Three levels of planning can be distinguished in grassland farming: strategic, tactical and operational. The purpose of strategic planning is to achieve a sustainable long-term fit of the farm business with its physical, social and financial environment. In pastoral farming, this essentially means developing plans that maximise and best match pasture growth with animal demand, while generating sufficient income to maintain or enhance farm resources and improvements, and attain personal and financial goals. Strategic plans relate to the whole farm business and are focused on the means to achieve future needs. They should be routinely (at least annually) reviewed and monitored for effectiveness through key performance indicators (e.g., Economic Farm Surplus) that enable progress toward goals to be measured in a timely and cost-effective manner. Failure to link strategy with control is likely to result in unfulfilled plans. Keywords: management, performance

Abstract Effective corporate governance is a key element in achieving long-term success for any company. The codes of conduct that corporate governance adopts directly determine the sustainability of business activities. With this in mind, this paper aims to demonstrate the results of research that identifies a set of key indicators of corporate governance performance. The presented research is quantitative. In order to identify key performance indicators, factor analysis was employed. It was found that corporate governance performance is influenced by two factors. For the first factor, the relationship between corporate governance and stakeholders is measured by key indicators: percentage of women within CG, contributions to political parties, politicians and related institutions and number of complaints received from stakeholders. The second factor, strategy & compliance, is generated from the following: percentage of strategic objectives met and total number of sanctions for breaching the law. This research aims to assist both academic and corporate practitioners who want to improve corporate governance performance and, through the use of key performance indicators, support the transparency and sustainability of their business.

Within the current context, the Intellectual Capital has been unveiled as one of the Key drivers for companies’ long-term profitability and sustainability. This paper proposes a new methodology using Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) from the Balanced Scorecard of a Manufacturing Company to confirm the impact of Learning and Development Programs in the actual performance of the organization. Statistical Multivariate and Multiple Regression techniques are applied as a systemic approach using KPIs to firstly analyze and confirm the impact of Learning Development and secondly to design the best strategy for short term financial results and long term sustainability. The proposed methodology was applied in a Manufacturing Company to confirm its validity in practical terms.

Even though aviation is perceived as safe means of transport, it is still struggling with its complexity given by long-term growth and robustness which it has reached today. Thus nowadays safety issues are much more complex and harder to handle than ever before. We are more and more concerned about organizational factors and control mechanisms which have potential to further increase level of aviation safety. Within this paper we will not only introduce the concept of Key Performance Indicators in area of aviation safety as an efficient control mechanism, but also analyse available legislation and documentation. Finally we will propose complex set of indicators which could be applied to Czech Air Navigation Service Provider.</span>

This paper presents a baseline roadmap for the evolution of 5G new radio over the next decade. Three timescales are considered, namely short-term (2022-ish), medium-term (2025-ish), and long-term (2030-ish). The evolution of the target key performance indicators (KPIs) is first analyzed by accounting for forecasts on the emerging use cases and their requirements, together with assumptions on the pace of technology advancements. The baseline roadmap is derived next by capturing the top-10 and next the top-5 technology trends envisioned to bring significant added value at each timescale. Being intrinsically predictive, our proposed baseline roadmap cannot assert with certainty the values of the target KPIs and the shortlisting of the technology trends. It is, however, aimed at driving discussions and collecting feedback from the wireless research community for future tuning and refinement as the 5G evolution journey progresses.

Organization efficiency is a pivotal paradigm for an organization’s profitability in short-term cycles and long-term sustainability as a responsible stakeholder of a society. Measurement of organizational efficiency primarily depends on tracking the performance of the organization based on key performance indicators established commonly and differently by sectors. Literature on measuring organizational efficiency is limited in quantity and qualitatively poor, specifically on organizations operating in the Middle East and the Arabian Gulf where specific culture and traditions take precedence. This paper brings about a comparative review on organizational efficiency models, measurements, and indicators based on international best practices and conduct a comparative analysis from the Qatari organizational context. The methodology involved in measuring and benchmarking organizational sustainability identify the “as is” state of organizational sustainability and efficiency in the organization. Identifying the best sustainability practices across peer organizations and equipping organizations with the appropriate tools and skills to implement the identified best practices to fill the efficiency gap is essential. Defining and benchmarking indicators with peer organizations help the management to understand the “as is” state of the organization and is the impetus for the advancement of short- and long-term sustainability goals. The key performance indicators and focal themes for air transport, electricity–public utility, oil and gas, retail banking, and steel manufacturing are compared and identified.

Organizations are facing an uncertain scenario due to business dynamics and the evolution of their technical terminology to adapt to new ways of competing in the environment, which requires assertive indicators to ensure permanence and success in the medium and long term of any company. Through the use of KPIs, organizations have the opportunity to analyze and monitor relevant information from their company to make the operations of a company's sales area more efficient. The objective of this study is to propose a set of key performance indicators (KPI's) that allow the performance of a company dedicated to the activity of commercialization and manufacture and import of cleaning products to be measured, which is analyzed using the monetary variables of units or percentages. For the development of the investigation, Microsoft SQL Server was used as technological tools for the creation of the data model, and for the design, construction and analysis of the KPIs, the BSC Designer tool was used.
