The purpose of this paper was to examine the impact of emotional labor on organizational commitment with mediatory role of self-efficacy. Data were collected from 120 employees working in different Call Centers across Pakistan using a questionnaire. Results indicate that emotional labor is negatively associated with organizational commitment even though the relationship is insignificant. While mediatory role of self-efficacy is established, implications are also discussed.

This study investigated the impact of emotional leadership of leaders on organizational commitment of hotel employees, as well as the mediating role of job satisfaction. The results indicate that: (1) Emotional leadership and job satisfaction have positive effects on organizational commitment. (2) Emotional leadership has a positive effect on job satisfaction. (3) Job satisfaction plays a mediating role between emotional leadership and organizational commitment.

Purpose Salesperson performance is accepted as a relevant factor of retailing success. However, scarce studies reveal the relationship between sales performance and brand relationship. The purpose of this study is both, from one side, to empirically demonstrate the impact of salesperson brand attachment (SBA) on sales performance and, on the other side, to identify the mediators of this relationship in small retailing. Design/methodology/approach A survey was conducted with a sample of 206 small retailers from different sectors of an emerging country. The proposed model was tested using partial least squares–structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) in SmartPLS3. Findings The results demonstrated that SBA is relevant to driving sales performance through two relevant paths – one following SBA–satisfaction–performance and one path following the SBA–commitment–performance. The model was able to explain 63% of the outcome performance. Practical implications Regarding small retailers, where the owners, employees and managers have higher levels of interaction than the large national retail chains, the marketing executives must invest in improving the attachment to the brand and create emotional bonds and cognition between marketers and the brand. They must develop strategies to promote job satisfaction and organizational commitment because they determine performance. Originality/value Despite the relevance of small businesses for economies worldwide and the importance of salesperson brand relationships, no study has been developed to demonstrate the impacts of such relationships on salesperson performance in retailing. Furthermore, in addition to the central role of organizational commitment in the sales research, to the best of the authors’ knowledge, this is the first study to explore how to mediate the relationship between brand attachment and sales performance.

The current study evaluated the impact of ethical leadership on employee creativity, with the mediating role of trust in leadership, while taking creative self efficacy as the moderator between trust and creativity. The data were collected from the 126 employees working in private sector organizations from Rawalpindi Islamabad region. The findings of the study indicated that ethical leadership is positively and significantly associated with the employee creativity as well as trust; whereas, trust in leadership partially mediates the relationship between the two. Similarly, the results confirmed that creative self-efficacy positively moderates the relationship between trust in leadership and employee creativity. Study implications and recommendations are also discussed.

This study aims to determine the influence of transfromational leadership, perceivedorganizational support, and employee engagement of organizational commitment. Thesurvey was conducted at Inspectorate Bekasi. There were 57 respondents selected throughpurposive sampling method. Respondents are permanent employees in the organizationand work for a minimum of five years. Based on the results of research by using multipleregression, and causal step mediation method, it can be conclude : (1) transformationalleadership has a positive affects to employee engagement, (2) perceived organizationalsupport has no positive affects to employee engagement, (3) transformational leadershiphas a positive affects to organizational commitment, (4) perceived organizationalcommitment has a positive affects to organizational commitment, (5) employee engagementhas a positive affects to organizational commitment, (6) employee engagement mediatesthe relationship between transformational leadership towards organizational commitment,and (7) employee engagement doesn’t mediates the relationship between perceivedorganizational support towards organizational commitment. The implication of this researchis if an organization has employees who instill a sense of employee engagement whoalways proud, enthusiasm of their work, and time feels fast at work will greatly affectorganizational commitment. Then, if having a transformational leader that directs themission to the organization, has a purpose, and expressed a sense of satisfaction inemployees will be able to increase the sense of employee engagement and organizationalcommitment. In addition, organizations that concerning of employees welfare, pride inemployees achievement, and appreciate the contribution of employees can also increaseorganizational commitment in Inspectorate Bekasi

This paper examines the impact of entrepreneurial education on intention to undertake entrepreneurial activity in the future. The study is based on a sample of 208 engineering students. Specifically, we explore the contingent effect of social norms on the relationship between entrepreneurial education and intention to undertake entrepreneurial activity, as well as the role of social norms on the association between entrepreneurial self-efficacy and entrepreneurial intention. We utilize a comprehensive questionnaire distributed among engineering students. Our findings indicate that entrepreneurial education is positively associated with the intention to undertake entrepreneurial activity, in addition to demonstrating a positive moderation effect role of social norms on the relationship between entrepreneurial self-efficacy and entrepreneurial intention. The study provides empirical support to devise new educational initiatives that can further support students and young entrepreneurs in their current or future entrepreneurial projects

An understanding of politics at workplace is of utmost importance as it is an inherent part of workplace activities. It is evident in processes such as decision making, allocation of resources. This study investigated the effect of perceived organizational politics (POP) on workplace attitudes such as job satisfaction, organizational commitment and turnover intentions. Further, the paper investigated the role of Leader-Member-Exchange (LMX) on the relationship between perceived organizational politics and workplace attitude. The hypothesized relationship was tested on a sample of 228 employees from Indian IT sector. Factor Analysis on POP suggested that variables can be summarized by two factors; Perceived Politics in organizational management (POP1) and Perceived Politics in co-workers (POP2). The findings suggest that there exists a negative relation between POP and workplace attitude. The results show that incase of the relationship between POP and workplace attitude, the part of organizational politics related to management has shown a significant negative impact on organizational commitment, job satisfaction, and a positive relation to turnover intention. With regard to the role of LMX in the relation between POP and workplace attitudes, results of LMX as a moderator have confirmed to the hypothesis.

Purpose – This paper holds the purpose to investigate the impact of ethical leadership and civility on organizational commitment and also to explore mediating role of work engagement in the relationship. Design/methodology/approach – With questionnaire survey, the current paper uses a sample of 340 employees from manufacturing sector of Lahore Pakistan. To test the hypotheses, analysis was accomplished by using Statistical Package for Social Science Software, through confirmatory factor and regression analysis. Findings – The results revealed that ethical leadership and civility have positive impact on organizational commitment. Strong empirical support also proved that work engagement mediates the relationship between ethical leadership, civility and organizational commitment. Research limitations/implications – This study design is cross-sectional, consequently accuracy of assumption concerning causality is restrictive. Practical implications – Results of this study discovered the importance of ethical leadership behaviors which play noteworthy role in developing employees and ethical organizational culture & support to ascertain an organizational ethical environment that leads to maximize work engagement and organizational commitment. Thus, ethical leadership behaviors & civility might be the key and most suitable practices to be implemented in manufacturing sector of Pakistan. Originality/value – This paper adds to the existing ethical leadership and civility literature by identifying work engagement as an additional mediator in the relationship between ethical leadership, civility and organizational commitment

The current research is aimed at studying the relationship between trait anxiety and intolerance of uncertainty, with its both facets: the inhibitory and the prospective anxiety and to establish whether or not the general self-efficacy plays a mediating role between the trait-anxiety and intolerance of uncertainty. Results show that a partial mediation takes part when general self-efficacy mediates the relationship between the intolerance of uncertainty, inhibitory anxiety, but a limited mediation when general selfefficacy interferes in the relationship between the trait-anxiety and intolerance of uncertainty, perspective anxiety. The main benefit of this paper is to demystify the impact of self-efficacy especially in unexpected, unknown situations, such as the COVID-19 pandemic.

Purpose- The paper aims to empirically testing the mediating effect of trust in management in the relationship between organizational justice and personal outcomes. The main purpose of this study is to understand mediating role of trusting the management on organizational justice and its impact on job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Approach- The study is based on the effect of organizational justice, trust in management, job satisfaction and organizational commitment among nursing staff working at different hospitals at Kathmandu Valley. This study incorporates design and distribution of questionnaire to 160 nurses belonging to different hospitals working on different scale of pay level. Findings- Organizational justice alone does not significantly increase job satisfaction as well as commitment in the organization. Trust in management mediates the relationship organizational justice and personal outcome. Organizational justice positively affect personal outcome when mediated by high trust in management. Practical implication- This paper is useful to academicians and organizations to understand the impact of trust in management on the work performance. This study provides practical implications towards nurses and management of hospitals. Management requires change in behavior to develop trusting environment in workplace.
