The article presents the results on the use of paracuneal bulbs for re-harvesting seeds in a direct crop. The influence of the orientation of uterine bulbs during planting on the formation of paracuneal bulbs and seed productivity in the second year of vegetation was determined. The paracuneal bulbs were developing at the base of the flower shoots maintaining the same orientation as in the uterine bulbs when planted. Winter hardiness of paracuneal bulbs depended on orientation, just as with standard technology. Losses during the winter period ranged from 48% to 82%, increasing with an increase in the angle of deviation from the vertical position. The most vulnerable bulbs were the upside down. Paracuneal bulbs can be used to re-harvest seeds in a two-yield crop.

Password authentication is one of essential services in our life for protecting data. In other words, we may loose a lot of money, sensitive data, etc., if passwords leak out. Thus, we have to understand clearly what is important for creating and/or changing passwords. Our goal is to analyze key issues for setting passwords. We surveyed 262 students of the University of Aizu, Japan. We discussed key security problems, main password protection issues and techniques, and misunderstandings about passwords by end users. Furthermore, we compared the obtained data with results provided by the National Institute of Standard Technology (NIST) and others. The results can help the users set stronger passwords.

We studied the use of the secondary cellulose and biodegradable polymeric film for soil mulching on the summer sowings of the melon variety Strelchanka. We noted the efficiency of the use of mulching material in levelling out the temperature fluctuations, protecting the root system of plants from overheating and in developing the favorable conditions for soil moistening. The analysis of the obtained results showed a significant increase in the productivity of melon fruits by 0.93 t/ha (+15.9 %) in comparison with the control variant, on which we used the standard technology. The mulching increased the accumulation of dry soluble substances in the flesh of melon fruits. The mulch from the secondary cellulose did not create any obstacles for carrying out agrotechnical measures for tillage after harvesting and removing the drip tape.
