Be aimed at the characteristics of high temperature-salinity and severe heterogeneity of Bohai oilfield. This paper studies three different strength kinds of polymer gel profile control agents. Use storage modulus evaluates strength of polymer gel. the result indicate that the storage modulus of weak gel is between0.1 Pa and 1.0 Pa, the storage modulus of moderate gel is between1.0 Pa and 3.1 Pa, the maximal value of powerful gels storage modulus is11.9 Pa during 90 days. Core laboratory findings indicate that these different strength kinds of polymer gel have well formation sealing quality and endure washing out quality,40PV by water erosion , the formation sealing rate is up 90%.the experiment result of water shutoff and flooding oil indicate that the EOR is13.44% in heterogeneity core.

Organic phenolic gel is commonly used to be a deep profile control agent which applies to use in the high water cut oilfields where heterogeneity is severe, improve the contradiction of inter-reservoir layer and inner layer, expand water sweeping zone, and achieve the purpose of stable oil production and water control. Organic phenolic weak gel is mainly affected by the concentration of each component and reaction temperature. In this paper, formaldehyde was replaced by urotropin, which is not only delaying the gelation time, but also avoiding pollution. In addition, a water-soluble phenolic resin oligomer has been synthesized by the method of two-step alkali catalysis with appropriate mole ratio as an auxiliary crosslinking agent. Considering the concentration of each reactant as the factor, the orthogonal experiments have been designed to optimize the traditional organic HPAM-phenolic weak gel. We have found that the optimized weak gel has a better stability, longer gelation time, better salt resistance and environment friendly. It can better meet the needs of oilfield deep profile control.

Under the constraints of high temperature and heterogeneity, the common profile control agent can not effectively plug the steam channeling. To address this issue, it is necessary to develop the high temperature resistance steam channeling plugging agent to improve the steam suction profile in the heavy oil reservoir. This paper used Simple Variable Method to optimize the content of the components of the high temperature resistant plugging agent. Static performances evaluation aims to study the influence rules of the formation condition (temperature, salinity and pH value). Dynamic evaluation is used to study its performance (plugging ratio, residual resistance factor, scouring resistance and thermal stability) in the sand-filled pipe to testify its applicability. The ratio of the component and the injection sequence are shown as follows: 0.03% coagulant +2.2% cross-linking agent I + 1.2% cross-linking II + 6% high efficient main agent. The evaluation experiment results show that the gel can resist at least 280ºC, the plugging ratio is above 93.1%. The plugging ratio only have a 8.43% reduction after scoured by 15 PV steam (280ºC). After a 10-day thermal stability experiment (280 ºC), the plugging ratio is still above 80%. The result indicated that the plugging agent is suitable for the improvement of steam suction profile. The suggested way of injection is also provided.

A polymer gel-surfactant composition profile control technology has been developed, basing on the high salinity, especially high levels of Ca2+, Mg2+ in the injection water of the Hongshanzui oilfield. The construction parameters of deep profile control & oil displacement have been studied by performing core displacement experiments. The results show that the ratio of polymer gel slug and active agents slug is 1:0.3, the best ratio of strong polymer gel, medium polymer gel and weak polymer gel slug is 4:3:3. The way of combination is stronger gel slug + surfactant slug + in strong gel slug + weak gel slug + surfactant slug + strong gel sealing slug. The application effect of this technology in Hongshanzui oilfield is remarkable, the 12 tune flooding group daily oil production rose from 85t to 130t and the liquid water content decreased from 75% to 67%.

In order to control water and increase oil recovery in reservoir of high temperature (120°C), experiments were carried out to study the impacts of dosage of HPAM, crosslinking agent, delayed crosslinking agent and heat stabilizer on the properties of gel system, and a high temperature-resistant movable weak gel profile control system was presented, whose formula is 2.0g/L HPAM + 0.2% (volume fraction) crosslinking agent + 0.1g/L delayed crosslinking agent + 0.1g/L heat stabilizer. This gel system has good thermal stability at 120°C. It has good flow properties before gelation, and can effectively enter larger pores. After gelation, its viscosity increases so significantly that it can be stranded and the larger pores can be plugged. The plugging rate can be over 93%. Thus, subsequent fluid injection can be redirected into the low-permeability layers, effectively improving the reservoir water absorption profile and oil recovery.

Both the single fluid and double-fluid method for water shutoff and profile control have their limitations. If the two kinds of working fluids are used in combination for water shutoff and profile control, each of them exhibits its own plugging capability while they can form plugging materials when they contact and react with each other. This method can be used as a plugging system in the formations, eliminating the low utilization ratio and huge waste of the single or double-fluid chemicals. It can enhance the plugging capability and improve the water shutoff and profile control results. The single and double fluid (SAD) system has been proved satisfactory in the field tests of conventional chemical water shutoff and profile control, high temperature chemical water shutoff and high temperature profile control and channeling-plugging in thermal recovery wells. The economic benefits are remarkable from the field tests of 14 wells.

Cyclic steam stimulation is a kind of recover method for heavy oil. Along with steam stimulation cycles increased, steam channeling interference phenomenon will appear. To solve the problem, one of the most effective methods is high temperature profile control technology. In this paper, a new type of high temperature plugging agent of tannin foam system was researched, and the influencing factors on it were analyzed. Through foam system selection and static evaluation high temperature profile control agent of tannin foam system has been selected. The formula is: foaming agent DHG-1 for 0.5%, tannin for 7.5%, formaldehyde for 4.0%, phenol for 1.0%, CaCl2 for 1000ppm. The tannin foam system can be used in steam stimulation well.
