This article discusses strategies for increasing the vocabulary of university students. Knowledge the value of students' vocabulary skills and understanding in order to assist student abilities in all elements of the English language The purpose of producing this essay is to improve one's ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Skills such as listening, speaking, reading, understanding, and writing are all mentioned. This is because the four abilities are one and the same entity; we cannot separate them, yet they may be recognized from one another.

The receptive knowledge of 442 non-English major university students in a General English program in Vietnam was measured with Webb, Sasao, and Ballance’s (2017) New Vocabulary Levels Test. It was found that despite 10 years of formal English language instruction, nearly half of the participants had not mastered the most frequent 1,000 words and more than 90% had not mastered the most frequent 2,000 words. The study calls for more attention to high-frequency words in English language instruction in Vietnamese EFL context.

هدفت الدراسة الحالية إلى قياس فعالية تقنية بلاك بورد في دمج مهارتي القراءة ‏والكتابة باللغة الإنجليزية لطلاب الجامعة السعوديين. اشتملت الدراسة على 40 ‏طالبًا وطالبة تم اختيارهم بطريقة عشوائية من جامعة القصيم. اعتمد التصميم ‏التجريبي على نظام المجموعة الواحدة. بعد تطبيق الاختبار القبلي, درست ‏المجموعة التجريبية باستخدام النموذج المقترح بالاعتماد على الاستراتيجية ‏المقترحة القائمة على استخدام تقنية بلاك بورد، والهادفة إلى دمج مهارتي القراءة ‏والكتابة, بعدها تم تطبيق الاختبار البعدي. وأوضح التحليل الإحصائي وجود ‏فروق دالة إحصائيًا بين متوسطات درجات الطلاب في التطبيقين القبلي والبعدي ‏للاختبار لصالح التطبيق البعدي. ولم توجد فروق دالة إحصائيًا بين متوسطات ‏البنين والبنات في المجموعة التجريبية في التطبيق البعدي للاختبار. ‏

On Literature and Grammar gives students and instructors a carefully thought experience to combine their learning of Middle and Early Modern English and Medieval and Renaissance English Literature. Fully annotated and written to answer the real needs of current Spanish university students, these teachable texts include word-by-word translations into Present Day English and precise introductions to their linguistic and literary contexts.

This study aims to determine the university students’ level of motivation in terms of different variables. A study group of this research has been designed through one of the non-random sampling methods, Using appropriate sampling, 606 students from Faculty of Education of C.U. have been involved in this study. Motivation scale in English Language Learning developed by Mehdiyev,Usta,Uğurlu (2015) was used as an instrument of data collection. T-test and one - way analysis of variance (ANOVA) were used to resolve problems of this research. As a result of the research the motivation level of university students hasn’t been revealed significantly different regarding to the gender variable. However, considering the t-test results of motivation scale dimensions, confidence, attitude and personal use, significant difference is seen in favour of women in personal use dimension. The level of language learning motivation of female students is higher than men’s regarding to personal use dimension. However, men’s and women’s views don’t differ significantly in attitude and confidence dimensions. University students don’t present significant differences in terms of birth place, parent’s education level, total motivation scores and confident, attitude and personal dimensions. Students’ motivation levels are seen not to be influenced by the places such as village, provision or city where they have spent the most of their lifetime. At the same time the findings revealed that parental status variable in terms of primary, secondary and university graduates has no effects on students’ motivation.
