<p>A large-amplitude impact-induced like electric field signal is often observed by the Radio and Plasma Wave (RPW) Instrument onboard Solar Orbiter. The signal has a sharp increase followed by an exponential decay, typically observed when spacecraft experiences a dust impact. The amplitude can reach several V/m. The impact dust size can be estimated from the electric field amplitude and is similar to the characteristic dust size near the sun expected from the zodiacal-light observations. On the other hand, the signal's decay time is the order of second, unusually long compared to the dust impact signals previously reported by the other spacecraft. We will show the characteristics of these signals and discuss the origin.</p>

Effects of electric field-amplitude and mechanical stress on hysteresis area were investigated in partially depoled hard PZT bulk ceramic. At any compressive stress, the hysteresis area was found to depend on the field-amplitude with a same set of exponents to the power-law scaling. Consequently, inclusion of compressive stresses into the power-law was also obtained in the form of < A – Aσ=0 > α E05.1σ1.19 which indicated the difference of the energy dissipation between the under-stress and stress-free conditions.

With the sun losing its glare and now appearing as a beautiful orange orb just above the distant horizon where the sky meets the sea, Barry O’Connor thought to himself, “This is as close to paradise as you can get.” Yet, the vast empty sea of white sand surrounding him told a very different story. It was July 17, 2020, and this beautiful area should have been overrun with college students and young families as they enjoyed their summer vacation. Instead, the executive order that came as a result of the COVID-19 epidemic four months earlier forced him to immediately close his four bars and six Caddy’s Waterfront Dining restaurants, laying off 600 employees and dashing his dreams of another lucrative season. Barry gazed at the beautiful sunset one more time before turning his thoughts to the monumental problem that faced him. While he agreed that the health and safety of his employees and loyal customers was paramount, he couldn’t help but feel the pang that losing a few million dollars a month brings. Now, as businesses began to reopen their doors in the face of new restrictions brought about by COVID, Barry was left to figure out how to navigate the uncharted landscape of new in-house capacity restrictions, everyone’s fear of contracting the virus, and the unknown of when this pandemic would end. All the while, Barry’s bar business was in shambles due to a second government shutdown of bars, which only added pressure on the Caddy’s brand to drive revenue and keep the other half of the business afloat. A potential solution loomed on the horizon, however. This Caddy’s location in Treasure Island had an extensive beach immediately outside its doors, which could expand its footprint, allowing an additional 450-500 customers to enjoy the Caddy’s experience in the safety of an outdoor arena. However, due to local government zoning restrictions, Caddy’s was not legally allowed to treat this area as a traditional restaurant setting. But Barry had become a self-made man because he understood that the nature of business was never static. He knew that the best way forward was to disregard the inconvenience of circumstances beyond his control, and instead pour his efforts into a search for the opportunities that always accompanied such impacts. But just what opportunities did the pandemic create? How could he best leverage technology to exploit them? How would he manage the impact of the changes on his customers and employees?

Data on real-time marketing performance from micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) selling their products in marketplace e-commerce corporations (MECCs) is a big challenge for researchers studying the performance of MECCs capital structure. This article explores the use of Google Trends to determine the impact of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) on MECCs’ performance. The findings of the trend analysis are explained using the N-OLI framework. It is found that there was a sharp trend decrease in MECCs with partial FDI (Tokopedia and Bukalapak) and full domestic investment (Blibli).On the other hand, there was a sharp increase in MECCs full FDI (Shopee). Other MECCs with full FDI, namely Lazada, has experienced a decrease but it is not as consistent as that of partial FDI. An increase trend in Shopee has negative correlation with a decline trend in Bukalapak. However, after being grouped, partial FDI has a significantly higher mean score compared to full FDI, and MECCs without FDI has the lowest mean score. This finding shows that in the case of Indonesia, FDI plays a role in encouraging the success of MSMEs, especially in MECCs, which have a combination of FDI and domestic investment.

The Z.L. experiment consists of 3 photometers which are mounted rigidly into the s/c with orientations of about 15°, 30° and 90° south of the s/c – XY-plane, which coincides in orbit with the ecliptic plane (see Fig.1). Helios is spinning uith 1 Hz, and the integration time of the experiment is 513 revolutions. The 90° – photometer always looks to the south ecliptic pole and one revolution of the s/c is divided into 8 sectors to get information on the polarization of Z.L. The polarization is measured by a fixed polaroid foil within the photometer which is rotated by the s/c. In the other two photometers one revolution is split into 32 sectors with different angular resolution. Near the antisun where the gradient in Z.L. intensity is small, the sector length is 4 times the length near the sun (see Fig.2). In these 2 photometers the polarization is obtained by 3 differently oriented polarization foils moved by stepping motors. Intensity and polarization of Z.L. is measured in 3 different colors, which are near the international UBV – system (Ažusienis and Straižs 1969), the effective wavelength shifted by about 100 Å to the blue end.
