CNC machining tool is the core application technology of equipment manufacturing and the key to modern manufacturing industry, which is of great significance to improve processing quality and efficiency. In general, parts with rotational characteristic are most common in NC machining. In this paper, some problems that are often encountered during NC Machining of Parts with Rotational Characteristic are introduced, and the reasons and solutions are also given.

CNC machining centers, as the key device in modern manufacturing industry, are complicated electrohydraulic products. The reliability is the most important index of CNC machining centers. However, simple life distributions hardly reflect the true law of complex system reliability with many kinds of failure mechanisms. Due to Weibull model’s versatility and relative simplicity and artificial neural networks’ (ANNs) high capability of approximating, they are widely used in reliability engineering and elsewhere. Considering the advantages of these two models, this paper defined a novel model: Weibull neural network (WNN). WNN inherits the hierarchical structure from ANNs which include three layers, namely, input layer, hidden layer, and output layer. Based on more than 3000 h field test data of CNC machining centers, WNN has been successfully applied in comprehensive operation data analysis. The results show that WNN has good approximation ability and generalization performance in reliability assessment of CNC machining centers.

The impeller as the key components of power generating machine, its processing technology has been an important subject in the manufacturing industry. The air flow meter uses in the integral impeller modeling, programming and processing research. Apply UGNX8.0 to the integral impeller for solid modeling and NC machining tool path simulation. In the terms of CNC machining for the characteristic and difficulty, put forward in this paper based on the UGNX8.0simulation of NC machining program and steps, successful interference free tool path, and according to the simulation results, generate four axis NC machining procedure of NC.

Servitization has a significant impact on the upgrading and reform of the equipment manufacturing industry. From the perspective of application of high-end servitization theory in business practice of equipment manufacturing industry, based on the review of relevant literature, this paper analyzes the concept of integration delay strategy mechanism of cooperative production between enterprises and customers, and thus constructs the theoretical model framework of 4S service pilot high-end equipment manufacturing product-customer interaction experience. With the Liaoning equipment manufacturing industry as a case for quantitative analysis, the feasibility of using delay strategy in the 4S service pilot program is demonstrated, and the three-stage development plan of Liaoning 4S service pilot is outlined. The results show that: At present, in the trend of servitization of China’s equipment manufacturing enterprises, 4S service pilot high-end manufacturing product model enables equipment manufacturing enterprises to delay production time and produce according to customer orders, improve service efficiency and optimize resource allocation, and help enterprises to obtain new exclusive competitive advantages.

Abstract In this paper, a methodology of applying convex hull property in solving the tool interference problem is presented for 5-axis NC machining of free-form surfaces. Instead of exhausted point-by-point checking for possible tool interference, a quick checking can be done by using the convex hull constructed from the control polygon of free-form surface modeling. Global tool interference in 5-axis NC machining is detected using the convex hull of the free-form surface. A correction method for removing tool interference has also been developed to generate correct tool path for 5-axis NC machining. The inter-surface tool interference can be avoided by using the developed technique.

With the over-exploitation of global resources and the increasing cost of developing land resources, marine resources have become the new choice for coastal countries to address resource problems. The development and utilization of marine resources encourages the growing of marine engineering equipment manufacturing industry. In this paper, we take Guangdong Province as the studied area, which has a natural advantage for the development of shipping and marine equipment industry, applying the mainstream industry competitive advantage theory – “diamond model” to build evaluation index system. And we calculate combining weights by AHP and variation coefficient method, as well as giving a comprehensive evaluation from the perspective of quantitative analysis for development of marine engineering equipment manufacturing industry in Guangdong Province. The results show that although Guangdong marine engineering equipment manufacturing industry achieves rapid development in recent years, the total scale amount of industry is small, shipbuilding industry development is slow, and professional technical personnel is inadequate. For these problems, this paper provides some suggestions for marine equipment manufacturing industry in Guangdong Province.
