By discovering and assessing articles in social sciences, this research explores the various aspects of current extracurricular activities research to further understand the knowledge base of this topic. The primary purpose of this study is to analyse the last 20 years of extracurricular activities research published in the Scopus database. VOSviewer software was used to perform bibliometric analysis such as co-occurrence, bibliographic coupling and co-authorship. Microsoft Excel was utilised to generate the tables and graphs in this paper. The analysis resulted in some interesting information which includes the steady growth of publications in extracurricular activities research that strongly indicates that it is still a trending topic and worth to be explored further. The Journal of Youth and Adolescence and the United States of America are the top journal and country that have contributed to this field of research, respectively. The analysis shows that the author key concepts are changing proportionally and apart from academic accomplishment and social capital that remain as the foci of interest, the adolescence developments is increasingly significant for future extracurricular activities research as well. This study also highlights the collaborative research networks of extracurricular activities among the authors across the globe. Consequently, it provides the opportunity to build networks among multiple countries that have significantly contributed to this area of research globally. As this is one of the initial Scopus databased bibliometric literature review on extracurricular activities, its contributions are not only on addressing the conceptual or contextual gaps for researchers that are interested in this discipline, but hopefully it will also be able to highlight some prospective areas that could be further explored in the near future.

Introduction/Main Objectives: This study presents a bibliometric analysis of good governance research publications from the Scopus database from 1984 to 2020. Background Problems: Since ​​good governance has an essential and central role in organizations, the research trends on good governance in the literature need to be revealed. Novelty: To the best of our knowledge, bibliometric analysis for the term good governance is not yet available. This paper aims to fill in the gap by providing a broad overview of the bibliometric analysis of the literature relating to this term. Research Methods: Good governance is used as a keyword in the titles of articles taken from the Scopus database on November 4, 2020. There were 1,954 documents analyzed. Microsoft Excel is used for frequency analysis, the VOSviewer app is used for the data’s visualization, and Harzing's Publish or Perish is used for citation metrics and analysis. Finding/Results: The results showed an increase in the growth rate of good governance literature from 1984 to 2020, particularly since 2011. Conclusion: Research related to corporate governance has involved various authors, and is published in various languages. There are 159 authors from 123 countries and 160 institutions. The United States is the most significant contributor to this study, followed by the United Kingdom and Indonesia. The International Review of Administrative Sciences has published the most papers on good governance. Our findings indicate that studies on good governance are mostly carried out in the field of social sciences.

Background: Citation analysis reflects the scientific recognition and influential performance of a published article within its field. We aim to identify the top 100 most-cited articles on astrocytoma using this bibliometric analysis method. Methods: In May 2020, we performed a thorough search in the Scopus database using the word “Astrocytoma.” The top 100 most-cited articles were arranged based on citation count in descending order. The resultant articles were then analyzed with an assessment of pertinent factors. Results: The most-cited articles on astrocytoma had been cited 23,720 times. The top-cited article received a total of 682 citations, with an average of 34.1 citations annually. The list comprised eight clinical trials, in which the highest cited article received 625 citations. Articles were published from 1975 to 2015 with the 1995–2005 era as the most prolific period. Neuropathology studies were the most studied category, followed by clinical studies. The United States of America was the most significant contributor, with 49 published articles. The University of California San Francisco was the most contributing institution by producing 11 articles. Articles were published in 32 different journals led by the Cancer Research Journal, with a total of 12 publications. Approximately 160 authors contributed to the list in which Scheithauer, B.W. contributed the most with a total of eight articles. Conclusion: This report clustered the most impactful articles on astrocytoma. It serves as an adequate tool to identify publication trends and helps in achieving evidence-based clinical practice.

All published articles related to “Nickel-based orthopaedic implants” from “Scopus”, were analyzed using the VOS viewer to develop analysis tables and visualization maps. This article had set the objective to consolidate the scientific literature regarding “Nickel-based orthopaedic implants” and also to find out the trends related to the same. The most active journals in this research domain were the Journal of Orthopaedic Research and Biomaterials. The most active country was the United States of America. The leading organization engaged in research regarding knee implants was the City University of Hong Kong. The most active authors who had made valuable contributions related to orthopaedic implants were Chu. P.K.

En Estados Unidos el avance del envejecimiento de la población blanca es tal que ya se expresa en importantes déficits de población en edades activas y reproductivas. En este contexto, la inmigración latinoamericana ha permitido cubrir estos desequilibrios aportando, por un lado, los volúmenes de población necesarios para mantener los niveles de reproducción demográfica y, por otro, proveyendo los contingentes de fuerza de trabajo requeridos para mantener el dinamismo económico. Sin embargo, este sistema de complementariedad demográfica no está exento de tensiones y contradicciones. La masividad de la migración, como su mayor natalidad y fecundidad, pueden derivar en una situación donde la tradicional primacía de la población blanca pudiera verse cuestionada por el crecimiento de la población de origen latino. Las más recientes proyecciones demográficas indican un avance en ese sentido. En este artículo documentamos esta situación. AbstractIn the United States the aging of the white population is already generating significant demographic deficits, specially in population in active and reproductive ages. In this context, Latin American immigration has helped to cover these imbalances by providing, on the one hand, the volumes needed to maintain population levels of demographic re-production, while providing contingent workforce needed to maintain economic dynamism. However, this demographic complementarity is not absent from tensions and contradictions. Large volumes of migration with their higher levels of birth and fertility, could lead in the near future to a situation where the traditional primacy of the white population could be challenged by the growth of the Latino population. Recent population projections indicate a step in that direction. In this article we document this situation using official statistics of the Census Bureau of the United States.
