The goal of this work is to study a new copolymer which combines the Ecbz properties and those Ant. First, we describe the route for preparing the new copolymer. Then, we report characterization measurements based on solid-state Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (CP-MAS 13C NMR), Raman, IR absorption, UV–visible absorption, photoluminescence spectroscopy, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), and X-ray diffraction.

Fe-doped TiO2nanotubes (Fe-TNTs) have been prepared by ultrasonic-assisted hydrothermal method. The structure and composition of the as-prepared TiO2nanotubes were characterized by transmission electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, and UV-Visible absorption spectroscopy. Their photocatalytic activities were evaluated by the degradation of MO under visible light. The UV-visible absorption spectra of the Fe-TNT showed a red shift and an enhancement of the absorption in the visible region compared to the pure TNT. The Fe-TNTs were provided with good photocatalytic activities and photostability and under visible light irradiation, and the optimum molar ratio of Ti : Fe was found to be 100 : 1 in our experiments.

Graphene was synthesized by microwave-hydrothermal chemical reduction of graphite oxide using hydrazine hydrate as the reducing agent. Graphene was characterized using X-ray diffraction, UV-visible spectrum, FT-IR spectrum and scanning electron microscopy. Results indicated that the as-prepared graphene was wrinkled and comprised fewer graphenes with a highly crystalline structure.

Cubic AgSbS2nanostructured flowers of nanorods were successfully synthesized by microwave-assisted refluxing of AgNO3, Sb(CH3COO)3, and L-cysteine (C3H7NO2S) dissolved in ethylene glycol at the pH of 4, characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and electron microscopy (EM). The 1.89 eV direct energy gap was determined by UV-visible absorption, including two 688 and 857 nm emission wavelengths by photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy. A possible formation mechanism of AgSbS2nanostructured flowers was also proposed according to the experimental results.

In this paper, we report a simple two-step approach (microwave-calcinating) to prepare skin-colored N-doped ZnO nanocrystals. X-ray diffraction (XRD), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and UV-visible absorption were used to characterize the as-synthesized products. The FESEM results reveal the products mainly take on the morphology of porous flake constructed by 20 nm nanoparticles. UV-Vis spectrum shows a strong absorption peak located at 384nm.

Cu2O/TNTs(Titanium-based Nanotubes) composites were prepared by a simple “soak-deoxidize” method by using hydrazine hydrate as the reducing agent. The Cu2O/TNTs composites particles was made by changing pH and the mol ratio of Cu2+:N2H4H2O. The obtained composites were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscope (TEM), UV-Vis Diffuse reflectance spectra(DRS). The results of UV-Vis diffuse reflectance spectra indicate that the absorption edge of Cu2O/TNTs shows a shift to visible-light region, followed by an obvious absorption peak at 500–700 nm.

Visible-light-responsive material based on Rhodium doped on titanium dispersed on dealuminated clinoptilolite (TiO2/HCP) was synthesized via a combination of the sol-gel method and photoreductive deposition technique. The photocatalyst surface characterization, structural and optical properties were investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy-dispersive X-ray analysis (EDAX), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA), and UV-visible spectra (UV-VIS). Doping TiO2/HCP with Rh imparts a red shifting of the absorption band into the visible light region according to UV-VIS. The prepared composite materials were evaluated for their photocatalytic activities on pentachlorophenol (PCP) degradation under sunlight irradiation. The Rhodium doped TiO2/HCP exhibited enhanced photocatalytic activity and can be considered as a potential photocatalyst in wastewater treatment.

The NiOx/Bi2WO6 photocatalyst with p-n heterojunction structure was synthesized. And the samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and UV-visible diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (UV-vis DRS). It was found that the RhB degradation rate with NiOx/Bi2WO6 was 1.62 times as great as that with the Bi2WO6 under visible light (λ>400 nm) by the photocatalytic measurements. The enhanced photocatalytic performance of the NiOx/Bi2WO6 sample was attributed to the improved separation efficiency of photogenerated hole-electron pairs generated by the p-n heterojunction between Bi2WO6 and NiOx.

Cu doped TiO2 at different metal loading was successfully prepared and investigated. Characterization of the prepared photocatalysts was carried out using X-ray diffraction (XRD), diffuse reflectance UVVis spectroscopy (DRUVVis) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Photodegradation study of aqueous diisopropanolamine solution (1000 ppm) using the prepared photocatalyst showed significant COD removal under visible light irradiation. The photocatalyst with 1.5 wt% Cu gave the highest COD removal of 45 %.
