Relationships between project management, operations management, and organizational strategy are well-known, as well as organizational influences on project. Family businesses work on projects, but their unique nature makes family firms a challenging context for Project Management. This chapter aims to present and discuss the specific dynamics of family business that can impact project management practices. By definition, a project is a complex system, consisting of a set of dozens of interrelated sub-processes. As is known, the percentage of projects that satisfy both technical requirements, budget compliance and which meet the deadlines, is extremely low. This fact forces the researchers to equip themselves with more sophisticated tools to face the complexity of a project, in order to increase its chances of success.

The Kurdistan region has a good environment for improving the agricultural sector. At the same time, the agricultural sector is a powerful source for economic independence, keeping food security and the national security of the Kurdistan region.   The natural and humanitarian basics are the important support to build the agricultural sector in the Kurdistan region, but the problems and obstacles are more than the opportunities, which the taking out (oil) is an obstacle and the authority takes advantage of it. This makes that they don’t care about the agricultural sector. The farmers have not been supported to develop the sector. The people of the Kurdistan region have become consumers (parasites), not producer. It is important that the system of the country have to be built again. In a way which serves and invigorate this sector by encouraging and providing the needs of agricultural production to make improvement in order to increase the amount of production inside of the country.

Abstract Demands for building in urban areas have been increasing lately, especially educational buildings as support for the human development index. Unfortunately, only a few educational buildings can support green buildings as pilots and educational materials for their users. One of the initiators in becoming educational materials and examples of green buildings is the i-cell multipurpose educational building at the Universitas Indonesia. This study aims to find evidence of how reliable and sustainable planning of an educational building in Depok, Indonesia, can accommodate the needs of its users while being environmentally friendly for its surroundings. It observes the influences of vegetation in the surrounding building, one of which is by maximizing the function of vegetation around the building. The research methods include collecting data from the weather archive, vegetation literature, observing the subject, and analyzing the vegetation’s effect. This study shows that vegetation has an important role in generating a sound environment for humans and buildings, including healing and providing calmness. This study concludes that vegetation plays a role in generating a good environment by decreasing temperature, sound pollution, sun glare and providing shading areas for people. Those conditions lead to the sustainability of the environment surrounding the building.

The sudden outbreak of COVID-19 has changed the teaching mode of colleges and universities, leading to the transformation of teaching philosophy and innovation of teaching technology. Based on this, the paper constructs the “SFL” model of college English blended teaching, namely “Spoc + Flipped classroom + Live broadcast”. Guided by New Constructivism, the model is characterized by independent inquiry, cooperative learning, teacher guidance and live broadcast interaction, breaking the traditional ways of teaching. The paper analyzes and discusses the experimental process and results of the first round of integrated English course under the model of “SFL”, in order to explore the effective ways of college English blended teaching under the good environment required by the public health of post-epidemic era, namely, smokeless campus, and provide reference for other colleges and universities.

Abstract In this project our aim is to produce a soundproofing board which is made out of Maize stem (stalk). Due to increase in number of industries, factories and vehicle traffic cause serious noise pollution. So to overcome this, use of Sound proofing panels in the structural elements could significantly help to reduce the sound as well as gives a good environment to work. People nowadays demand for a better working environment. Many commercialized sound proofing materials are available in the market, the cost of these materials would be much higher and also it could cause health issues when people are exposed with the material. So use of sound proofing panels made with agro-waste could be a better solution, an attempt has been made to produce a soundproofing board which is made out of stalk portion of maize plant. The board’s sound absorption property is studied in this research by using Impedance test and the cost of maize stem board is cheap enough so that everyone can afford it.
