Set pair analysis is a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods used in decision-making. Aiming at the irrelevance of each indicator, an evaluation model of bolt and wire mesh support scheme of roadway based on set pair analysis is set up and a relativity to optimal scheme which combines multiple indicators as well as its set pair situation are applied to describe the comprehensive benefits of bolt and wire mesh support scheme. Evaluation results of three optional support schemes in a mine of Yaojie Coal and Electricity Co., Ltd are obtained using this method, and an optimal scheme with the best comprehensive benefits is determined.

On the basis of discussing the basic features of rural power grid planning project and the status quo, this paper has constructed evaluation index system of the rural power grid planning project, and based on the characteristics of its particularity and indicators, established a fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model based on set pair analysis. It has carried on the comprehensive evaluation to some county in power grid planning project to verify the validity of the selected method. It will provide referential basis for the scientific decision of county power enterprises.

Water resources are the foundation that mankind depends on for his existence and development. In order to realize the sustainable development of the society and economy, we must give more consideration to the comprehensive evaluation about regional water utilization level. The method of Set Pair Analysis (SPA) is used to study the relationship between certainty and uncertainty among the objective things and its core is to compute the connection degree among the things. The paper puts forward a new method based on SPA to build the evaluation standards according to the actual conditions of regional water utilization. Employing this new method, the paper studies the water utilization level of the area along the lower Yellow River quantitatively, and compares the evaluated results with the results from multi-hierarchy grey relation comprehensive evaluation model (MGRCEM). The comparison shows that the overall results from the SPA method are consistent with those from MGRCEM. Moreover, the SPA method has many advantages such as convenient and simple computation, objective and reasonable evaluation results and so on. The applied method can serve as a new approach for water utilization studies, and the evaluation standards built in the paper can solve some evaluation problems of regional water utilization level effectively.

Despite the rapid development of risk analysis in dam engineering, there is a relative absence of research on the environmental impact of dam break. As a systematic theory, set pair analysis has a good effect in dealing with uncertainties, although the result is relatively rough and easy to distort. A connection degree of five grades and a generalized set of potential are introduced to improve traditional set pair analysis. Combined with the index system, the evaluation model of the environmental impact of dam break is established, which is based on generalized set pair analysis. Taking Sheheji Reservoir dam as an example, a comparison of evaluation results of fuzzy mathematics theory and generalized set pair analysis is made, which verifies the scientificity and practicability of the method proposed in this paper. The results show that the evaluation grade of the environmental impact of dam break at Sheheji Reservoir is serious, and appropriate management measures should be taken to reduce the risk.

In recent years, urbanization has developed rapidly, and urban road play a vital role as the premise. Due to the good effectiveness of asphalt pavement, which is more popular in urban road, and road maintenance demands are also increasing. In order to make the maintenance work appropriate, accurate pavement performance evaluation is the premise. This paper collects the data of a road pavement condition in Shanghai and calculates the sub-indexes of each section. We use the entropy weight method to obtain the influence degree of each sub-index. Then we use the revised set pair analysis to construct the comprehensive performance evaluation model of urban road pavement. The analysis shows that compared with the standard method and the set pair analysis, the revised model is more objective, in line with the actual use of the road.

In order to improve the objectivity of urban public transport network evaluation and achieve the sub-file of quality level of preliminary scheme, a comprehensive evaluation method for urban public transport network was proposed based on TOPSIS, and then constructed the evaluation model of urban public transport network. This method was applied to Xian urban public transport network planning, which obeyed the basic theory of scheme evaluation and some related requirements. The result showed that planning-5 was the best one among the five urban public transport network planning in Xian and consistent with the passenger flow prediction. The evaluation model for urban public transport network based on TOPSIS was objective, which involved few parameters, simple operation, scientific evaluation and provided a basis for urban public transport network planning decision.

The fuzzy comprehensive evaluation which is one of the important embranchment of fuzzy mathematics is often used in the field of science management and decision, but less used in the machining process. Based on the fuzzy mathematical theory, we put forward the establishing process of fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model, and then set up the three-grade fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model of cutting sequence. Three cutting sequences of multi-feature bearing chock component have been evaluated, the evaluation results have verified the rationality and trueness of the model. The application and dissemination of the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation will have active significance in the machining process.
