One of the research works of network control systems is the effect of network upon control systems. A simulation platform of networked control systems is designed for this purpose. Matlab is used to build models of real systems. Communication between controller and process is fulfilled with Winsock. The simulation platform supports many control algorithms and gives good environment for the analysis and gives good environment for the analysis and design of networked control systems.

With the development of electronic technology, computer and networked communication technology, control system is speeding up from close and centralized architecture to being open and distributed, to satisfy the continuous developing requirement of control quality and management. Networked control system is gradually formed in the process, and soon become one of the most important domains of control technique. One of the research of networked control systems is the effect of network upon control systems .A simulation platform of networked control systems is designed for this purpose. Matlab is used to build models of real systems. The simulation platform gives good environment for the analysis and design of networked control systems.

The use of Network Control Systems has been successful in the industry and therefore has opened several lines of research. Control systems over a communication network include two important considerations, control and scheduling. Co-design strategies are focused on maintaining adequate control performance and maximize the level of service. Network scheduling is the main objective to resolve because through a balanced data load is possible to maintain control performance in a desired level. This article reviews a scheduling strategy based on frequency transition modeled as a linear subsystem, this control reconfigure on line the sensors’ periods. The case of study is the control of a prototype helicopter and by numerical simulations it shows the effect of changing the transmission frequency.

Aiming at the problem of the network delay, this paper presents a kind of application of generalized predictive control algorithm in networked control systems. The algorithm applys future control signal predicted by MPC (model predictive control) to compensating for the delay or interruption in forward channel, and the delay in feedback channel with a predictor at the same time. The paper describes the control characteristic and discusses the stability of network control system, and verificates the algorithm's feasible and effective characteristics in networked control systems through the simulation.

The networked control system typically introduces network delay that have not been considered at the design stage. As a consequence, the system performance is degraded with respect to the expected response. This thesis introduces a methodology to apply external gain assist networked control systems. The proposed methodology uses externalgain to modify the controller output with respect to the current network traffic conditions in order to enable an existing controller for networked control systems and compensate the performance degradetion induced by network delay. This methodology can change existing traditional controller directly to network controller and not modify the original control algorithms.
