The brain is organized into a broad set of functional neural networks. These networks and their various characteristics have been described and scrutinized through in vivo resting state functional magnetic resonance imaging (rs-fMRI). While the basic properties of networks are generally similar between healthy individuals, there is vast variability in the precise topography across the population. These individual differences are often lost in population studies due to population averaging which assumes topographical uniformity. We leveraged precision brain mapping methods to establish a new open-source, method-flexible set of probabilistic functional network atlases: the Masonic Institute for the Developing Brain (MIDB) Precision Atlas. Using participants from the Adolescent Brain Cognitive Development (ABCD) study, single subject precision maps were generated with two supervised network-matching procedures (template matching and non-negative matrix factorization), as well as an unsupervised community detection algorithm (Infomap). We demonstrate that probabilistic network maps generated for two demographically-matched groups of n~3000 each were nearly identical, both between groups (Pearson r >0.999) and between methods (r=0.96), revealing both regions of high invariance and high variability. Compared to using parcellations based on groups averages, the MIDB Precision Atlases allowed us to derive a set of brain regions that are largely invariant in network topography and provide more reproducible statistical maps of executive function brain-wide associations. We explore an example use case for probabilistic maps, highlighting their potential for use in targeted neuromodulation. The MIDB Precision Atlas is expandable to alternative datasets and methods and is provided open-source with an online web interface to encourage the scientific community to experiment with probabilistic atlases and individual-specific topographies to more precisely relate network phenomenon to functional organization of the human brain.

The reaction between 1-methyl-5-nitro-1,2,4-triazome and a concerted bifunctional О-nucleophile – diaminoglyoxime was explored herein. The starting substrate was shown to engage into the SNipso-substitution of the nitro group by the О-nucleophile hydroxyls to furnish a bioactive compound whose single molecule combines different-type pharmacophoric moieties – 1,2,4-triazole heterocycles and NH2groups. The process came amid competitive reactions to form triazolone and a product from its subsequent reaction with the starting substrate. The PASS Online web-resource was used to perform computer-aided screening, demonstrating that the starting substrate and the reaction products can serve as potential pharmaceutical substances.

Research indicated that emotions experienced in relation to the climate crisis are important predictors of environmental attitudes and behaviours. However, the affective milieu is changing rapidly over the years along with the change in societal appraisal. Thus, more research is required to identify the relevant emotional drives and their contextual impact on governance scenarios. Here we presented respondents with three sets of proposed United Kingdom policies which differ by their extent of reformative aspiration. In a cross-sectional online web survey, respondents (n=260) rated their support (or opposition) for the Conservative Government’s manifesto, the Climate and Ecology Bill (CEE Bill) and the Green New Deal.We asked if distinct emotions linked to the emergency predict the type of policy support, if policy support mediates the relationship between emotions and active engagement (i.e., number of advocacy actions), and if the degree of engagement predicts the type of policy support.Using a combination of linear mixed models and mediation analysis, we found that respondents who reported higher levels of anxiety and worry were generally more prone to support environmental policies. Only respondents who reported the greatest intensity of disappointment were more likely to support the CEE bill. The support expressed for the CEE policies mediated the relationship between active engagement and both worry and disappointment, respectively. Finally, greater active engagement accounted for greater CEE bill support. Our findings dovetail with previous literature and provide new insights into the analysis of the complex relationship between emotions, policy support, and environmental advocacy.

Abstract The evolution of webs from web of documents to a web of data allows machines to read and connect structured data on the Web, known as Linked Data. This enables machine learning to use linked data in ways that were previously thought to be impossible to do. Machine learning and linked data research are relatively thoughtless. As a result, the primary goal of this research is to present ARQL, an extension of SPARQL 1.1 and to cluster Linked Data derived from online web sources. We provide state of the art ARQL features to allow machine to directly query from online RDF, JSON-LD or JSON API. Here we describe how ARQL web service is used to query Web of Data development and generalization of SPARQL federated query, two initial steps for the development of halal food mobile application tied up with ARQL.
