Dilemmi etici dei professionisti sanitari e Covid-19

Gli Autori hanno svolto una ricerca su un campione di 1.009 persone in tema di scelte etiche in periodo pandemico (aprile 2020) somministrando un apposito questionario online (web interviews). Di questo campione, il 10% ha dichiarato in sede di compilazione di svolgere una professione dell’area sanitaria. Partendo dall’analisi di questi dati e alla luce della letteratura di riferimento e delle raccomandazioni del SIAARTI/SIMLA “Decisioni per le cure intensive in caso di sproporzione tra necessità assistenziali e risorse disponibili in corso di pandemia da COVID-19”, gli Autori propongono alcune riflessioni in tema di dilemmi etici.

This paper explains TeachNet, a website for Rikkyo University English teachers. It covers the website’s goals and development from the start to my term of supervision. Problems and suggestions for such sites are provided along with a brief analysis of actual website usage, as measured with a commercial online web statistics firm. 本論では、立教大学の英語教員向け情報・教材データベースTeachNetについて概説する。このウェブサイトの目標や、開設以降の発展状況も示す。さらに、このようなサイトの問題点を指摘し、提案を行い、オンライン統計会社による利用者のデータ分析結果も提示する。

The Microbe Directory is a collective research effort to profile and annotate more than 7,500 unique microbial species from the MetaPhlAn2 database that includes bacteria, archaea, viruses, fungi, and protozoa. By collecting and summarizing data on various microbes’ characteristics, the project comprises a database that can be used downstream of large-scale metagenomic taxonomic analyses, allowing one to interpret and explore their taxonomic classifications to have a deeper understanding of the microbial ecosystem they are studying. Such characteristics include, but are not limited to: optimal pH, optimal temperature, Gram stain, biofilm-formation, spore-formation, antimicrobial resistance, and COGEM class risk rating. The database has been manually curated by trained student-researchers from Weill Cornell Medicine and CUNY—Hunter College, and its analysis remains an ongoing effort with open-source capabilities so others can contribute. Available in SQL, JSON, and CSV (i.e. Excel) formats, the Microbe Directory can be queried for the aforementioned parameters by a microorganism’s taxonomy. In addition to the raw database, The Microbe Directory has an online counterpart (https://microbe.directory/) that provides a user-friendly interface for storage, retrieval, and analysis into which other microbial database projects could be incorporated. The Microbe Directory was primarily designed to serve as a resource for researchers conducting metagenomic analyses, but its online web interface should also prove useful to any individual who wishes to learn more about any particular microbe.

Abstract Background The extent to which Point-of-care of ultrasound (POCUS) is used in different European helicopter EMS (HEMS) is unknown. We aimed to study the availability, perception, and future aspects of POCUS in the European HEMS using an online survey. Method A survey about the use of POCUS in HEMS was conducted by a multinational steering expert committee and was carried out from November 30, 2020 to December 30, 2020 via an online web portal. Invitations for participation were sent via email to the medical directors of the European HEMS organizations including two reminding notes. Results During the study period, 69 participants from 25 countries and 41 different HEMS providers took part in the survey. 96% (n = 66) completed the survey. POCUS was available in 75% (56% always when needed and 19% occasionally) of the responding HEMS organizations. 17% were planning to establish POCUS in the near future. Responders who provided POCUS used it in approximately 15% of the patients. Participants thought that POCUS is important in both trauma and non-trauma-patients (73%, n = 46). The extended focused assessment sonography for trauma (eFAST) protocol (77%) was the most common protocol used. A POCUS credentialing process including documented examinations was requested in less than one third of the HEMS organizations. Conclusions The majority of the HEMS organizations in Europe are able to provide different POCUS protocols in their services. The most used POCUS protocols were eFAST, FATE and RUSH. Despite the enthusiasm for POCUS, comprehensive training and clear credentialing processes are not available in about two thirds of the European HEMS organizations. Due to several limitations of this survey further studies are needed to evaluate POCUS in HEMS.

The article deals with the choice of Spanish forms of address on online web stores. It focuses on the choice between informal (tú/vos) and formal address (usted), studied empirically using a corpus created with Google searches.  In the context of an online web store, the aim is to build enough confidence in the potential buyer so that they end up buying the product offered even when the seller is not physically present and the customer does not have an opportunity to examine the product. Moreover, payment is done online, which often involves certain risks.  Both tuteo/voseo and ustedeo include elements aimed at building confidence in the potential customer, though from different perspectives. When the customer is addressed with tú/vos, the aim is to build confidence including a nuance of familiarity in the sales discourse. By contrast, ustedeo includes nuances of politeness and formality, and conveys the hidden message that since the online web store addresses the customer in a correct and respectful manner, the same good practices also extend to purchase situations.  The article presents results and conclusions related to the following research questions:  the general features of the use of forms of address on online web stores; the forms of address on the online web stores in the 21 Spanish-speaking countries of the world; the forms of address in Spanish texts on US online web stores, and pages on which the potential customer is addressed with usted.

Sektor Pariwisata menjadi sangat penting untuk diperhatikan guna menunjang peningkatan kualitas hidup bagi daerah tujuanwisata. Kabupaten Kerinci dikenal sebagai surganya Pariwisata Provinsi Jambi, hampir 75% objek wisata di Provinsi Jambi berada diKabupaten Kerinci, hal ini sekaligus menjadikan Kabupaten Kerinci sebagai Branding Pariwisata Provinsi Jambi. Namun dengandemikian penetapan Kabupaten Kerinci sebagai branding Pariwisata Provinsi Jambi belum disertai dengan peningkatan kualitaspengelolaan pengembangan pariwisata. Terutama pada disiplin ilmu Brand Visual Identity yang dewasa ini tengah mengalamiperkembangan trend yang sangat pesat di berbagai wilayah di Indonesia maupun negara di dunia. Perancangan Brand Visual Identityini bertujuan untuk menaikkan popularitas pariwisata Kabupaten Kerinci agar lebih dikenal dan sekaligus menjadikan daya tarik bagipara wisatawan lokal, regional, nasional, maupun internasional. Perancangan ini menggunakan metode 4D (Define, Design, Develop,and Disseminate). Tahap pertama dengan mencari sebanyak mungkin definisi-definisi istilah yang akan digunakan dalam perancanganuntuk menambah wawasan perancang, lalu melakukan teknis perancangan, dengan menggunakan media manual dan digital, setelah itudikembangkan menjadi beberapa alternatif pilihan agar sesuai dengan apa yang dikehendaki target sasaran, dan yang terakhir tahappenyebar luasan atau publishing. Tahap ini bisa menggunakan media offline (media luar ruang) maupun media online (web, aplikasi,dan media sosial). Capaian dari perancangan ini supaya Kabupaten Kerinci relevan sebagai penyandang Branding Pariwisata ProvinsiJambi.
