Magnetic properties and ferromagnetic resonance data of (Co41Fe39B20)x-(SiO2)100-x composite films and multilayer structures composed of these films separated by SiC interlayers have been studied. It has been shown that one of the possible causes responsible for the differences of magnetic properties of composites and multilayer structures can be different shapes of magnetic particles and granules in these materials.

Iron-based amorphous alloys are characterized by so-called soft magnetic properties. Unfortunately, the geometry of iron-based amorphous materials significantly limits the applicability of these materials. One way to expand the use of these materials is to make composites based on them. As part of this work, rapid-cooled alloys were produced using the injection casting method. On their basis, magnetic composites with the addition of a non-magnetic binder were produced. The results of the structure (XRD) and magnetic properties (VSM) tests of the produced materials are presented. The research results have shown that the decisive impact on the magnetic properties of composites is the fact of the separation of magnetic particles with a non-magnetic binder. In this case, the influence of exchange interactions is dominated by dipole interactions.

In this study, iron removal was carried out by the adsorption process as a well-known method of removing heavy metal. Natural bentonite with magnetic properties in a monolithic form or Magnetite-Bentonite-based Monolith (MBM) adsorbent was used as an adsorbent to remove Iron (II) ion from the aqueous solution. The magnetic properties of adsorbents are obtained by adding magnetite (Fe3O4), which is synthesized by the coprecipitation process. The characterization of magnetic properties was performed using the Vibrating Sample Magnetometer (VSM). VSM results showed that the magnetic particles were ferromagnetic. Adsorption efficiency, isotherm model, and adsorption kinetics were investigated in a batch system with iron solution concentration varied from 2 to 10 mg/L and magnetite loading at 2% and 5% w/w. The highest removal efficiency obtained reached 89% with a 5% magnetite loading. The best fit to the data was obtained with the Langmuir isotherm (non-linear) with maximum monolayer adsorption capacity (Qo) at 5% magnetic loading MBM adsorbent is 0.203 mg/g with Langmuir constants KL and aL are 2.055 L/g and 10.122 L/mg respectively. The pseudo-first-order (non-linear) kinetic model provides the best correlation of the experimental data with the rate of adsorption (k1) with magnetite loading 2% and 5%, respectively are 0.024 min-1 and 0.022 min-1.

Magneto-rheological elastomer( MR elastomer) is an emerging intelligent material made up of macromolecule polymer and magnetic particles. While a promising wide application it has in the fields of warships vibration controlling for its controllable mechanical, electrical and magnetic properties by external magnetic field, design and application of devices based on it are facing great limitations imposed by its poor performance in mechanical properties and magneto effect. Aiming at developing a practical MR elastomer, a new confecting method was proposed in this paper. Then, following this new method and using a specificly designed solidifying matrix, an amido- polyester MR elastomer was developed with its mechanical property systemically explored.

In this study, we examine by comparing the dynamic magnetic and hysteretic properties of Ising-type endohedral fullerene (EF) with various dopant magnetic particles confined within a spherical cage. The model of EF X@C[Formula: see text] with X = spin-1/2, spin-1 and spin-3/2 is proposed to study the effect of the nature of core particle on the magnetic properties. The results were obtained by mean-field theory as well as Glauber-type stochastic dynamics, and focused on the response of thermal and hysteretic behaviors of systems. The system exhibits second- and first-order phase transitions. In three different core cases, the system also exhibits type-II superconductivity behavior with a dynamic hysteresis curves of the core. All results display magnetic properties of the EF which strongly depend on the nature of core particle. Moreover, core particle and core/shell (C–S) interaction are proposed as the basic factors affecting the magnetic properties of EF system.
