundation, environment, and geological disasters of the northern New Area of Yan’an are combined, and the appropriate evaluation indicators are selected. The results show that the prohibited planning construction area accounts for about 4% of the total planning area. Appropriate construction and more suitable construction in the entire region account for about 96%. The mountain system is connected in form and meaning, and a rainwater collection and management system is established. The proposed method of intercepting flood ditch at the foot of the mountain was designed and adopted, followed by eventual realization of rainwater recycling and safe flood control, making urban land use more reasonable. Therefore, urban land planning is provided with a reasonable reference basis.

Urban areas are generally in the form of housing with narrow land. The purpose of this activities was to use narrow land for farming with verticulture techniques. The activity was held in Puri Zahara 1 Residence, Medan Tuntungan District. which is a residential area with narrow land. The method used was to provide training to housewife to be able to utilize the land with verticulture techniques. Housewives was briefed in order to be able to use the land using existing materials, especially verticulture techniques. The material used in verticulture techniques was paralon. The result of this dedication is that the community can utilize small land, especially in residential areas with verticulture techniques to plant flowers or vegetable crops, so that the house becomes greener and livelier. With this verticulture technique, more vegetable or fruit crops can be planted.  some plants planted include lettuce, water spinach, flowers
