The increase in economic activity in the industrial sector and the rapid growth of the world population have stimulated an increase in energy demand. In 2004, Indonesia earned the status of a net importer of oil so that it becomes a challenge for the Indonesian government in developing the use of renewable energy to achieve ideal conditions for national energy security. Indonesia has the potential for large amounts of renewable energy sources, one of which is palm-based biodiesel. The mandatory biodiesel policy program was implemented in 2008 with a biodiesel content of 2.5% and gradually until 2019 with a biodiesel content of 30% (B30). The mandatory biodiesel policy is closely related to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and the concept of maintaining the balance of Trilemma Energi. The current energy management and utilization policies in Indonesia continue to increase in line with modern life consumption patterns that require a more environmentally friendly energy variable for energy absorption in Indonesia, especially renewable energy. The purpose of this research is to determine the integration model of palm-based biodiesel policy as a renewable energy commodity to support energy security. This study uses several strategic frameworks by combining a quantitative approach through the perspective of the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) and measuring the technology coefficient using the Technology Contribution Coefficient (TCC), as well as a qualitative approach with the Business Model Canvas (BMC) and the design of the Omnibus Law. Data were collected through Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and Expert Opinion (EO) which were validated by Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) using a sample of 40 respondents from related agencies. The results showed that based on the SEM-PLS validation of 20 BSC perspective variables, two invalid variables were obtained, namely the variable efficiency port service cost and value-added creation which had a P value> 0.05. Meanwhile, Indonesia's TCC score is quite high, namely 0.787, which means that Indonesia is quite aggressive in developing biodiesel and its policies. Based on the results of the FGD expert, it was obtained that the BMC initiates the helicopters to view current biodiesel developments. And 10 regulations have been drafted into a proposed draft Omnibus Law through an action plan.

This study assesses understanding of Risk, and extent of risk management practices in Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) taxpayers in Malawi, subsequently, investigates their relationship with financial performance and tax compliance. The study focuses on unlimited business sectors of SME taxpayers which drew a representation of our sample of 324 SMEs, using Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to analyze and test hypotheses. Results indicate that half of the SME taxpayers are aware of risks, but only 23% of respondents underwent any training on risk management. 90% of respondents revealed that tax rates are the most significant business constraint; value-added tax (VAT) being the most challenging tax to file. Most respondents identified risks through experience, with risk management practices centering on Chief Executive Officers. Empirical evidence on Path analysis and bootstrapping results established a significant relationship between understanding risks, risk management practices, financial performance and Tax compliance, which is positive, signaling a roadmap for risk mitigation if tax administration is to widen its SME tax net.

The development of environmentally friendly vehicles is currently a global trend among car manufacturers. This is in addition to being triggered by regulations from countries that have committed in the 2016 Paris agreement to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and save fossil-based fuels that will run out, considering that fossil fuels are a type of non-renewable natural resource. For this reason, the global automotive industry has begun to produce electric cars, which are referred to as renewable energy sources, and to reduce carbon emissions. Because this electric car is a new product, researchers are interested in knowing how someone is buying an electric car. One of the elements that influence a person's buying interest is the price. Besides the price, buying interest is also influenced by promotion. With the proper promotion, it can encourage people to buy. Therefore, this study wanted to examine the effect of price and promotion on buying interest mediated by brand image. Sampling using non-probability sampling and purposive sampling with criteria for the general public living in Jabodetabek who already have a car and can buy a car. Data analysis in this study used a Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) approach based on Partial Least Square. This study found that price, promotion, and brand image had a significant and positive effect on buying interest. Brand image mediates significantly and positively the relationship between price and promotion on purchase intention.

Research background: From time to time utilization of modern technology innovatively disrupts the industry, as is true for sharing economy companies such as Airbnb and Uber. These companies achieved global success with their platform-enabled businesses connecting the demand of individuals with underutilized resources of others. Besides the competitive prices enabled by controversial practices, they are widely criticized for, these companies attracted masses of customers, not only the price-sensitive ones. Relating to that, the recent marketing phenomenon of customer experience is aiming to help companies systematically understand the perception and resulting actions of customers, and to better manage their marketing mix to gain competitive advantage and increase overall performance. Purpose of the article: The purpose of this article is to explore the nature of customer experience in the area of sharing economy to better understand the importance of experiential factors the marketing metrics of sharing economy companies are driven by. Methods: The research is based on the pilot data collection through online and offline surveys and the subsequent partial least square structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) analysis of the data from 86 respondents. Findings & Value added: This paper provides insight into the area of sharing economy through the identification of the factors of needs fulfillment level (particularly social) and effective resource management during the customer experience as the ones with the positive effect (medium and weak-medium) on the memorized customer experience quality, while the human perception engagement is surprisingly found as the weak contributor. The memorized customer experience quality was found to have a medium positive effect on customer satisfaction which further has the medium-strong positive effect on the positive word-of-mouth and customer loyalty of customers of the sharing economy companies.

The objective of this study is to examine the relationship between behavioral constructs of business operatives and their attitudes toward implementation of the Value Added Tax (VAT) in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Data was collected using questionnaire survey for a sample of 189 business operators in the UAE. Path analysis using partial least square–structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) was utilized to analyze the research model, applying the technology acceptance model (TAM) with addition of challenges to reflect the unique behavioral attributes in the UAE. The findings of PLS-SEM reveal that challenges were the primary construct related to the business operatives’ attitudes for implementation of the VAT. However, preparedness was the least influential factor on the attitudes of business operatives regarding implementation of the VAT. Thus, these results reiterate the significance of the TAM in explaining the behavioral dynamic of business operatives for the implementation of the VAT.
