Current thinking in several disciplines (organisational economics, sociology, psychology)about organisations is starting to converge. Organisations are no longer considered a blackbox, adapting to the economic environment as will-less objects. There is a role to play formanagers to choose the right organisational model. There is still some confusion in theresearch field regarding which organisational model will be most suited for future societaldemands. Workplace Innovation is positioned as a solution, not only stressingorganisational performance, but also delivering better quality of work. This article proposesa research agenda to help this positioning.

A study was carried out to identify differences in training of resident physicians in the specialties: Management and Economics of Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Technology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Pharmacognosy and under the specialist’s program Pharmacy and to explore the possibilities of granting pharmacy workers the right to transit from one specialty to another without compulsory completion of residency. The urgency of this article is associated with a large number of issues that are being faced by pharmacists who transit from one specialty to another. An analysis of the age and occupational structure of pharmacists improving their qualifications (2300 people) was conducted in the Irkutsk region and the Trans-Baikal Territory. The results of the study showed that it seems like a good idea not to associate the transition from one specialty to another with the obligatory completion of residency, but to provide an admission to work as a pharmacist-technologist after initial accreditation, taking into account the specifics of the work of pharmaceutical specialists in pharmacies, the need to ensure the interchangeability of workers and reduce staff turnover without falling off in quality of work.

This article is the first in a series to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the ILR Review. We will be highlighting important research themes that have been featured in the journal over its many years of publication. In this article, Paul Osterman reviews research on the quality of jobs and recent debates over “High Road” and “Low Road” approaches to employment practices. Scholars and policy advocates frequently utilize the distinction between High Road and Low Road firms as a framework for efforts to improve the quality of work in low-wage employers. This article assesses the logic and evidence that underlies this construct. The author provides a definition of the concept and examines the evidence behind the assumption that firms have a choice in how they design their employment policies. He then takes up the assertion that firms that adopt a High Road model can “do well by doing good” and adds precision to this claim by reviewing the evidence that a profit-maximizing firm would benefit from following the High Road path. The article concludes by suggesting a research agenda and providing a framework for policy that flows from the conclusions drawn from the existing research base.

In the light of the findings of the research, the researcher came out with a set of Among the recommendations that the decision-makers can make use of at Tikrit University is that improving the quality of the work in its psychological, social and natural dimensions constitutes a social, moral and moral responsibility for the organizations, and that the level of efficiency of the organization in carrying this responsibility can be reflected in tangible results on the Organization's efforts in terms of growth and prosperity And adapting to environmental requirements. The success of the organization in creating the right quality of work life can help it to unleash the capacity of its working members to achieve the goal of increasing productivity in quantity and quality. The current trends of organizations are no longer dependent solely on investment in good capital and modern technology but rather on changes in work in terms of content and dimensions.

This paper argues the case that the acceptance by UK government bodies of current thinking on educational theory, and a widespread student attitude towards learning that focuses on future employability but that also in a sense forsakes the very notion of study, together threaten to undermine the quality of graduate which employers have the right to expect. It would seem that the UK government is intending to compel the higher education sector, by means of selective funding but also backed by public pressure, to provide an education for its students more transparently relevant to the workplace. Academics and employers alike should seriously consider the negative implications of this policy, even if, realistically, it is unlikely that the forces driving it can be resisted.

I would like to thank the editor for the place and possibility to write a brief contribution to the problematic of supervisors. I know it is possible to write about this topic more than one page. Here, only a very short kind of information is presented toward this problem and maybe in the future, it will be possible to read more about this. The right supervisor is one of the most important persons in the life of a PhD student. This cooperation aims to the quality of work (about the quality, I do not want to write, because this concept is very abstract and in the eyes of every person it means something else), next it influences the awareness, what the research work means. This relationship has an influence on the future life of students, as personal to work. We will be talking about the work life of the student. We can meet different types of supervisors, probably the worst one is the one, who has got students only for his own benefit (financial support – it depends on the country; the necessity for the next academic degree; publication purposes; students’ work on the department; etc.). In this case students are dependent on their own skills and help from the others, except the supervisor.

Lithuanian economy survives a recession, business is increasingly difficult to operate in the Lithuanian market. One of the first who suffered the consequences of the economic recession is construction business pushing into difficulties business-related businesses and residents. Due to economic downturn the prices of the construction decreased, consumer spending power diminished, bank lending conditions became tighter, which further undercut the market for construction services. Economic growth has changed the attitude of the population to a warm home, quality of the construction. Although thermography used in the construction industry allows construction companies to ensure their quality of work, people find their homes of poor thermal insulation, moisture retention and more effective to plan for repairs, to check the quality of work carried out by builders and trou-bleshooting to save heat energy and reduce heating costs, but demand for thermography was not great. It is therefore important to find out how the socio-economic environment influences the business of thermography, whether the socio-economic environment al-lows it to develop, or, otherwise, whether it is becoming a threat, reducing the demand for thermography. The aim of this paper is to explore the socio-economic impact on the business environment of thermography business. The methods used in the study were: scientific literature review, secondary data analysis, questionnaire, interview, comparison, clustering methods, PESTLE analysis. The business environment of thermography business can be defined as the business envi-ronment including the global environment and macro environmental factors which affect the entire business, affect success or failure of a business and which the company could not control, and micro-factors that directly affect the company and which the company could influence. The interaction of Lithuanian social and economic environments makes opportunities and threats for thermography business. The poor economic situation influ-ences increasing unemployment, therefore the consumer purchasing power reduces and the incentive to emigrate increases, thus reducing the market of thermography business. As well as the economic situation of the country results in the construction sector in its production decline and increase in bankruptcies of construction companies seeking ways to cost reduction, which reduces the market of thermography business. But the need to save energy, the desire to live in warm housing is still a small possibility of market growth, even in crisis conditions.
