Natural language processing (NLP) area of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has offered the scope to apply and integrate various other traditional AI fields. While the world was working on comparatively simpler aspects like constraint satisfaction and logical reasoning, the last decade saw a dramatic shift in the research. Now large-scale applications of statistical methods, such as machine learning and data mining are in the limelight. At the same time, the integration of this understanding with Computer Vision, a tech that deals with obtaining information from visual data through cameras will pave way to bring the AI enabled devices closer to a layman also. This paper gives an overview of implementation and trend analysis of such technology in Sales and ServiceSectors.

In today’s world, computer technologies have advanced a lot. One of its greatest gifts to the world is Artificial Intelligence. Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Machine Learning (ML) are two of its subdomains. In this paper, modified versions of two common NLP and ML algorithms have been used to classify food reviews and provide suitable recommendations from them. Currently, reviews can be classified into positive and negative reviews, but it becomes difficult when one review says positive about item A and negative about item B. Moreover, the current Apriori algorithm doesn’t consider the feedbacks from customers (reviews). Modified classifier algorithm and consequently, modified Apriori algorithm has been used to classify each statement part by part and provide recommendations, not just on previous purchases but also using the reviews about above-mentioned purchases. The algorithms can be used for purposes other than food analysis also – wherever purchases and reviews are involved. For e.g., e-commerce companies can use the algorithms to predict and recommend suitable items a user may be interested in.

The use of naturalistic stimuli, such as narrative movies, is gaining popularity in many fields, characterizing memory, affect, and decision-making. Narrative recall paradigms are often used to capture the complexity and richness of memory for naturalistic events. However, scoring narrative recalls is time-consuming and prone to human biases. Here, we show the validity and reliability of using a natural language processing tool, the Universal Sentence Encoder (USE), to automatically score narrative recall. We compared the reliability in scoring made between two independent raters (i.e., hand-scored) and between our automated algorithm and individual raters (i.e., automated) on trial-unique, video clips of magic tricks. Study 1 showed that our automated segmentation approaches yielded high reliability and reflected measures yielded by hand-scoring, and further that the results using USE outperformed another popular natural language processing tool, GloVe. In study two, we tested whether our automated approach remained valid when testing individual’s varying on clinically-relevant dimensions that influence episodic memory, age and anxiety. We found that our automated approach was equally reliable across both age groups and anxiety groups, which shows the efficacy of our approach to assess narrative recall in large-scale individual difference analysis. In sum, these findings suggested that machine learning approaches implementing USE are a promising tool for scoring large-scale narrative recalls and perform individual difference analysis for research using naturalistic stimuli.

Recent years have witnessed the rising popularity of Natural Language Processing (NLP) and related fields such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML). Many online courses and resources are available even for those without a strong background in the field. Often the student is curious about a specific topic but does not quite know where to begin studying. To answer the question of “what should one learn first,”we apply an embedding-based method to learn prerequisite relations for course concepts in the domain of NLP. We introduce LectureBank, a dataset containing 1,352 English lecture files collected from university courses which are each classified according to an existing taxonomy as well as 208 manually-labeled prerequisite relation topics, which is publicly available 1. The dataset will be useful for educational purposes such as lecture preparation and organization as well as applications such as reading list generation. Additionally, we experiment with neural graph-based networks and non-neural classifiers to learn these prerequisite relations from our dataset.

The techniques of artificial intelligence include knowledgebased, machine learning, and natural language processing techniques. The discipline of investing requires data identification, asset valuation, and risk management. Artificial intelligence techniques apply to many aspects of financial investing, and published work has shown an emphasis on the application of knowledge-based techniques for credit risk assessment and machine learning techniques for stock valuation. However, in the future, knowledge-based, machine learning, and natural language processing techniques will be integrated into systems that simultaneously address data identification, asset valuation, and risk management.

Natural Language processing (NLP) dealing with Artificial Intelligence concept is a subfield of Computer Science, enabling computers to understand and process human language. Natural Language Processing being a part of artificial intelligence provides understanding of human language by computers for the purpose of extracting information or insights and create meaningful response. It involves creating algorithms that transform text in to words labeling With the emerging advancements in Machine learning and Deep Learning, NLP can contributed a lot towards health sector, education, agriculture and so on. This paper summarizes the various aspects of NLP along with case studies associated with Health Sector for Voice Automated System, prediction of Diabetes Millets, Crop Detection technique in Agriculture Sector.

The objective of this paper is to build a Web Application based on Virtual voice and chat Assistant. The current study focuses on development of voice and text/chat bot specifically. It is specially being built for people who feel depressed and insists them to talk open mindedly which in turn pacifies them. As the name of the application suggests, App: An application to pacify people and make them as happy as a cat would be with his or her mother (the reason why a cat purrs). We will be using Dialog flow for the application design and Machine Learning as a part of Artificial Intelligence for Natural Language Processing (NLP), an easiest way to use Machine Learning libraries. At the back-end we will be using a database to store the communication history between the user and the bot. This application will only work on devices with Web operating system version-5.0 and above.

Until recently, human behavioral data from reading has mainly been of interest to researchers to understand human cognition. However, these human language processing signals can also be beneficial in machine learning-based natural language processing tasks. Using EEG brain activity for this purpose is largely unexplored as of yet. In this paper, we present the first large-scale study of systematically analyzing the potential of EEG brain activity data for improving natural language processing tasks, with a special focus on which features of the signal are most beneficial. We present a multi-modal machine learning architecture that learns jointly from textual input as well as from EEG features. We find that filtering the EEG signals into frequency bands is more beneficial than using the broadband signal. Moreover, for a range of word embedding types, EEG data improves binary and ternary sentiment classification and outperforms multiple baselines. For more complex tasks such as relation detection, only the contextualized BERT embeddings outperform the baselines in our experiments, which raises the need for further research. Finally, EEG data shows to be particularly promising when limited training data is available.

Applications in the field of machine learning and artificial intelligence have been in great demand over the recent decade. Now it has various applications in the field of health industry. With the help of machine learning algorithm prediction of diseases has been made easier. Now doctors can concentrate only on treatment with the help of technology. Technology is accelerating innovations in the healthcare domain which has increased people’s standard of living over the years. Here in our project we are making a healthcare chatbot with help of Natural language processing and machine learning algorithm to predict disease. User interacts with the chatbot just like one interacts with his doctor and based on the symptoms provided by users and the chatbot will identify the symptom and predict the disease.

At present, the convergence of several areas of knowledge has led to the design and implementation of ICT systems that support the integration of heterogeneous tools, such as artificial intelligence (AI), statistics and databases (BD), among others. Ontologies in computing are included in the world of AI and refer to formal representations of an area of knowledge or domain. The discipline that is in charge of the study and construction of tools to accelerate the process of creation of ontologies from the natural language is the ontological engineering. In this paper, we propose a knowledge management model based on the clinical histories of patients (HC) in Panama, based on information extraction (EI), natural language processing (PLN) and the development of a domain ontology. Keywords: Knowledge, information extraction, ontology, automatic population of ontologies, natural language processing.
