We have designed an intensive, three-week robotics program for high school students that combines theory with hands-on practical experience in cutting edge technologies. Conventional approaches to engineering education are bottom-up. Students are first taught the basics and are then courses that build on the basics. Most students do not take coursework on engineering applications, particularly design and systems engineering, until the end of the curriculum. This has the disadvantage of not exposing students to the excitement in engineering until late in the curriculum. Our goal is to develop a top-down curriculum in which students are introduced first to the applications and systems concepts which then leads to the teaching of fundamentals. This approach has the potential to recruit and retain students in engineering while making the curriculum more relevant and rigorous.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) pengaruh penerapan kurikulum 2013 terhadap minat studi lanjut siswa tingkat lulusan SMA dan SMK di Jurusan Pendidikan Teknik Informatika Undiksha, (2) pengaruh penerimaan mahasiswa baru terhadap minat studi lanjut siswa tingkat lulusan SMA dan SMK di Jurusan Pendidikan Teknik Informatika Undiksha, dan (3) pengaruh penerapan kurikulum 2013 dan penerimaan mahasiswa baru secara bersama - sama terhadap minat studi lanjut siswa tingkat lulusan SMA dan SMK di Jurusan Pendidikan Teknik Informatika Undiksha. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian Ex Post Facto dengan teknik korelasional. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada sekolah SMA dan SMK di Kabupaten Buleleng yang menerapkan Kurikulum 2013 dengan jumblah sampel sebanyak 284 siswa. Variabel yang diteliti adalah dua variabel bebas yaitu penerapan kurikulum 2013 dan penerimaan mahasiswa baru, serta satu variabel terikat yaitu minat studi lanjut. Data penerapan kurikulum 2013, penerimaan mahasiswa baru dan minat studi lanjut diperoleh melalui penyaberan angket, serta untuk mendapatkan penjelasan mengenai pengaruh yang diberikan antar variabel penelitian dilakukan analisa dengan teknik korelasi dan regresi dengan terlebih dahulu melakukan uji prasyarat analisis yaitu uji normalitas, uji linieritas, uji multikolinieritas, uji dan uji heteroskedastisitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara penerapan kurikulum 2013 dengan minat studi lanjut siswa tingkat lulusan SMA dan SMK di Jurusan Pendidikan Teknik Informatika Undiksha, terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara penerimaan mahasiswa baru dengan minat studi lanjut siswa tingkat lulusan SMA dan SMK di Jurusan Pendidikan Teknik Informatika Undiksha, dan secara bersama-sama terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara penerapan kurikulum 2013 dan penerimaan mahasiswa baru minat studi lanjut siswa tingkat lulusan SMA dan SMK di Jurusan Pendidikan Teknik Informatika Undiksha. This study aims to determine (1) the correlation of curriculum implemantion in 2013 of the interest of further studies graduate level Senior High School Students in the Department of Informatics Engineering Education (2) the correlation between admission of new students of the interest of further studies graduate level Senior High School Students in the Department of Informatics Engineering Education, and (3) the correlation between curriculum implemantion in 2013 and admission of new students of the interest of further studies graduate level Senior High School Students in the Department of Informatics Engineering Education Undiksha. This research is a Ex Post Facto research by correlational method. This research was conducted at Senior High School in Buleleng Regency whixh apply Curriculum 2013 with a total sample of 284 respondents. The variables studied were two independent variables that are learning organization and culture organization, as well as the dependent variable is the performance of the faculty of technic and vocational Undiksha. The data of cuririculum implementation in 2013, admission of new students and the interest of further studies graduate level Senior High School Studemts in the Department of Informatics Engineering Education Undiksha are obtained through questionnaire, as well as doing an analysis using correlation and regression technic to get an explanation of the correlation that occur between the research variables, by first do the prerequisite test analysis, such as the normality test, linearity test, test multicollinearity, amd heteroscedasticity test. The results show a positive and significant correlation correlation between admission of new students of the interest of further studies graduate level Senior High School Students in the Department of Informatics Engineering Education, there is a positive and significant correlation between correlation between admission of new students with interest of further studies graduate level Senior High School Students in the Department of Informatics Engineering Education Undiksha, and there is a positive and significant correlation between both cuririculum implementation in 2013 and admission of new students with interest of further studies graduate level Senior High School Students in the Department of Informatics Engineering Education Undiksha. keyword : Curriculum Implementation in 2013, Admission Of New Students, Interest of further studies.

In accordance with the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard of Secondary General Education, the formation of meta-subject competencies and universal educational actions among students is an important component of the educational process at school. The project and research activities of high school students in secondary school are organized within the framework of the subject «individual project». The article discusses the features of introducing the subject «individual project» into the curriculum of a technical lyceum, using its capabilities to form the readiness of graduates for engineering education. The article compares the features and results of the final individual projects in the «closed project space» and in the «open project space». The research methods were monitoring procedures and analysis of the results of a survey of high school students who worked on projects in the «closed project space» and «open project space».
