Information and communication technology is a boon to modern society. It emerges with so many different ways to help the students in teaching and learning. But the question arises whether the students, especially of secondary grade, are using these ICT tools effectively? To find out, a study was carried out in Indore city, India. The study was a descriptive type with the sample size of 200 students of different secondary schools. The study was focused on the availability of ICT tools and its use by students other than school. A questionnaire is designed to collect the data.The study used various statistical techniques to analyze the data. Z-test, were used. Study concluded that the students have easy access to ICT tools outside the school but these tools are less used effectively for learning purpose as compared to other activities.

The development of information and communication technology is now a major effect on manyaspects of life, even human behavior and activities are now a lot depends on the information andcommunication technology. One example is the use of technology in teaching and learning, namely withthe game. The game is already familiar to the students. When students are lazy to read books whilestudying, they are cool to play games. Therefore, the author makes an effective solution in learning sothat they are not lazy to study. This game was designed with the concept of 2D so it can be run onsmartphones that have lower specs. To build this game, the author uses Unity 3D 5.4. So, students canlearn with pleasure and do not get bored while studying.

The third quarter of 2020 marks the closure of on-campus face-to-face pedagogies in South Africa’s institutions of higher learning due to Coronavirus disease (COVID-19). The need to maintain social distancing necessitated the transition to emergency remote teaching. A few institutions of higher learnings could move their classes effectively to online and distance education platforms because of their pre-existing experience and some grapple with managing the ‘new normal’. This article reflects on the challenges and opportunities of an emergency remote teaching in institutions of higher learnings during the COVID-19 pandemic. The article adopted a qualitative approach through relevant literature and policy reviews to critically analyse emergency remote teaching during the era of COVID-19. The findings indicate that some staff and students experience challenges related to the lack of resources and exposure to remotely use information and communication technology. The article acclaims that institutions of higher learnings should acquire suitable information and communication technology equipment and develop the requisite facilities, implement rules and regulations for their availability, and adequate maintenance. This recommends promoting technologically compliant ethics within the institution, provide easy access to teaching and learning by both students and academic staff at an affordable and fixed (secure) cost in safe, conducive, and unrestricted environments for students.

The purpose of online learning is for learners to be able to access their learning material remotely and teachers to be able to facilitate learning and teaching with the use of information and communication technology (ICT) in education. The research reported in this chapter introduced the limited use of ICT tools and resources for teaching and learning at a primary school based in Tsakane township and explored the policy and practice challenges for equality in terms of community engagement. The chapter will introduce the purpose of the research, as well as the objectives and research questions, and will then proceed to provide background in terms of a detailed literature review. This chapter will proceed to identify limitations and assumptions, outline the problem statement, as well as the research methodology used in the study, together with a discussion of the results collected towards solutions.

Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the teaching and learning process in general, the use of ICT in teaching writing skills in English as a Second Language (ESL) classrooms is very encouraging in the present scenario. This study attempts to seek findings on the use of ICT tools in the teaching of ESL writing skills in modern classrooms. The skill of writing is used on an everyday basis to communicate what one thinks and feels. This study, to find out how the use of technology enhances writing abilities in the classroom. New advancements of technology are being created each day and educators need to incorporate these technologies into modern classrooms. Emergence and integration of information and communication technology (ICT) in the global education system has significantly enhanced intelligible teaching and learning, particularly in the developing countries. Among the developing countries, Nigeria has equally integrated ICT in its educational system. While the information driven technology has little or no integration in the lower level of education, it is intensively integrated in the higher education system. Although the Nigerian education system lacks integration of robust ICT tools to support virtual and in learning, the installed basic ICT tools such as computers, multimedia projectors, process, and internet have greatly changed the face of the country's educational administration and teaching and learning from the traditional practice. Effective and efficient use of ICT are however affected by extrinsic and intrinsic barriers. The need to strengthen the ICT framework and deployment for a more robust teaching and learning process in the country's education system is emphasized.

Information and Communication Technology has changed instructional conveyance. Advancement recorded in information assembling, teaching, and learning collection has given teachers new devices to work with, subsequently the upheaval in the field of training. This study examined computer literacy among Science, Technology, and Mathematics (STM) instructors in Colleges of Education. Discoveries show that the degree of computer proficiency among STM instructors is low. The explanation behind this incorporates few available skillful instructors, insufficient ICT tools in schools, computer phobia, access to Personal Computers (PCs)/PC labs, and absence of ICT devices for STM training. Proposals were anyway made that will help improve the degree of proficiency among STM instructors.

In the last few decades, Information Technology has transformed the entire world into a village, known as Global Village, as proposed by Marshal McLuhan. ICT has increased its influence in every field like the education sector, defense sector, technology etc. In the 21st century, information and communication technology (ICT) has become an important and integral part of most educational organizations throughout the world.. The use of ICT in classroom teaching and learning processes has become indispensable as it gives teachers and learners the opportunity to operate, store, control and retrieve data in addition to promoting self-regulated and active learning. (Ali, Haolader & Muhammad, 2013) Today we are dependent on technology and the role of ICT is increasing day by day and is believed to be a new normal. Keeping that in view, the present paper attempts to examine the relationship between information and communication technologies (ICT) and student learning. This conceptual paper  is based on secondary information collected from different sources such as books, journal articles, newspapers, reports of various government organizations, non-governmental organizations and soon.
