Developing School Information Program

This research aims to develop a student data management system at 9 Tapung Junior High School (SMP) Negeri 9 Tapung, which has not documented using a computer or school web using text-based programming languages like HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and PHP. The student information system design at SMP Negeri 9 Tapung in its manufacture uses a literacy methodology where each phase can be carries repeatedly until it gets the desired results. The phase of system manufacture is the investigation, analysis, design, and implementation. To make this application, the author uses PHP and MySQL. This development research results create a student information system application that can display school data, student data, which graphics form, and its development, including data on the development of honesty and discipline. The system also displays the student interests and talents observed, extracurricular activities, student violations, and achievement. This application still needs development, refinement, the addition of features, and suggestions, and criticism from all related parties to create a better and structured information system to improve the quality and character of SMP Negeri 9 Tapung.

Abstract The Islamic Boarding School Tahfidz Adh Dhuhaa needs an information system specifically to overcome problems related to the management of SPP payments for students that are increasing every year. So far, the management of Santri SPP payments is done by inputting payment data with the Microsoft Excel application so that it still often experiences obstacles when searching for data and providing Santri SPP payment reports. Because of that, it is needed a web-based payment information system for students-based SPP in order to facilitate the treasurer of the Islamic Boarding School Tahfidz Adh Dhuhaa in managing the SPP payment. The SPP Santri Payment Information System includes management of student data, monthly SPP payment data, and producing a report. With this system, it is hoped that it will be easier for treasurers of the Islamic Boarding School Tahfidz Adh Dhuhaa to manage students' tuition payment data easily and quickly. Keywords: Student, Information System, Educational Support Contribution, Waterfall Model Abstrak Pesantren Tahfidz Adh Dhuhaa membutuhkan sebuah sistem informasi khususnya untuk mengatasi permasalahan yang terkait dengan pengelolaan pembayaran SPP para santri yang semakin bertambah setiap tahunnya. Selama ini pengelolaan pembayaran SPP Santri dilakukan dengan menginput data pembayaran dengan aplikasi microsoft excel sehingga masih sering mengalami kendala pada saat mencari data dan memberikan laporan pembayaran SPP santri. Karena itu dibutuhkan Sistem Informasi Pembayaran SPP santri berbasis web agar dapat mempermudah bendahara Pesantren Tahfidz Adh Dhuhaa dalam mengelolah pembayaran SPP tersebut. Sistem Informasi Pembayaran SPP santri ini meliputi pengelolaan data santri, data pembayaran SPP setiap bulan, sampai menghasilkan sebuah laporan. Dengan adanya sistem tersebut di harapkan dapat mempermudah bendahara Pesantren Tahfidz Adh Dhuhaa dalam melakukan pengolalaan data pembayaran SPP santri dengan mudah dan cepat. The strategic planning of developing any information system is the key factor of progress any organization. Hence, SWOT (Strength, weakness, opportunities and threats) analysis for the strategic planning of developing information system has proved to be a good analysis tool for further development and progress of the universities/organization. Further, the implementation of computerized student information management system has become an important issue within the university campus to exchange such information between students and staff. Many studies have developed student information system through the converting of paper-based system to computer-based system in order to facilitate the work of staff. However, none of these studies focused on the development of such systems based on the strategic planning using SWOT technique. Therefore, this research focuses on the requirements needed to develop student information system based on the aforementioned strategic planning technique. Some universities located in the Kurdistan Region, Iraq have been tacking to do the investigation. Moreover, SWOT technique was selected to find strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of developing such system. The findings of this research were processed as matching strengths with opportunities and converting weaknesses or threats to strengths or opportunities. Based on the results, it has been found that the need to address student information systems is of utmost importance now more than ever in order to survive and continue in the competition environment.
