High-Cr cast-penetrated layer contained nanometer ceramic particles was formed on the surface of the medium carbon steel ZG250-470 by adding nanoTiN intermediate alloy powder to cast-penetrated agent. Microstructure and wear resistance of the strengthened cast-penetrated layer were studied. The results showed that: compared with not adding intermediate alloy, there were finer and more uniform microstructure and better high temperature and high speed wear performance of strengthened cast-penetrated layer strengthened by nanoTiN intermediate alloy. Strengthening effect would be best by adding the intermediate alloy containing rare earth. By adding intermediate alloy containing Ni, the best high temperature wear resistance of cast-penetrated layer could be obtained.

H13 steel is prone to insufficient high temperature wear resistance due to thermal wear under high temperature conditions. To improve high temperature wear resistance of H13 steel, the maraging steel coating with low-nickel was successfully prepared owing to excellent thermal stability. Sliding wear tests at 400, 500 and 600 °C were carried out for the laser cladding coating and H13 steel to comparatively investigate their high temperature wear performance and mechanism. The microstructure, phases, hardness and thermal stability of the maraging steel coating were also studied. The results showed that the maraging steel coating possessed excellent high temperature wear resistance and effectively improved the high temperature wear resistance of H13 steel by laser cladding. The superior thermal stability of maraging steel played an important role in improving its high temperature wear resistance.

Wear resistance of Zn-Al alloys declines sharply at high-speed overload, or poor lubrication, friction interface adhering. It is necessary to further improve the properties of Zn-Al alloys. Silicon were added into Zn-Al alloys as reinforcement (Si from 3%, 5% to 7%) and modified with mixed salt (sodiums, CaF2 and KCl ) and mixed rare earth(La and Ce oxides).Research determined the hardness, tensile toughness, wear quantities (at room and high temperature), observed the microstructure of alloys, analyzed the modification mechanism of modifier on silicon ,and selected a better sample for testing of high temperature wear resistance and high speed friction- rotating. The results show that silicon phases are significantly modified from sheet to spheroid, the properties are further improved because of silicon as hard phase in alloys, especially, the high temperature properties increases greatly, adhering temperature increases from below 170°C to above 250°C.
