An analysis of the impact of explosion hazards on the level of environmental safety of disposal and destruction of ammunition. An analysis of existing technologies of land reclamation that can be used for places of disposal and destruction of ammunition, and identified opportunities and limitations of their use. For the first time, a simulation model of the safety management system for land reclamation and ammunition destruction was created. During the development of the model, it is proposed to consider the parameters of the site of disposal and destruction of ammunition, which determine the parameters of explosion risk, and environmental quality indicators, as responses to the influence of factors of operation of the site of disposal and destruction of ammunition. Safety criteria are determined using a regulatory approach in three areas: current factors, explosion risk parameters and environmental quality indicators. The integrated safety criterion is defined as the highest value of all individual safety criteria.

The article is an attempt to present the two modern concepts of safety management systems. The first is the sunflower pyramid used especially in Europe, the second is the ISO 39001 standard (Road Safety Management System) of international scope. The idea and possibilities offered by use of both concepts of safety management, as well as an attempt to assess the impact of their actions on decrease in fatalities in selected EU countries, were presented. As a result of the conducted analyses, a downward trend was noted as to the number of certificates issued for compliance with the ISO 39001 standard in the world, which may indicate an appearance of the more adequate management systems, or other tools or concepts to improve the road safety, or inadequate education society and low level of awareness in this area of stakeholders, including politicians, scientists, producers, drivers (professional and reliable), as well as other road users, including unprotected ones.

The necessity of professional standards application in the organization’s personnel policy formation and remuneration system setting is discussed. It is specified that the professional standard can be used during certification of the worker upon examination a level of his knowledge. Invaluable assistance of professional standards during preparation of employment contracts is also noted. There is an opinion that professional standards are an addition to the unified job evaluation catalog, and should replace it over the long term. In connection with the stated topic, the labor protection specialist’s professional standard is considered in detail in this paper. It has been noted that the main purpose of this employee is assessment, decrease and even elimination the impact of harmful and dangerous production factors on workers. The whole complex of the most important issues in the safety management system has been considered. It is subject to problems related to both personal protective equipment, and providing of investigation and recording for accidents and occupational diseases. The requirements to the labor protection specialist’s education and training, experience of his practical work are discussed, as well as special conditions for permit-to-work. The importance of a special assessment for labor conditions has been highlighted in this paper. It is noted that one of the latest trends in the safety management system is a behavioral audit, representing a system for assessment and analysis of personnel’s unsafe actions at work. It is concluded that the professional standard is a characteristic of the qualification required for an employee to perform a certain type of activity. This standard should serve as a valuable reference point for vocational education’s aims. It is pointed out that the role of labor protection services and specialists is constantly increasing and requires even some elements of independence directly from employers. Such a process is supposed to be carried out in the form of an industry council on professional qualifications and centers for their evaluation.

Abstract The present paper aims at determining the impact of Food System Management ISO 22000 on Coca-Cola customer’s loyalty in Algeria through satisfaction as an intermediate variable. Based on a descriptive, analytical approach and a case study method, an electronic questionnaire was used as the main tool for data collection. It was distributed to a random sample of 385 customers at Coca Cola Company in Algeria. In addition, SPSS and AMOS programs were used to analyse the data and test the research hypotheses. The paper reached significant conclusions that the level evaluation of ISO 22000, in customers’ point of view, varied between a weak rate of green and safe products, while innovative and quality products were highly rated. The result also demonstrated a weak indirect effect between food safety management system and customer loyalty through satisfaction expressed by a correlation coefficient, which was estimated at 0.23. The direct effect was greater with a correlation coefficient of 0.56. In fact, the output of food safety management system leads directly to the saturation of customer satisfaction and also to loyalty.

ABSTRACT Background: The laboratory is important to conduct the experiments, investigations, and observations of various fields of scientific study. Chemical, physical, biological, and other potential hazards are inseparable with laboratory activities. However, potential hazards are avoidable with risk management through the implementation of the laboratory occupational health and safety management system. This study aimed to investigate the implementation of laboratory occupational health and safety management system aspects at the laboratory of Universitas Indonesia. Subjects and Method: This was a descriptive study conducted at the laboratory of Universitas Indonesia in 2020. The study informants were head and laboratorians. The study variables were 14 aspects of the implementation of occupational and environmental safety, with a total of 156 checklists. Universitas Indonesia developed the questions in the checklist in the form of closed questions. The data were analyzed by gap analysis and reported descriptively. Results: Laboratories at Universitas Indonesia implemented most of the occupational and environmental safety aspects. The gap analysis showed that there was a need for improvements in the implementation of some aspects, particularly operational control, inspection, and management review. Conclusion: Some aspect implementations still need to be improved, mainly in operational control, inspection, and management review.
