Polysaccharides from Tussilago farfara L.(TFPs) was extracted with the assistance of ultrasonic.Box-Behnken design (BBD) was employed to optimize extraction time; extraction temperature;ultrasonic extraction power and ratio of water to raw material to obtain a high TFPs yield.The optimum extraction conditions were as follows: extraction temperature 65.1°C, ultrasonic power 380.5W, extraction time 28.7 min and ratio of water to raw material 23.6ml/g.The yield of polysaccharide was 2.14% based on the above mentioned conditions.

Polysaccharide from Limonium bicolor Kunze (Bge.)(LBPs) was extracted with the assistance of ultrasonic.Box-Behnken design(BBD) was employed to optimize extraction time; extraction temperature;ultrasonic extraction power and ratio of water to raw material to obtain a high LBPs yield.The optimum extraction conditions were as follows: extraction temperature 81.23°C, ultrasonic power 190.86W, extraction time 42.39 min and ratio of water to raw material 15.4ml/g.The yield of polysaccharide was 7.11% based on the above mentioned conditions. Close agreement between experimetal and predicted values was found.

Flavonoids from Platycarya Strobi lacea Sieb.et Zucc. was extracted with the assistance of microwave.Box-Behnken design (BBD) was employed to optimize extraction time; microwave power and ratio of solvent to raw material to obtain a high flavonoids yield. The optimum extraction conditions were as follows: 65.32% ethanol-water solvent, time 3.96 min and ratio of solvent to raw material 20.8 ml/g.The yield of flavonoids was 3.41% based on the above mentioned conditions.

Ultrasonic technology was applied for phenolic compounds extraction from the Pinus koraiensis bark (PKB) and response surface methodology (RSM) was used to optimize the effects of processing parameters on phenolic compounds yields. When ultrasonic power 160W,three independent variables were ultrasonic extraction time (X1 20-40min), ratio of water to raw material (X2 1:20-1:40 g/mL)and ethanol concentration(X3 20%-60%), respectively.The optimal extraction conditions of phenolic compounds were determined as follows: Ultrasonic extraction time 30.61 min, ratio of water to raw material 30.79 mL/g and ethanol concentration 42.2%. Under these conditions, the experimental yield of phenolic compounds was 8.2409 ± 0.0648‰, well matched with the predicted models with the coefficients of determination (R2) of 0.9920, which was agreed closely with the predicted value (8.2963‰).

The extraction processing of lycopene from watermelon was investigated in this paper. Based on single factor experiments, response surface methodology (RSM) was adopted to study the key parameters such as number of extraction, extraction temperature, extraction time in order to increase extraction rate of lycopene. A second order quadratic equation was established and the applicability of model and interaction involved factors on predicting the lycopene extracting content was verified. The results indicated that the optimum extraction conditions were hexane (containing 2% dichloromethane) as extraction solvent, ratio of solvent to raw material of 3:1 (mL/g), number of extraction of 2, extraction time of 1.9 h and extraction temperature of 29.8°C. Under these conditions the extracting content of lycopene was 14.71±0.22 mg/kg, which is well in agreement with value predicted by the model.

An ultrasonic-assisted procedure for the extraction of polysaccharides from Melaleuca ahemifolia was investigated using response surface methodology (RSM). A Box–Behnken design (BBD) was employed to investigate the effects of extraction time, ratio of water to raw material and ultrasonic power on the extraction yield of polysaccharides.The statistical analysis indicated that three variables and the quadratic terms had significant effects on the yield (p<0.05). The experimental data obtained were fitted to a second-order polynomial equation using multiple regression analysis and further analyzed by appropriate statistical methods (ANOVA). The optimum extraction conditions were as follows: extraction time of 21 min, ratio of water to raw material of 40, ultrasonic power of 170 W. Under the optimization conditions, the experimental yield of polysaccharides was 6.194%, which was in good agreement with the predicted value (6.288%).

Blueberry wine residues produced during the wine-brewing process contain abundant anthocyanins and other bioactive compounds. To extract anthocyanins from blueberry wine residues more efficiently, a novel procedure of ultrasound-assisted deep eutectic solvent extraction (UADESE) was proposed in this work. The extraction process was optimized by response surface methodology coupled with genetic algorithm. The optimum extraction parameters to achieve the highest yield of anthocyanins (9.32 ± 0.08 mg/g) from blueberry wine residues by UADESE were obtained at water content of 29%, ultrasonic power of 380 W, extraction temperature of 55 °C, and extraction time of 40 min. The AB-8 macroporous resin combined with Sephadex LH-20 techniques was used to purify the crude extract (CE) obtained under optimum extraction conditions and analyze the anthocyanins composition by HPLC-ESI-MS/MS. The cyanidin-3-rutinoside with purity of 92.81% was obtained. The HepG2 antitumor activity of CE was better than that of the purified anthocyanins component. Moreover, CE could increase the intracellular reactive oxygen species levels and the apoptosis, and arrest HepG2 cells in the S phases. These findings provided an effective and feasible method for anthocyanins extraction, and reduced the environmental burden of this waste.

In order to study the the Chuanxiong polysaccharide ultrasonic extraction process, examine the ultrasonic time, ultrasonic power, solid-liquid ratio and extraction temperature on the Chuanxiong polysaccharide extract rate. The results show that the role of time at 30min Polysaccharide better, the extraction rate is 26.63%. when the ultrasonic power is 320W, Polysaccharide extraction rate is 26.15%.When the solid-liquid ratio is 1:20, polysaccharide extraction rate is 27.73%. When the extraction temperature is 60°C, the polysaccharide extraction rate is 27.73%.

Optimization conditions for ultrasonic extraction of phenolics from litchi seed were studied using response surface methodology. A Box–Behnken design (BBD) was applied to determine the effects of extraction temperature, methanol concentration and extraction time on yield of phenolics. Then a quadratic regression model was developed and found to be statistically significant by examining its adequacy. According to the model, the maximum yield of phenolics was obtained at the theoretical extraction conditions described as follows: extraction temperature 90°C, methanol concentration 59% and extraction time 70 min. Under this condition, the experimental value was 5.48 ± 0.03% (n = 3) with gallic acid as the equivalent, which agreed with the predicted value (5.52%) closely.
