The main objective of this study was to model and simulate a multi-flexible-body three-dimensional model for researching the Multi – rope Friction Winder system. By introducing the multi-flexible-body dynamics method, a multi-flexible-body virtual prototype of the winder is been builded with the RecurDyn software package. Kinematics and dynamics characteristic date are obtained by computer-aided dynamic simulation of virtual Multi – rope friction winder. The result is in accord with theoretical analysis. The research work will provide a powerful tool and useful method for the design of economic and credible elevator system. The approach can be generalized to analysis other flexible drive fields.

The Church of Asunción of Llíria (Valencia, Spain) is one of the best examples of the Valencian Baroque of the seventeenth century. This research is based on the study of the building from an urban, historical, and especially, a constructive view. The location of this particular church is unique because it is embedded in a mountain. First, some excavations were made into the mountain before the construction of the church started. Thus, there is a slope between the main entrance of the church and the rear. This research work provides the analysis of the ground humidity throughout the Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) technique. We have analysed the subsoil of the whole church by various cuts or paths. Longitudinal and transversal measurements allowed us to produce a three-dimensional model of the land on which the church stands. We have also analysed the homogeneity or heterogeneity of the subsoil in each area and the presence of certain ground water routes. The rising moisture has been analysed on the walls and pillars of the church. To this end, a moisture analyser has been employed to monitor the moisture content over a period of six months. With this information, it was possible to identify points that are systematically more humid.

Coupled vibration between transmission shaft and drive axle gears is one of the main factors influencing NVH in the FR transmission system. Based on the transmission shaft and drive axle gears, using UG to establish three-dimensional model, establishing flexible-body dynamics model and solving coupling vibration laws of transmission shaft and drive axle gears by ADAMS, and analyzing influencing factors on coupled vibration between transmission shaft and drive axle gears. It is of theoretic significance, for design parameters and installation matching between transmission shaft and drive axle gears.

Abstract. The Negro Tower, in El Algar, Cartagena (Region of Murcia, Spain), is a building which dates to 1585. It is a tower built in a rural environment, inland from the coast, to alert and protect the population from pirate attacks. It was part of the network of watchtowers and defense posts along the coast of Murcia built between the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. The tower is protected as a historical monument, but its state of conservation is very poor. For this reason, a comprehensive study has been carried out to ensure its correct restoration and future conservation. Historical and constructive analysis has allowed us to discover the social, cultural and architectural characteristics of the tower. Digital photogrammetry and 3D laser scanning compatible with classic topography have been used for the graphic survey of the tower. All this information has permitted the elaboration of thorough three-dimensional modelling and the proposal of a volumetric recomposition of the tower. The presentation will set out the working methodology followed as well as the important results achieved. This research work aims to contribute to the recognition and correct conservation of the Tower. The graphic survey and the three-dimensional model obtained will allow the recovery of the tower and its integration into the natural environment.

Coiler is a very important equipment in the aluminum cold rolling production line. It plays an important role in improving the quality of the strip. In this essay, taken the aluminum cold rolling coiler drive system as the research object, in order to studying its dynamics characteristic, three-dimensional model has been built based on the finite element method. With the model, the aluminums weight has been verified, frequency and modal have been discussed, and the dangerous speed zone has been built by the first frequency. The result could serve as theoretical base for coiler design and manufacturing process.

Dynamic characteristics of the breech mechanism directly affect warship’s reliability. Most of the research on the breech mechanism is related to locking chamber and firing primer, while few articles are found out about extracting cartridge-case. In this paper, nonlinear finite element method is used to research on flexible body dynamics of the breech mechanism. At first, structure and cartridge-case extracting process is analyzed. Then stresses and case speeds caused during the extracting process are tested. Flexible body dynamics model of some breech mechanism is built by using PROE, Hypermesh and ABAQUS software. Three models are used to compared with the experiment, which include three different element types. Finally, kinetic energy, internal energy, extractor stresses and case average speed are analyzed after wear of the extracting template.

To solve the instability of track robot in the process of climbing obstacles, a track robot with passive rocker was designed and a three-dimensional model of track robot was developed by Unigraphics NX in this paper. Furthermore, the kinematic analysis was made for obstacle performance of the track robot. The virtual prototype model of the track robot with passive rocker was set up by using the tracked vehicle subsystem of multi-body dynamics simulation software RecurDyn and kinematics simulation for this robot was made. The simulation results verify the feasibility of the machine and provide some theoretical guidance for developing the obstacle performance of track robot.

Compared with the three-dimensional rotor model for a central tie rod rotor, an equivalent one-dimensional model can greatly improve the computational efficiency in rotor dynamics analysis with a certain accuracy. However, little research work can be found on improving the modeling accuracy of one-dimensional models using experimental data. In this paper, a one-dimensional discrete mass model considering pretightening force is proposed for central tie rod rotors to achieve the purpose of both efficient and accurate modeling. Experimental testing and three-dimensional model analysis are used as reference and verification approaches. A sensitivity-based method is adopted to update the proposed one-dimensional model via minimizing the error in the critical speed comparing with the corresponding three-dimensional finite element model which has been verified by a modal test. Prediction of damped unbalanced response is conducted to show the practicality of the updated one-dimensional model. Results show that the method presented in this research work can be used to simulate a complex preloaded rotor system with high efficiency and accuracy.
