As a new kind of concrete construction technology, fair-faced concrete is still not mature and applied widely in China by present. But it was successfully used in China Qingdao Zhuoting plaza project. Its No.1 and No.2 dwelling houses are high-rise buildings with thirty-two stories and their external walls were constructed with fair-faced concrete. As it is the highest fair-faced concrete project in China with 99.95m in height and 370 days construction period through four seasons in a year, the project meets a lot of problems and challenges. So some innovative construction technologies were studied and used which make the project smoothly and successfully completed and get many significant economic, social and environmental benefits.

Combined with the practical application, the technology of concrete construction is put forward, as well as the control method of concrete pouring quality. Construction technology of fair-faced concrete was successfully used in China Qingdao Zhuoting plaza project. As it is the highest fair-faced concrete project in China with 99.95m in height , four different concrete strength grades from C35 to C50 on different floors,370 days construction period through different four seasons in a year, the project meets a lot of problems and challenges. In this article, some innovations and key construction technologies were studied and used which make the project be successfully completed.

Concrete filled steel tube is widely used in super high-rise steel structure, but there are many problem in the construction of concrete filled steel tube. With the construction of Wanxin building as an example, this paper described the selection of the construction program, and analyzed the disadvantages in construction such as the difficulties of concrete pumping and the problems of pipe blockage, pipe explosion and concrete curing during the process of construction. Based on structural characteristics and construction difficulties, the key technique of steel tube concrete construction are introduced in detail. It can provide significant reference and guide for super high-rise building construction.

Mass concrete is widely being used in the construction field, especially for the foundation of super high-rise building. In the initial stage of pouring completion of mass concrete, lots of heat generated from the cement hydration will lead to a high temperature inside of concrete. When the temperature difference between the inner and outer of concrete exceeds the limited value, thermal stress will be greater than the tensile strength of concrete, which may cause hazardous penetrating cracks of the structure. To ensure the safety and durability of concrete structure, necessary measures should be taken to control the temperature rise and construction quality of concrete. Taking a super high-rise building project as an example, this paper introduces several effective solutions to resolve above problems. The technical measures such as enhancing the concrete quality, controlling temperature rise, strengthening temperature monitoring would be detailed illustrated. Meanwhile, valuable suggestions achieved from this practical project are proposed in order to guide the structural design and on-site construction of similar projects.
