One of the work cycles of reinforced concrete structures is the state of repair and reconstruction, including the steps of strengthening elements. The traditional types of strengthening of reinforced concrete which are steel and concrete collars and shirts - now are receding into the background. New methods of strengthening with modern materials such as lamellae are increasingly being used. The article deals with the issues related to strengthening the structures made of high-strength concrete using composite polymeric materials.

Abstract in the article the main types of building structures are considered, which are distinguished by the type of material. For the purpose of studying, each type has brief information including its advantages and disadvantages in comparison with others. In the section reinforced concrete structures, the authors characterize this material from three sides - this is the method of manufacture, the type of concrete and its stressed state. As a result, it was found that when choosing a foundation, special attention is paid to: bearing capacity, type of building being built, soil characteristics. In addition to the above, it can be added that weight reduction, cost reduction and material consumption in reinforced concrete structures are possible through the use of high-strength concrete and reinforcement. Metal structures are the most popular building material. The possibilities of this material are very diverse: building designs, designs specifically for certain seismic and climatic conditions, and high decorative properties. Due to its strength and rigidity, buildings can withstand hurricane gusts of wind and earthquakes. In the manufacture of structures in the factory and during installation, steel is subjected to various technological operations: welding, cutting, machining. It was found that in this case the steel does not collapse, it retains the microstructure and mechanical properties. Finally, steel should not have a significant cost of manufacturing structures from it. Turning to the section of wooden structures, the authors list the main advantages - it is comfortable and environmentally friendly and material.

The article presents a brief overview of the life path of the Swiss mathematician and mechanic Leonard Euler, considers the history of the emergence of the formula for calculating stability, shows options for taking into account the fl exibility of an element in the calculations of reinforced concrete structures, the disadvantages of the Euler curve and the features of its application in relation to structures made of high-strength concrete and concrete hardening under pressure. An example of the result of using a non-linear deformation model in the calculations of eccentrically compressed reinforced concrete elements with the introduction into the algorithm for calculating a coeffi cient that takes into account the eff ect of buckling (defl ection) of an element on its bearing capacity is given.

Development of manufacture of linear diene oligomers belonging to a liquid rubbers class with viscous liquids consistence allowed to create a new class of conglomerate polymer composite materials - rubber concrete (RubCon®). Rubber concrete is the advanced constructional material created for last years. It is polymer concrete with a unique set of physical-mechanical, chemical and technological properties which allow to obtain highly effective building structures and products on its basis.

A method of reinforcing conical reinforced concrete struts by external reinforcement with composite materials is considered. The calculation of reinforced concrete struts according to the limiting states of the first group, reinforced with composite materials in accordance with the requirements of SP 63.13330.2012 and SP 164.1325800.2014. Based on the calculation, a comparative analysis of the characteristics of polymer composite materials presented on the domestic market is carried out, rational schemes of external reinforcement of conical reinforced concrete racks are proposed, used as an AMC for installing antenna-feeder equipment for cellular communication. The results of the analysis can be used for a rational choice of polymer composite materials and reinforcement schemes for conical reinforced concrete struts.
