The evolution of low-carbon economy era is putting forward new requirements for the development and operational management of tourism enterprises. A new type mode named low-carbon management gives an opportunity for tourism enterprises to change development way from extensive style to intensive one. How to measure the effect of operational management of tourism enterprises and the efficiency level, and provide a practical basis and decision-making for the development of enterprises as well as the industry is the focus of research on implementing low-carbon economy and management. Based on studying low-carbon management theory, setting up the relationship between the results analyzed by DEA method and the operational states, and taking China’s 18 listed tourism companies as empirical case studies, according to the results, to apply the emerging tools and techniques of low-carbon management, enhance the allocation level of human, material, financial and other resources, reduce excessive occupied resources and consumption, and cut down the pollution and emissions towards external environment will be the developing tide at present and in the future.

This paper firstly analyzed the current situation of integrated passenger transportation hub, putting forward the integrated passenger transportation hub had a strong advantage on developing green low-carbon economy. And then based on the energy consumption analysis of integrated passenger transportation hub, energy saving and emission reduction management measures were proposed.

AbstractGlobal issues such as environmental problems and food security are currently of concern to all of us. Circular bioeconomy is a promising approach towards resolving these global issues. The production of bioenergy and biomaterials can sustain the energy–environment nexus as well as substitute the devoid of petroleum as the production feedstock, thereby contributing to a cleaner and low carbon environment. In addition, assimilation of waste into bioprocesses for the production of useful products and metabolites lead towards a sustainable circular bioeconomy. This review aims to highlight the waste biorefinery as a sustainable bio-based circular economy, and, therefore, promoting a greener environment. Several case studies on the bioprocesses utilising waste for biopolymers and bio-lipids production as well as bioprocesses incorporated with wastewater treatment are well discussed. The strategy of waste biorefinery integrated with circular bioeconomy in the perspectives of unravelling the global issues can help to tackle carbon management and greenhouse gas emissions. A waste biorefinery–circular bioeconomy strategy represents a low carbon economy by reducing greenhouse gases footprint, and holds great prospects for a sustainable and greener world.

As the development of the society and the low-carbon economy, the low-carbon tourism visualizes its advantages more and more obviously. On the basis of the low-carbon management of the tourism service in the holiday resorts with Chinese rural characteristics, this article aims at analyzing the fostering of the low-carbon service concept, the low-carbon service creation and the low-carbon service evaluation, to confirm that whether the management of the low-carbon service in tourism in holiday resorts with Chinese rural characteristics can be achieved or not depends on the fostering of the low-carbon service concept and the low-carbon service creation under the evaluation of low-carbon service.
